This bank is racist they close my account without my consent and tried to embarrass me in front of my family. I never requested my account to be closed nor did I ask . The clerk’s are rude with bad attitudes. I was pushed out do to the color of my skin .bias,racism hatful people that think it 1933 bad customer service. You look at more of there reviews you can see that all the white people are happy with bank because they get treated excellent but you can also see that all the brown and black people statement are how they get treated poorly.this is truly sad and pathetic. I would never recommend to anyone!

first bank was racist they had a problem with me do to the color of my skin .I went in with my white wife and white mother in-law and the male clerk goes up to me while I was waiting on the chair he come up to me saying we closed your account! I never asked him to close my accounts I was baffled and right when I was about to ask why he looks over to my mother in law and her I may I help you my mother in law said where with him and noticed how rude he was towards me .It was as if he was trying to embarrass me I front of white people.For the record I never requested to close my account nor did I ever ask about closing my account they didn't want me in the bank do to my race!

The tellers at this branch (Monterey & 111) don't know what the heck they are doing. I brought in my deposit (about 30 checks and a couple hundred in cash) and she kept saying she "needs $185 more cash." Huh? Together we confirmed that my deposit slip had the same cash amount as what I was giving her. She looks at me puzzled and says, again, "we need another $185 cash." ??? She called a more senior teller over and the two of them were stumped, and simply could NOT tell me what was wrong with my deposit, only that they needed $185 more in cash. I explain the basics to them, that my deposit is what it is, there's no "more cash" to be had... they look at me like I'm speaking an alien language. So, I asked for a calculator to figure it out for myself, and she gave me one, then started scolding me when I started to take it to a counter to figure out my mistake. "THAT IS BANK PROPERTY!!!" And they start treating me like I'M the problem, that I'm trying to steal a calculator. Oh brother. I found my error in five seconds, a $30 error in the checks and took the deposit to another branch, and it was fine. My expectation is that a teller will have the skills and training to figure out what's wrong with a deposit. Not at this branch. Avoid.

I was amazed by the professionalism of all the employees at the highway 111 branch today, I was very lucky to have been assisted by their branch manager Michelle who demonstrated respect, interpersonal skills, and friendliness. She is an asset to the company.

Had a very pleasant experience today. Was greeted immediately with a teller in less than 2 minutes. After making the cashiers check process seamless, the teller waived my fee for my patience. She was pleasant, caring, and attentive. I felt taken care of and important to the business. I just moved from Colorado Springs and was ecstatic to find that there was a 1st Bank in the Desert. I am also very pleased to find the type of customer service that makes me love this bank right around the corner. See you all soon and thank you.

Let me start by saying - 1st bank a great local bank, Ive been a customer for many years --however-- This branch (Hwy 111 & Monterey) is THE ABSOLUTE WORST!!!!! The tellers are horrible and customer service is non-existent. I shudder every time I have to use this branch. Please fumigate the staff and start over. (Take a lead from the branches on Washington/Hovely and the one on Washington/Varner Rd. The staff at both these locations are great!!)
