Contracted with Van Slyke Construction for a Bathroom Design Remodel. I canceled the project 5 months after the agreed upon completion date. Hired another contractor to complete punch list. The overall quality of the Remodel did not my expectations for a 6 figure remodeling ... in my opinion here are some things you might want to consider when undertaking a remodel: vet the Company/Contractors ability to meet the financial requirements of your project. Don't pay more than what your state require as a down payment. Don't pay for materials when ordered pay only when delivered. Don't pay a Suppliers required upfront fees, that's your contractors responsibility. Always have a written contract !!!Services: Home renovations

Contracted with Van Slyke Construction for a Kitchen and Bath Design Remodel. The project exceeded the completion date by nearly 5 months. Quality did not meet the expectations of a six-figure remodel. General Contractor was on-site less than 5 times, all but one of which was to ask for funds. Here are some tips that might help with your next home project./1/ You Must have a written contract./2/ Any verbal agreements Must be reduced to writing./3/ Initial deposit should be no more than state requirement. Ca $1,000.00/4/ DO NOT PAY FOR ANY MATERIALS PRIOR TO THEIR DELIVERY NOT WHEN ORDERED./5/ Vet the business and the contractor. Can they financially support the project. Do they have the necessary credit facility. Check prior performances for prior Bankruptcies, Federal, State and Local tax issues and failure to pay sub contractors or employees. Longevity and Stability./6/ DO NOT pay the Contractor if a Supplier requires a deposit. If asked, it's a good sign your Contractor is underfunded or credit bound./7/ Seek out a Contractor or Service's that have strong business ethics.

Dwight did both my desert home bathroom remodels and I LOVE them! Such a pleasurer to work with, his design skills and attention to detail are exceptional. He works with the best vendors and skilled craftsmen. All in all it was a lot of fun, which normally is not the case with a remodel. Thanks Dwight!

Dwight and his team did an amazing job on our two bathrooms. He understood exactly what I wanted and made it happen. We live in LA and Dwight always kept in contact and would send pictures of the progress along the way. We are so pleased with the finished product and get so many compliments!

You can not ask for anymore than this company. The owner Dwight is the best person to work for you. He actually takes the time to walk through what you want exactly. He looks around for the best deals, keeps to your budget and also gives great advice for design. I had a lot of fun doing my kitchen with him and him allowing me to tag along to all the purchases that needed to be decided on. I thought the demolition of my space was going to be a headache but it was actually very quick and he kept my home clean of the dust I was expecting. I recommend Kitchen and Bath Design Group to anyone who is looking to redo something in their home!! definitely 5 stars!!!!!
