I've been to this particular location six times in the last few months and have had nothing but pleasant experiences. From Cindy to Tom and everyone in between.. I've had fast friendly and efficient service. Cindy in particular was very kind when we were late to return our car. Although we had to pay for another day, her delivery and follow up service was worthy of these five stars.

Never again will I book Budget at this airport. Waited in line just over 3 hours on 11/4/23 starting just before 2 pm. Never told what issue was but others speculated 6-8 planes came in same time; others said computer issues. How can they not know how many customers are coming in when everyone in line was saying they had reservations. It varied from 1 to 4 counter staff helping at various times with 3 at counter by time I arrived and 2 of them told me they were “rookies.” Felt bad for them. Other person was apparent supervisor handling “preferred” customers. After 15 minutes at counter had to wait for keys from returned/clean cars to come in and then they gave me the wrong car keys. Do NOT recommend. All other car rentals seemed to be running smoothly…and unfortunately most did not have extra cars so could not switch.

I totally agree with Will S' review below. Same thing happened to me. You get to a location to pick up your reserved car and being told to wait 45mins during business hours. I might miss my travel schedule now due to Jay's unprofessionalism. Please do not use this location, no one cares about you as a customer.

Arrived to pick up vehicle and there was a note on the window saying will be back in 45-55 minutes. It's 100 degrees and no ETA on when it will be back open. Avoid this location at all costs.

They charge you for insurance even if you turn it down verbally, then they hand you a printout which is printed on an old fashioned printer which is completely illegible. BE CAREFUL WITH THESE GUYS! DISHONEST

My recent rental experience at Jay's AVIS was, to put it mildly, a tremendous letdown. Despite having a confirmed reservation for pickup at 1 pm on a Friday, the office was unexpectedly closed upon my arrival.In place of professional customer service, we were greeted by a handwritten note informing us of a 45-55 minute delay. Stranded with our luggage in the unrelenting June desert sun, we were left feeling undervalued as customers. To make matters worse, the office was locked with no shade or shelter available.Upon contacting Jay, we were met with indifference and a lack of empathy. Despite informing him of our timely reservation and our need to adhere to a tight schedule, Jay's response mirrored the nonchalant tone of his handwritten note, offering no apologies or alternatives.In a desperate attempt to resolve the situation, I reached out to AVIS HQ. After an additional twenty minutes of frustration and heat exposure, we secured another car from the airport AVIS - but at double the initial cost.Regrettably, the series of inconveniences didn't end there. After enduring an hour's delay, a significantly increased rental cost, and a sweltering wait in an exposed parking lot, we were unjustly penalized with a $50 cancellation fee for the reservation we couldn't honor due to Jay's unannounced absence.I implore anyone considering Jay's AVIS to reconsider their options. While the attractive prices may be enticing, the potential risks and the lack of customer consideration simply do not justify the savings. I, for one, will be seeking out more reliable and customer-focused rental services in the future.

Dropped my rental off on April 19th at 3:45pm. Employee didn't check the vehicle out in the system until 8am the next day. I was charged for an additional day of rental and insurance. Called customer service who said the charge would be amended. The charge processed through my bank without being fixed. They still owe me money

They are a scam! Anyone rent a black Kia and the tire lost air? $100 charge! it is absurd! Better business bureau should be involved with them!

Great experience and price. Had absolutely no problems.It was a busy spring break weekend, airport was packed, there were only two people in line ahead of me (there were ~20 at the airport Budget rental), got my car and off I went.Would definitely book through them again.

To begin with - do not confuse this Avis-Budget Rent A Car location with their airport or any of their other locations. This review is for the Avis-Budget location at 650 S. Eugene Road in Palm Springs.This off-airport independently owned and operated Avis-Budget car rental agency has been our go-to location for two years now, having racked up about a dozen car rentals with them for both business and pleasure. Local to Palm Springs, we rent a car whenever we have to make a longer trip that we would rather not make in our older, less-than-comfortable SUV. This has meant renting either a sedan or SUV from here to make trips ranging from three days to a week to go to Orange County, Los Angeles, Las Vegas, and other points north and west. While smaller, we particularly like this location because it is substantially less expensive than renting at the airport - none of those hefty add-on airport fees and taxes. In addition, we always feel that we are being taken good care of by Jay - who runs the office and seems to do everything in the process: he handles the reservation, the paperwork, and lately seems to be the only one cleaning and prepping the cars as well (note to the owners: this good guy needs help!). A consummate professional, Jay has always been super helpful in helping us get the right car for whatever trip we are going to make. He is a pleasure to deal with - even on those days when we might have had to wait a few extra minutes while he waited on other customers. Jay sets the standard for how you hope to be treated in all your day-to-day business dealings. So whether you are local like us or flying in to PSP, I highly recommend this location for your Avis-Budget car rental. They are just minutes from the terminal at PSP and what you'll probably save on the rental is well worth the cost of an Uber to get there.

This Is a very small call rental facility but the customer service was incredible. I was having bad day and The front desk employee, Jay, made my day a whole lot better. The office might not look like much but it's definitely worth your visit.

When I’m doubt, do NOT go with the cheapest car rental company unless you want to wait in line for over 90 minutes! We got in line at 12:25pm and did not reach the counter until 2:00pm. Staff was friendly but I will never book through them again. The surrounding car rental places had almost ZERO people waiting in line. I registered for the “Fast Break” line while waiting in the regular line and the Fast Break line had just as many people and took just as long (my husband waited in case it was shorter). Terrible experience, especially with a 9 month old baby.

Stay away from this location. The experience I had here was HORRIBLE! I wish I would have read the reviews before coming here. First off we waited 30 minutes before someone helped us. The doors were locked and no one in sight. The person before me waited over an 1 hr. When we went around the back to the gentleman cleaning cars he told us he only cleans cars and doesn't help customers. Which is totally fine and I understand a lot of places are understaffed right now however, there was no sign on the doors that someone will be back shortly (this was at 9am) and that gentleman did not look for someone to help. Finally someone came into the building to help us. We were not greeted pleasantly instead we were given attitude, dirty looks, and talked to like we were incompetent individuals when asking a question about our booking. I rent cars frequently for travel and usually there is an inspection of the vehicle for any damages that are marked down before you sign the contract for the rental agreement. This gentleman handed us a premarked copy that stated every section of the car was in great condition and damage free. However we went to look at the car and saw so many cracks and dings that weren't marked. We had to ask for the paper original and carbon copy so we can go ahead and mark the damage. None of the paper shows our rental agreement number as well. This indivual didn't not care to properly do their job. There are so many people looking for jobs right now I would hope they hire someone with more customer service skills to provide great customer service.

My mom rented a car from the Little Rock Arkansas airport. The car broke down after 4 days. The rental car company left my mother stranded for several days without bringing her another car or picking this one up. Then the vehicle she rented, they finally sent a tow truck at 10pm to pick it up. She requested to cancel the rest of the reservation. But Avis still tried to charge her the full amount. And now they are trying to charge for a tire repair which did not occur until after the tow truck picked it up.
