Though I have enjoyed shopping at the men's department at Saks 5th Avenue many times during past trips, today was a major let down. An older, well dressed gentleman by the name of Andy could not have been more rude and haughty. He may have been well dressed, but his demeanor and lack of gentility and basic customer service etiquette was unacceptable. Certainly makes me think twice about returning if that's the caliber of staff Saks is employing.

The store didn't have enough selections of shoes. We were there for almost an hour at the shoes department, and nobody greeted us. The sales person at the ladies' clothing department on 1st floor was an exceptional friendly.

I came in today hoping to find a bag. I walked in no one wanted to come help me. The workers didn't approach me and I had to ask for help. The staff is so disrespectful, I saw people who came in after me and were immediately greeted and helped. This place is straight up racist. Nancy was the associate I approached and she blandly did not want to help me. I had to call a manager. Avoid this place if you are any other skin color color but white. I am reaching out to corporate to file a case and from the looks of the past reviews. I am not the first person who they have discriminated against.

What happened to Saks Fifth Avenue ? I worked for them 18 years and what I experienced at the Palm Desert store was humiliating. Saks is where you are supposed to feel listened to and catered to when buying something for a special occasion. Today I looked online for a vendor thar Saks sells. I found the vendor section but when I asked Pearl for help. I got scolded and asked what Saks location I needed. I said this one Palm Desert. I didn't want off 5th She asked me the same question again It was so weird. I wasn't in the wrong place. I only wanted to know if they had the item in stock. She walked me over to the section and said look for it. Thank god another associate heard and offered to help. Times for retail are bad. I was planning to spend at least 1000 dollars. When I worked for Saks the customer came first. I won't be coming back.

Why bother having men’s shoes!!! Very little selection and what is there does not have common sizes available like 10.5. It would also make sense to have staff that work in men’s shoes with some insight in to product lines and who are actually interested in helping customers. Walked in planning to spend thousands of dollars for a holiday shoe tradition but ended up walking out. Very disappointing.

We had fun for a few min just looking at the price of shoes. $2000 for a pair of heels, uh that's a little much dontcha think. We were laughing.

Terrible selection. Service no where near Saks standards. Honestly this one should be zero stars. Sales people acted like they were bothered by our presence.

This is now my Review #500th. I've always liked this brand & branch here at El Paseo, Palm Desert whenever I would visit Palm Desert. because they carried such a variety of brands here to choose from. Like all other Outlet 'Saks Fifth Avenue,' stores, they hold the following sections of items in store that catch your eyes~Handbags, cosmetics, fragrances, shoes, clothing, accessories and other accessories and more.....These sections came from the top of my thoughts. I would definitely drop by this store if anything. This is a long overdue review, though! I'll be back again next trip!
