I’ve been a customer of 1st Bank for over 15 years. They’ve seen my company grow from a small local business to an International operation. In the beginning it was certainly a little more difficult to borrow money but that was during the recession as well. I will say that they always kept their promises and we’re very personable to work with. Between Lance, Peter and Ramiro, as well as most of the tellers and ebank team it has been nothing but a pleasure. I banked with some other big banks but I really felt like a number. If you are looking for a medium sized local bank to work with I would suggest you get in touch with them. They may be a bit conservative when it comes to taking risks but I know my money is safe and that is important to me.

I have an employee who attempted to cash his check at this location in palm desert who was treated very bad by the staff there who refused to cash his check when it is a first bank check and he had all the proper identification on top of that he had cashed his checks for weeks prior I will be terminating my account and would not recommend this bank to anyone

No integrity and poor customer service. I was promised a bonus opportunity when opening my account. I never saw the promised bonus. They closed my account without any prior knowledge or contacting me. They runied my excellent credit by lying and reporting this as a charge off without giving me a chance to correct the matter, even though they were at fault. They gave misleading information to me when I opened the account. I tried to contact them and ask if they would honor the commitment they made and I was told I had to pay them 300.00 more than I owed. I spoke to over 1/2 dozen people and was told something different during each conversation. This is absolutely the worst bank in the desert. Do yourself a favor and find a different bank.

I've been a customer of 1st Bank for almost 4 years and never once have I ever had a problem with this bank. Very great service, very easy to bank with as well.

First Bank works with you to understand your needs and wants. It is a smaller bank which I like and very conveniently close to my home and shopping. Glad seniority means something to them with their customers.

First bank in Bermuda Dunes automatically closed my checking account for my security protection without my knowledge. They stayed I needed to reopen another checking account. They were making me pay for new checks again. I asked If they can waive this and they stayed no, so I closed my account. Most banks would have ordered their customer their first set of checks for opening an account. This bank does not place their customers first and honestly don't care loosing customers. Not once did they try to convince me to stay, like most banks do.

Thought it was a pretty solid bank until they wouldn't cash my hard earned paycheck. My funds were low and they said they wouldn't cash it because of that and because I was not a long term customer (6 months at this point). They had cashed one previously from the same company no problem but it had been a smaller amount. Now that I was paid more they denied me. The idea that customers are treated differently in regards to seniority was enough for me to close my account. I love feeling half rate! Thanks FirstBank!
