Unfortunately for now I'm stuck using this pharmacy. You can only count on the Mgr pharmacist to help you. The rest treat you like your an addict. They have been given the power to tell you when YOU get your medications regardless of your condition! There's a new pharmacist who literally doesn't know how to count the days of when you had your last refill. She is incompetent, rude, uncaring, unprofessional! I will now have to record every time I approach this pharmacy. Find a better Walgreens than this one on Varner Rd! Your health may depend on it! Pharmacists should NOT have the control over your medications regardless if you need it 1-2 days early, so you don't run out! It should be given back to the insurance companies!! Update!! Finally left Walgreens!! If you value your health, leave this Walgreens ( Varner Rd, Palm Desert California 92211)..

This is what happens when there is no competition. There's only one pharmacy left open on this side of the freeway. Unfortunately for us, the person that cared doesn't work for Walgreens anymore. Now, no one gives a hoot. Try and get a prescription filled here. Better yet. Try and get a live human in the pharmacy on the phone. You must have Walgreens confused with a company that cares. From what I can see, the only thing worse than being a customer would be being employed by Walgreens. YIKES.
Day 2 of the ATTEMPT to obtain a prescription for an inhaler. After a long wait, I'm informed it's still not ready. Putting a label on a box must be a lot tougher than it used to be. They really should just close the store.
I did take the time to obtain the email address and wrote to Walgreens corporate headquarters regarding their horrible customer service. To the surprise of no one, no response has been received. The silence is deafening.

Store manager should be ashamed for letting a pharmacy be this bad. Don’t schedule anything with this pharmacy.

Refuse to honor their own app rewards claim that their own app does not work (scan to pay at the register) in store even though other locations have no issues. Very rude when trying to inquire as to why or get your cash rewards applied. AVOID AT ALL COST!!! If using them only for FedEx services I highly recommend the Postal Annex in the same shopping center as an alternative. For prescriptions their are other options across the street as well. Anything else can be purchased at the Stater Brothers next door or other Walgreens which will honor their customer rewards/app systems.

Just the worst pharmacy ever. I called in Rx's ordered for my daughter and the pharmacy told me to they would be ready in an hour. I got to the store 2 hours later and the clerk said they weren't ready and they would not be processed that day. When I told her, (I was kind and patient I promise) that we were told they would be ready in 1 hour she got very angry and told me she was no longer speaking to me and that if I didn't like it I could go talk to the manager.

Consistently awful. It doesn’t matter if you call the pharmacy, go to the drive thru, or walk in for service. The pharmacy is extremely unprofessional, rarely answers the phone, and when they do, you get out on hold for 10-15 minutes before they……hang up.

I gave 1 star because 0 stars is not possible. I have had so many issues with filling subscriptions at this pharmacy.Today, not only did they make me wait a half an hour, only to find out that they never submitted the prescription in the first place, it turned out they didn’t even have it in stock after the lady checked and told me they had it.Then, they went to see how many of a lesser dose they had, all the while talking very loudly about me in the back, complaining and being so incredibly rude… not a few off-handed remarks… there were several minutes of this. Then I told the tech the partial dose is more than I wanted to spend out-of-pocket and then I thought she went to double-check that their weren’t more pills back there, as discussed, but instead the pharmacist came up a few minutes later with the partial prescription I said I don’t want. The sad thing about this is that every time I’ve gone there, there’s been some weird issue. They are impossible to reach on the phone and my friends and family hate that Walgreens. I just went because it’s super close to my house.I have never had a worse experience in customer service. The pharmacy staff are so unprofessional and incompetent. They will mess up and gaslight you. It’s bizarre. There are so many other pharmacy choices in this area. La Quinta pharmacy delivers. Walmart is easy. I will be going somewhere else. I would recommend others do the same, based on my many interactions with these folks.

I am a new customer to both the store and Walgreens as my pharmacy. I've been using CVS on Washington for years. I was so happy with the automated service, quick and smart. Today I went in and walked right to two waiting agents waiting to help. I was given the price earlier so I knew my cost, picked up 3 prescriptions and paid, out in five minutes! So much better!! It's close, easy, and so less time consuming! I am sold!

Don't use the pharmacy! They don't care about their customers. Horrible customer service and closed on weekends! I came here when they opened to get my sons seizure medication that we were completely out of. Even though I was the first one there the pharmacist said it would be 1 1/2 hours until they could refill the prescription even though it was already on file. I explained that this is seizure medication and he has already missed a dose so could we just get 8 pills and wait until this afternoon to get the rest and he refused saying he can't do that because he has one other customer in line. And he was not nice about it. Transferring all prescriptions to a pharmacy that cares. I would give zero stars if I could.

The WORST Walgreens pharmacy I've experienced!

The WORST pharmacy in the valley!!! I have tried to call and they don't answer the phone. I have sat in the drive through for 10minutes and NOT one person acknowledges your there. I have sat in the line in the drive through when there were 5 cars and it took 45 minutes to get to the window and another 10 for someone to acknowledge. They consistently screw up my prescriptions. There are only a couple of the female staff that are nice and try. The rest appear to hate their job and dislike working with the public. Did I mention they are CLOSED on the weekends! Walgreen's better get their act together cause this valley is small!

I have been using this pharmacist for the past five years and never had an issue. This pharmacy has rapidly gone down hill in the past year and they're getting worse as the days go by. They are now completely disorganized. The pharmacy workers seemed not to care anymore. They act burnt out. I no longer get auto reminders for my medicine refills. I have to keep track as not to run out. When I do request refills through their automated system, it's a 50/50 shot that it will be refilled. Every other time I go there to pick up my medicine, I'm told they have no record of the refill and give me a look as though it's my fault. The only reason I try to stick with this place is because it's right around the corner from my house. From what I understand is that this Walgreens took all the customers from the RiteAid that closed across the street. They took them without adding any employees to handle the extra work. Walgreens! If you're listening! Get this place in shape and get a grip! Just read other reviews and understand that there is something very wrong here!

The absolute worst pharmacy in the desert. I'm not someone to leave reviews but this place is an absolute disaster. Completely disorganized, and cannot answer phone calls from doctors despite having 5 to 6 people working in the pharmacy. It is completely unacceptable. And Walgreens should totally revamp employees working this pharmacy.
