We’ve been thru many different issues over approximately 20 yrs with both my dogs and cats. I appreciate the staff and Dr V as well, and have nothing but great things to say about them! “This place is a walk in vet. No appointments are taken, you just show up. We've been taking our pups here for years & yes there is always a line, yes they are always busy no matter what day or time we go, but their doctors are awesome, which is why we continue to go here. Taking a star away because the front receptionists aren't nice & they don't respond to my presence right away. (Like they do to everyone else.) I've been next in line ready to go, only to be ignored for phone calls, dusting of keyboards, looking for "things" under the desk until they feel like helping. And when I am being helped, i'm not treated nice. They speak brusquely and there's one woman who coughs constantly without covering her mouth so that's pretty gross. Not sure if she has allergies but she's spreading her whatevers around by doing that to everyone. Just saying. So yeah front staff needs some help. Maybe extra training would do it. Other than that, this place is good.”

“Had to write a review on this place because of their AMAZING customer service. Today was my first day coming back to this clinic since I had another pet euthanized back in 2021. While that experience was heartbreaking the staff then and now has always been very kind and compassionate. To begin with the receptionist was very open and friendly, the vet technician Gabriel was very gentle and kind to my baby. Doctor Galdjian was helpful and honest towards my pet questions. I can confidently say they are in the right career field.”

1. The staff is very friendly. Luis (Louise) is very knowledgeable about pet products and there's something that he doesn't know, he'll make sure to find the right resource for you.

2. They carry a whole variety of pet items - little fun trinkets and a variety of pet foods... their items cost less compared to other pet stores in SCV.

3. If they don't carry the product you need, they will order it for you and they will have it the next day.

“I was looking for an established vet for our little boston terrier, Dumpling. VIP checked all of the boxes and we scheduled a visit. We met with Dr. Roberts and she was absolutely wonderful. My dog got excited when she entered the exam room and Dr Roberts sat on the floor with Dumpling so they can get to know each other. She examined Dumpling for allergy issues and gave us a prescription. The whole staff was so sweet and accommodating! We just took Dumpling back to VIP yesterday to get spayed and met with Dr. Cisneros. He was very nice and did his pre-surgery exam on Dumpling and took her to the back. The staff reassured that they would call me when the surgery was completed and they did! Very professional, very compassionate, clean office and the staff is wonderful!! Couldn't ask for any better!!”

“We saw Dr. Werner for about a year for our dog's environmental allergies. He helped us figure out the best medication for her and always made sure she was getting the best care for her allergies. We tried immunotherapy, atopica, and apoquel. We appreciate that he worked with us to figure out how to best help her with the knowledge we had about her allergies. He and the front desk staff (Cynthia and Bonnie in particular) were always kind and friendly with our girl which made her happy to be there which is no easy feat. Dr. Werner was also the vet that helped us figure out what was going on with our girl when her health declined with what we thought was a hystiocytoma. He was very gentle and careful with her and that truly makes all the difference when your dog is ill. I'm a type A mom so I had ALL the questions and follow up questions and he always answered them. Beyond Dr.Werner's care we always appreciated Bonnie's kindness - in person and on the phone. Once we got a cancer diagnosis, she asked to be kept updated about our girl even though we weren't actively working with Dr. Werner due to the new diagnosis. She spoke with me and gave me guidance and promised to keep dr.Werner updated. She also always made sure to reach out to vets when in need of records which always helped because not all vet offices are always on top of that. She is truly a one of a kind person that went above and beyond and that's not easy to find in veterinary medicine especially since she works the front desk and didn't have to spend that time speaking with me. The only thing I wish had been different was how they informed us that her cytology report was positive for cancer. I got a call on a Monday morning from a man, maybe a lab tech (I believe his name was Chris but I'm not sure - we'd never spoken before) and he just said "the report came back consistent with cancer, dr. Werner suggests contacting an oncologist". Normally for a call about results I'm used to a doctor informing me, not some random guy I've literally never spoken to. It was also heartbreaking news and to have it delivered so straightforward without any consolation (no "I'm sorry" "I know this is hard" etc) was a bit jarring. But I don't want this to reflect on the center as a whole because they were always good to her and truly gave the best care we could hope for with her allergies. Would definitely recommend.”

“Great local vet for rabbits! I bring my bunny here for regular visits and even some not so fun sick visits. They have been incredibly helpful, and kind every time I’ve visited. “The vet techs are sweet, and the doctor is really kind. I’ve had to go to them twice now, once for when my dog was attacked and had to undergo surgery that same day. They were communicative and kind.Then, when my dog had what I thought was an eye infection, they figured out it was a thorn inside of her eye, and helped me to get an appointment with a specialist that same day.”

“Ok people, here is the review you are looking for. This place sometimes gets bashed in the area about being too expensive (maybe) but people you got to think about what you gettin for this price. Your cat does not have to sit in a crowded room with dogs barking and harassing your cat, stressing them out even more. The idea my cat is not getting that added stress is worth the extra bucks. Also they get a bad rap about being un compassionate. Although I have never experienced that, the ones who may have felt that way, may have experienced the transition period of ownership to Dr Linger. So give them another shot. Dr linger is amazing with the animals, as well as all the front and back staff. They especially love when I bring in my street sense in for her routine blood bath battles. Now 16 she is even more fired up, but they love her and look forward to her arrival. Every vet is expensive people, which is a shame for most times our fury friends are always going to take a back seat to their health care. Some advice, get pet insurance it definitely helps with the cost of vet bills and you can take your cat for the best medical treatment in California at The Cat Doctor.”

“Despite as others may comment. I've been taking my pups for the past 13 years here. The staff is wonderful. You can tell they love animals and help as much as possible.Unlike other vets, they explain what is wrong or great about your pet. I'm a 1000 question gal, and they answer every single one as best to their knowledge or they direct me to the main vet.Lucy is one of the main reasons why i continue to take my babies there. She is very knowledgeable and makes sure you get the help you need as soon as possible.I have 2 other vets as backups (we all need back ups) but this one has to be #1.Yes its a little pricy for my personal income but, quality vs quantity.The only thing i wish was if they were open either a little longer during the week or if they were open Saturdays.Other than that keep up the amazing work and thank you for helping us with our babies! ?Max, Cody & Saidey?”
