“I really appreciate both this market and Marshall's across the street. It's not easy being the only gas and groceries provider in our small but vocal community. The owners (of both stores now) are gracious, eager to help out and open to suggestions. The standout item in the Firehouse Market is the freezer by the door filled with Marriani's custom ice cream. Thanksgiving's Pumpkin was excellent, and now there's a lovely creamy Eggnog. The Spumoni is so refreshing, while the Chocolate Mandarin is beautifully indulgent. “This was a very clean store and the staff were very friendly and helpful to their customers. They had freshly baked cookies and other treats and the coffee was delicious, you know it’s got to be good if you’re local law enforcement goes in to get their coffee and its great that it’s a 24 hour store if you want to have a clean restroom you can always guarantee that the restroom will be clean unless they have a rush of customers coming in after they get off work and need to pick up something quick and have to use the restroom . Thanks for the customer service and kind employees that work hard in the late hours of the night and into the morning. Exceptional customer service was very nice to have received.”

“We work with CareMark and Caremark specialty for critical prescriptions related to transplant recipient prescriptions. CareMark or its specialty partner dropped the ball on an important refill which caused my wife to run out. This proved to be a significant time-kill. After hours of calls, customer service frustration, my wife was able to get Caremark to send 4 pills to try to bridge some of the days between when the script was tentatively going to arrive. Caremark, in the late afternoon, sent the script to our local CVS pharmacy. That pharmacy did not have the meds in stock. In an extreme pinch, and under their significant work-load, the Pharmacist at Rio del Mar, Aptos store, contacted another local CVS at 7:20 PM. Both pharmacies at that late hour were inundated with work. The Pharmacist was able to reach Pharmacist (Ms. Thanh) and she confirmed they had the pills. I arrived at the CVS and I was greeted by Michele (Hero). Expecting and fearing the worst, she was amazing. She found the information and swiftly worked with the pharmacist (Thanh) to fill the temporary script minutes before closing.These staffers should be commended. This was not an ordinary script, this was critical medication. The staff, not knowing the importance of the meds nor the time and frustration that had occurred getting to this point - acted with the utmost professionalism, care and follow-thorough - even tho they were buried under end of their end of shift deadlines and work.While most of the CVS pharmacy staff are decent, this service and acumen went above and beyond cleaning up the mishap that was not their doing.”

“People are People sure sometimes the workers can seem unconcerned with the sensativities of most people and thats probubly because people have lives besides their customer service jobs. They are a gas station and one of the cheapest in towns GIVE CREDIT WHERE ITS DUE. “They were actually open the hours they have posted on-line, which is a great start. The clerk was very attentive and guided directly what I needed and I was in and out in minutes. The parking lot at night could use better lighting since tweekers are generally nocturnal and don't like light. Other than the lighting great experience.”
