We had a terrible experience at Summer Colony today. Went in with my mom and sister because we love Cynthia Rowley, and we are looking for mother of the bride dresses. Also, our daughters are coming in tomorrow and are each getting married in the next 10 months. I would have liked to make an appointment to see wedding dresses. Unfortunately no one asked to help us. No one even said hello or welcome. There seemed to be 2 or three employees and one other customer. The customer engaged us in a conversation, I suppose because she was also being ignored.
I was looking forward to shopping here. I’d read about the store and I appreciate locally owned and managed businesses. I was actually embarrassed in front of my mother at the treatment we received. She wondered if we had somehow upset these people.
Maybe it’s a vibe to act like you can’t be bothered with customers. It doesn’t work.

2 of the 3 staff were rude and not the least bit interested in showing me wedding dresses. The 3 kindly offered to go look to see what she could find. Turned if she went into the back, came back and said she had nothing. I felt like Julia Roberts in Pretty Woman.., Big Mistake! I did find a beautiful wedding dress at a much friendlier shop.
