Let me begin with the employees, they're very helpful, polite, and incredibly kind. However the institution itself is incredibly lacking. Now I have to go to court to get money that is clearly mine. They have more than enough documentation to prove this, but corporate in their greedy tactics is going to drag this out. Do yourself a favor and avoid this bank like the Plague... I will NEVER do business with this bank again, and now they've lost yet another customer. The way they do business I don't suspect they'll be around for much longer...

Bank had 3 branches. Now down to one. Reduced amount that can be deposited via mobile to $5000. Must be using inferior deposit captrure camera as a bank check with clearly printed numbers is rejected by this inferior technique. A legally blind party can read the captured numbers. No doubt they’ll be shocked when their customer unfriendly business fails.

The bank keeps taking away. Had 3 local branches, now down to one. Reduced to $5000 limit daily deposit. Camera capture of mobile deposit crappy. A legally blind party could read the numbers on deposit check, but not this low rate technique. Plus they pay next to nothing on account. Been with them since it was the La Jolla bank watched them become customer unfriendly. Surely they'll be surprised when they fail...

Became my bank when it merged with ONE WEST BANK (formerly LA JOLLA BANK) Nothing but problems now whether in person or on-line. It took almost 2 hours of my time this week to connect with on-line banking which involved 2 customer service calls, changing my password multiple times and changing my customer ID multiple times. Transactions btwn this bank & others, automatically updating the new routing number were seamless except for Barclay Bank which charged me a fee b /c Barclay says FIRST CITIZEN bounced a payment. Yesterday I went to the La Quinta branch to learn it is permanently closed. I never got notice of this. Today I visited Palm Desert to see a notice on the door that they now close for a 90 min lunch break daily. Only could see 2 employees working. I waited on line for 30 min just to cash a check. I'm beginning to research which bank to move my accounts to. No salvation possible from FIRST CITIZEN. I need customer service, in-person hours and if possibly evening hours + wknd hours.

I had my reservations about going with a smaller bank but I am so glad I did.. The branch manager brandi and Jose were fantastic in dealing with a scam on my account from someone who got both my debit card and bank info. They caught it right away and called me.. And then got the charges reversed.. Also a shout out to Bonnie in accounting. This is a great bank that will give you a lot of personal attentis . Thank you to all there !!!!

Im working on opening up my own business and the employees at this branch were super helpful in getting my business account set up. Natalie, the banker, explained everything in terms I understood and made me feel very welcomed. The branch manager Sal was also very attentive and provided excellent customer service. I would definitely recommend this bank and branch to anyone looking to open a personal or business account.

My wife and I have been members of One West Bank for over 5 years. We have been working with the branch in Indian Wells, but they recently closed. The staff there were fantastic. We are now working with the staff in palm desert. I find them very friendly and informative. We look forward to working with them on an on-going basis.

My IRA matured on January 28th 2019. They keep telling me my check was mailed on February 7th. The office 3 hours away and has of today February 16th I still have not received my money and I am getting no interest. They said if I don't receive the check my February 21st to call them and they will issue a new check. This is not how to run a bank.
