The lady was friendly and a joy to talk with. My wife and I got a few clothing items and enjoyed our visit.

I took classes here for a few years before working at COD's Academic Skills Center. Because I have incurable ADHD I cannot pass college algebra (What is a Big Mac times Tuesday of next week?) but I excelled in everything else. But the most fun I had was tutoring English, composition, psychology and business classes at the ASC. If COD deserves a minus star, it's for their journalism and school newspaper. When I was there it was taught by a mentally dysfunctional, elderly gentleman who should have retired years earlier. It was the most embarrassing publication I have even observed. I've seen 3rd grade scrawlings that had fewer grammar errors than COD's Toilet Paper On Newsprint. As for the other 1 star reviews posted here, consider this statistic: COD sits less than 20 minutes from the #2 lowest test scores on record in California. And where do those revolving-door high school grads (sic) land next? College of the Desert. When we get them, they have their HS diploma, but can't function above an 8th grade level. That's OK, because they can start with remedial classes that will cover what they missed in high school. If they're lucky, they can then take classes that are transferable to genuine career-oriented universities. But if not, it's the end of the road for these overlooked kids.

I'm the girlfriend of a teacher at the College of the Desert in Palm Desert, and I have to say, I'm impressed with the school. The campus is beautiful and well-maintained, and the facilities are top-notch. The faculty and staff are all incredibly knowledgeable and supportive, and my boyfriend speaks highly of the administration's commitment to creating a positive and inclusive learning environment. The student body is diverse and engaged, and there are plenty of opportunities for students to get involved in clubs and activities. Overall, I would definitely recommend the College of the Desert to anyone looking for a high-quality education in the Palm Desert area.

It was a beautiful day and we spent it here. Love that the vendors are back and it seems to be growing.

The people in the bookstore are always so friendly. There is one woman who is especially kind. When she says have a nice day, I always felt like she truly meant it.

Went there on a weekend and parked where there were no cars parking around me and parked a little over on one of the lines where I parked and a Barney five security came up and told me he can give me a ticket for parking over the line like I told him that no one is around and I am not that far over the line. Very rude security definitely a Barney five situation. Maybe the security should be trained on how to talk and treat people on their campus. And not act so gung ho. Mellow out security.
