I’ve been bringing my golden doodle here for three years. Because he’s a big dog, they encourage me to book in advance. They have always accommodated him without compromising his care. I keep him cut very short because he’s curly. He really has bonded with the people who groom him at pampered pet. Their scheduling is really easy. The people that work there are very humanitarian, and the price is very reasonable for the Coachella Valley.

Our pup Phoebe before going to pampered pet was sent home from 2 different grooming facilities because she was frightened and too skiddish to be worked on. Someone in the park referred us to pampered pet . The staff were so amazing, they knew exactly what to do and Phoebe looks fantastic. She was so happy when we picked her up. I highly recommend this place!

I called Jo at Pampered Pet in Palm Desert to schedule Eddie for a wash, trim and nails. She reminded me that it was going to rain the next few days and we should schedule later because Eddie would just get dirty right away. How many retailers would intentionally turn away business? Jo is a smart and considerate businesswoman and I highly recommend Pampered Pet for your four-legged friend.

Unfortunately me and my Australian Shepherd did not have the best experience at this groomer. First of all the set up is definitely not made for medium/large dogs. They have the dogs together separated by x-pens, which any dog larger than 20lbs could easily push over. When we were about to go pick up our dog, they were calling telling us to come get him now because he was freaking out- understandable as their setup is not made for medium/large dogs and could not hold our 10 month old Aussie. When we got there they proceeded to tell us there would be an extra charge as they had to have 2-3 groomers holding him because he was not behaving. Keep in mind my dog is not aggressive in any way, he is just a 10 month old Aussie with a good amount of energy. Apparently my dog did not like the blower to dry him off after his bath, so they proceeded to put him in a crate, with blowers on all sides of him. This really upset me as I do not think this is a humane solution to a dog being scared of a blower, as this would just make the fear 100 times worse. And it did. They told us that he then chewed through the metal on the crate. He was obviously very scared, if he does not like the blower is putting him inside a crate with blowers on all sides the best solution? My dog is now completely traumatized of any type of blower. And I am now very scared to take him to any new groomer as this was not a good experience for me or my dog. The manager, I believe Jo, then proceeded to tell us that he needed to take some CBD to calm down. He is a 10 month old australian shepherd puppy, which anyone who knows anything about dog breeds knows that this breed is high energy. I would not recommend this place if you have a young puppy with energy or any type of dog larger than 20lbs, or if you don't want your dog to be completely traumatized to the point of chewing through a metal crate.

My wife and I have tried other groomers. But the pampered pet is the best we've been to. They're very caring and watch after your pets and do a wonderful job. Only play will take R Bella.
