Love, love, love Canterra…only one black eye there is only one dump site for trash disposal…unheard of!We have to drive our bacteria infested trash to the only dumpster site available to over a 300 unit complex. This has to be a health hazard.

I would give this place a 4.5 star. The office staff are very helpful, they are available 7 days a week, the maintenance guys are great, any issue gets taken care of ASAP. And the citrus trees are the cherry on the top! The reason I took 1/2 star is that in their construction they did not account for noise from adjacent apartments. The floors are not insulated well, and the windows are not insulated well.

First, you have to understand the difference between old tenants and new. I was a new tenant and my apartment was renovated. So I didn't have the problems that the old tenants talk about. This place is beautiful. Looks just like a resort. Lovely landscaping and super clean with the exception of a few irresponsible dog owners. The maintenance staff is nice but not qualified to evaluate many issues. On every issue regarding appliances, they said the issue was some minor thing when in fact the appliance had to be replaced. The office staff is considerate and professional. I found this place to be incredibly safe. Left my car doors unlocked for two years even with a credit card in the seat one night and noone took a thing.Ask if there will be any closures. A week after I moved in, the clubhouse, gym and one pool were closed for more than a year. Naturally, no discount was provided on the rent during this time.

Not a bad place, but prices are little bit high for what you will get.

Renters Beware of CANTERRA APARTMENT HOMES!! I have only lived here two months and already am moving out. The entire rental process was discriminatory and I was treated very different than other races. For example the leasing agent Alissa refused to show me an unit in the back of the property telling me she couldn't go that far into the property. She gave me a key and I had to find it myself having never stepped foot in Canterra Apartment Homes ever before. Then a couple weeks ago I see her showing a Caucasian woman a unit across from me then walking back down the sidewalk with the perspective tenant. What kind of person does that to someone when it's their job to show apartments? Then after moving in I found out the corporation that owned Canterra called Greystar had been sued by a group of tenants in a class action lawsuit they lost for consumer protection violations regarding the same issues. There are also articles online of them neglecting apartments so much so that black toxic mold started growing through the carpets. See pics attached from the online article below. 2urbangirls.com/2022/09/…I am posting this so nobody else goes through what I did. After I moved in I tried to look past the way I was made to feel by the application process and start anew. However, there has been nothing but harassment since moving in from the Greystar corporation and collaborative partner, ASSURANT , who claimed to be an insurance company working with management that sent me threatening letters for two months stating I was in violation of my lease due to not having renters insurance which was a bold face lie. You can't even get the key to your unit to move in until you have provided the management with all requested documents and copies of utilities being turned on in your name. So I had to take hours away from my business just to deal with their false accusations that I didn't have renters insurance. I even reported them to the State of California Insurance Commission who opened an investigation. I am a major network news producer and business owner so I know how to be resourceful if need be. The investigation revealed that Assurant wasn't even a real insurance company. The commission sent me a letter stating just that. I contacted my insurance agent who informed me they are some scam company that gets over on people living in luxury apartments throughout the desert taking advantage of elderly and unknowing folks moving from other towns like I did. They had the nerve to send me an entire insurance policy in the mail that I never ordered and charged me for it on the Canterra tenant portal used to pay all the charges rent, trash filled with large crows, sewage, and water which puts an extra $100 added to your rent. Then when they got caught they did nothing. I knew them and there that these people hold the devil's hand and it was time to get far away from this place. On top of this the front pool has no heater and is always ice cold, the jacuzzi has never worked either, and the back pool feels like your swimming in cooking grease. I been in it one time never to return. The back pool is often shut down for maintenance who comes at 5 a.m. banging loudly waking up tenants. That and the lawn mowing every day and blowing sand all over your cars does not give anyone a peaceful existence inside your unit at all. There is constant noise it's hard for me to work from home and I'm often embarrassed when I'm Zoom meetings folks can hear it. The management is so without a clue they leave the sign up stating the pool is closed with the wrong dates on it all the time so the tenants and kids get in it anyway not realizing the repair and cleaning process hadn't been completed which is so unsafe and very nasty. Lastly, my home was swarmed with large flying ants that had wings carrying dead bees and took over my balcony furniture and everything. I couldn't even let my small dog out to play. I had never seen anything like it in my life. And tonight while sitting at my dining table watching the end o

One of our adult kids wanted to relocate to the desert area here in the Coachella Valley. After several visits to other apartments, they decided to move to Canterra. They are not the cheapest or the most expensive, but the amenities were the nicest of all locations visited and staff was professional and amiable. It will be nice to have them and the grandchildren close to us.

It's a nice place but a bit pricey. I do appreciate the quick maintenance services & gated community for added safety. I do seem to have issues with insects, unfortunately. Not sure if it is due to my proximity to the garbage collection unit
