“Hello Future Desert Fitness Collective students,My history with fitness is start stop start stop fail give up pizza ?I started Coach Cheryl’s senior fitness program on October 19, 2023. Since that day I have been working at doing my best being consistent with the classes. I have missed a couple, but have not given up, I feel more motivated than I have in many years.I feel stronger ??. If I, at 2 months shy of 74 years, can do it, so can you! Making the big decision to START will help you in so many ways.Do it for YOU! I can almost guarantee you won’t be sorry!Cheryl is the Best coach; so knowledgeable about fitness, especially for senior peeps, affirming, genuine and encouraging! I could go on about what a joyous atmosphere Cheryl creates in working us.P.S. I forgot to mention that I am walking better, heel toe heel toe heel toe even with flat feet, no more shuffling.Cheryl taught us how to get up off the floor; It may sound wacky but before these classes, I remember crawling over to the couch struggling to lift my body off the floor. “So I’ve been a member of The Camp at several of the Los Angeles locations for around 8 years. I often go to La Quinta to visit family and for this Easter ? weekend visit, I was just so nervous about falling off my routine as I usually do when I visit. So I did a quick google search and found the The Camp Palm Desert ?, thank goodness! This is A GREAT location! Huge facility with workouts just as fun, challenging, and do-able as what I am used to in L.A. I took a class with Jory and met his wife who is also a trainer here. They are the sweetest people as is Monique at the front desk and all of their gym members. Great people at all different ages and levels of working out. Just a pleasure to take a class here and I can’t wait to visit again to take another one. Side note: Jory, the trainers birthday was the next day and his wife prepared little “bar bell” and “dumbbell” treats with pretzels and marshmallows, and gummy lifesavers and red licorice for everyone to enjoy after the workout. Unfortunately for me, I couldn’t eat any since I’m currently doing the 6 week challenge but it really stood out to me the sense of family and camaraderie that this gym has and that every gym should strive to have.”

“So much wonderful things to say! My gym has been such a wonderful gift for my son. He has developed to such a confident toddler and has learned so much. It also has been wonderful meeting such wonderful parents and my son making friends. Laura, Alex, Mickey and all the team have been so kind and thoughtful. Thank you for all that you do!! The team creates such wonderful and unique classes each week and are amazing with the kids!!”

“I recently bought a class pack here and absolutely love taking the classes at this location. The staff are unbelievable. Amy, Anna and Olivia are always so organized and on top of their jobs and their customer service skills are off the charts. Every time I have taken a class, they have treated me like a friend and never fail to show smiles on their faces even in the busiest of times. Coach Steph is on another level too and always brightens the mood during class. No matter how much I struggle gasping for air on the tread while the older members are cruising along next to me bopping their heads to Smooth Criminal by MJ, coach Steph always reassures me and gives me the confidence to push harder than I ever could on my own. She is truly an amazing coach and I know many of the other members who have taken her classes will say the same. DO NOT be discouraged by some of the negative reviews from one timers and recognize that the overall OTF community and the environment here that has been developed by these ladies is something to admire. Whether you are a new member, or a member looking to take a class in a new location, Amy, Anna, Olivia, and Coach Steph will make you feel at home and will show you why this Palm Desert location is top notch!”

“Looking for a place to learn boxing as your new sport? Perfect, here it is. We went yesterday for a private training class with Lionel at MatrixFit and just loved it. Lionel did a great job explaining the moves and we got a full workout, with plenty of fun and sweat. It definitely made us want to go again and we highly recommend trying boxing there, whether you're a complete beginner or already an expert. Thank you, Lionel!”

“So far it's been my first week working out and I feel changes within my body already. Jen & Natalie have been such wonderful people that push your limits better than any other coach i've seen. What I like about this gym is that they actually see if you're doing your best or not and they try to give your other suggestions if it's too much for you. I would like to keep going and see how far I can get.”

“I love this gym. It's a private gym and has a wide variety of equipment. It's very clean and the trainers are excellent. I have had trainers over the years but Tina is absolutely the best. Tina plans my workouts just for me and my needs. Tina gives me her total attention and challenges me on every single session. After my sessions I go away feeling renewed both body and mind. “From the time I walked in, Miranda was warm, friendly and very sweet. She thoroughly went over my options. I told her about my medical history and she empathized and also connected sharing her own similar personal struggle with the same health issue. She did not push me towards any specific program. When she helped me register she even helped me download the app and showed me how to use the electronic key with her beside me. I had an amazing first impression!Then, I met Annette. I had a nice visit where she went over where I am starting with this fancy scale that measures body fat and took some measurements. She was positive in reading me that we will work on these as our target areas in my personalized training program she tailors to suit me. I requested a morning and she accommodated my commuter schedule. Annette is one of the nicest, down to earth people ever she doesn’t make me feel intimated and is so accommodating.You’re making my fitness journey more relaxed by helping me be less apprehensive!
