A word to the wise. Never trust an institution that you can't communicate with. Very UNPROFESSIONAL and Very disrespectful. I agree with a recent review. DEFINITELY A ONE STAR IS TOO HIGH, AND - OR NEGATIVE WOULD BE MORE APPROPRIATE...
No Email or Response Needed. Bank Of America was a way better option. So Glad I don't have to work with Citibank anymore and I will definitely tell my peers about this experience. It's a shame that racism still exist.

Mr sunshine is a ray of sunshine. Lived in palm springs a year ago From amsterdam and needed special service and this man is so together. He made the transition so easy. You don't find bankers like him anymore.

Horrible customer service! I came in before 4pm and bank closes at 5pm. I waited on someone to help me with opening new account and invest over 80k of new money. Noone assisted me. After waiting 15min, I approached the banker and was told to wait more and after I was told it's too late because it takes an hour to make new checking account. Ridiculous. So I ended up being late for an hour appointment, even though I was there waiting to be assisted.

Keep your $ anywhere else but here. The people in the branch are amazing but they have very few branches so you will have to call india for customer service. These customer service reps are some of the worste in the business because even in India Citi executives are hiring low grade people to save as much $ as they can for their lavish life styles while customers who make this possible suffer. I am personally disgusted by this banks upper management they are shameless.

Horrible. Asked for $20 in quarters and somehow it took nearly 20mins. Something about caution against money laundering and other nonsense… bank lady in charge was super weird and out of touch to say the least. Don’t go to this branch unless you have lots of time and a patient sense of humor.

I had to write to praise banker Jonathan Sunshine. Mr Sunshine stayed with us and was patient in working through all the elements involved in opening our accounts. He said he would take as long as it would take -- and he was committed to working through every last kink and make it happen. Mr Sunshine is our hero for going the extra mile with a smile and the best positive attitude ever. Amazing service!

We started our process over the phone which went well and then I had to go into the Palm Springs branch to finish up. Also there was a change I decided to make after the fact . Jonathan Sunshine helped us on the first walk in and seconds follow up appointment . He did a tremendous job and tosses in some one liners and and observations that keep the process moving along without getting bored. It was great doing business with him .

Worst phone service ever. Going into the branch to open accounts was just fine, staff was nice enough. Jonathan Sunshine was cool, got me signed up pretty quick, was pleasant and very knowledgeable, no problems here The trouble starts when you have to call in to CitiBank via the numbers provided on the back of the card. Customer Support reps generally are not well-trained, when they enter the information you provide you wait for at least 30 seconds to confirm what you said(the computers/internet at the call centers must be bad; this is not a reflection of the support rep, more of the decision for Citi to use a cheap call center). Got logged out of my online banking, was on the phone for 50 minutes, ultimately to be rerouted somewhere I had already been, only to be asked for my name and info again. Infuriating. Save yourself the trouble, bank somewhere else. Chase/BofA/US Bank at least have working phone systems/call centers. So much time wasted opening an account here.

It shows open till 5pm but it was closed at 4.45pm. They should adjust their hours online. Dissatisfied.

One of the most screwed up banks ever, we as a citibank credit card customer go into the branch to open a checking account, they failed to order the ATM cards on multiple occasions as agreed. The 1st set was ordered to arrive when we where leaving on vacation EVEN AFTER WE TOLD THEM THE VACATION DATES, we delayed leaving so we could get the cards. They told us they would order a 2nd set of cards (they never did), so we thought the 2nd set was arriving but it was just the pin numbers. So I call the bank again, only to find out they never ordered the 2nd set of cards but deactivated the 1st set. THIS BRANCH IS POORLY MANAGED AND THE EMPLOYEES DON'T LISTEN TO THE CUSTOMERS AND THEY DON'T DO AS THEY AGREEDED. DON'T USE THIS !#%#$# BRANCH, GOTO ANOTHER CITY, AVOID THE PALM SPRINGS BRANCH. One last thing, citibank uses the Philippines for customer service, it is horrible, poor communications, I guy mumbled & talked away from the phone, couldn't understand a string of numbers repeated twice. I've called on 2 or 3 occasions and the same problem, they have problems understanding english (yes they can say hello and their english sounds fine), the last 2 times, they said they would look into the issue and then hung up after 5 minutes. Latest news, another set of cards have been set out, we will will have to be home for the arrival of both sets, then we will will have to wait again for a new set of pin numbers. If anything screws up we will cancel our accounts.
