They always get the job done. I have an old school 350Th transmission that needed some TLC and they made it happen.. they changed the shifter, shafts selector, filler seal and the transmission vacuum... you needs lots of patience with these older cars but they got it right.. I recommend them-- Abelardo the man.. calidad

We took in a Toyota sienna because of the transmission and they fixed it. This is our form of income we use it as a taxi, we were told to give them 1 to 2 days to fix, when we went to pick it up it was not ready because they were short staffed and that they were I'll etc. And we were understanding of the situation and we ended up getting the car back a week latter. We though it would be returned maybe a day later but we lost a 5 days of work because we didn't have a car. Not only did we loose a week of income but 2 months later it broke down . Which brings us to the present, we took it back they said give them a day or 2 I called them yesterday and spoke to Abelardo he said he would have it today and I asked him to make sure it was fixed and that if they were really going to keep the pick up time because of our last experience, Abelardo proceeded saying he would give me my money back and hanging up and blocking my number. It was first of all uncalled for and unprofessional but now it's going to cost time to find a reliable place that treats its customers well and that stands by its work instead of this place.

I called a lot of shops and spent my time looking around LA to get my transmission and engine rebuilt. Very lucky I found this place, honest quality work for a fair price. Manny worked out the timing for the engine machine shop to pick up the engine while the transmission was being done. He checked the rear end gears and changed the cover. Couldn't be happier with the transmission and the fact Manny went out of his way to help me get the engine done at the same time. Nicest guy I've ever dealt with you shouldn't go anywhere else for transmission/gearbox work, big or small.

Abelardo, Jovani, and the crew are awesome. Fair prices and get the job done. I was worried taking my truck for a trani rebuilt as it's been with me for over a decade with no major issues. Truck started having occasional shift slips. I took my truck in before any major problem would occur. Thanks Duarte Transmissions. You guys are the best. Worth my drive to you guys.

Very reliable shop , Mr abelardo it's a very humble person, they are pretty busy so it's hard to get your car accepted. I will make one complaint : their communication it's pretty bad , if something goes wrong with your car they are not going to call you to update you, and you're going to be waiting... I missed my vacations because of that ,they told me my car was going to be ready on a certain day , the day came ,and they didn't call me ,I had to call and find out . ={

This guy is my Transsmission guy!! Hes my go to!! Anything that has to do with transmissions this is the guy!! Seriously he has done my odyssey's vans transmission .. and he has installed my stage 2 clutch on my car .. resurfaced my fly wheel replace bearings .. has also done the water pump and timing on my vehicle love this guy highly recommend and he gives 1 year warranty!!

Duarte's has repaired all four of our Chevy Suburban Transmissions. We have a Limousine Company and our vehicles take a beating. It's worth the trip from Santa Barbara to Duarte to have a reliable company and knowledgeable mechanic get our cars back on the road with a guarantee! Duarte Trashmission shop is a great place if you're looking for a quickie ! As in in quick cheap temporary fix ! My first rebuild at this shop lasted approximately 20 months / 22,000 miles ! Not horrible but certainly not great ! And for the $1,200.00 bill I paid left a whole lot to be desired ! I should've learned the 1st time around but his charismatic persona had me throwing my hard earned money at him and down the oil drain ! I am Angry at Duarte's poor workmanship that has lead to my transmissions short lifespan and has ultimately degraded my very own quality of life and happiness .Still....., I towed it to the shop one more time ! Guess I was looking for closure or something. Well Mr Abelardo saw my truck as it rolled off the tow trucks flatbed and like any opportunistic Alfa predator jumped on top of my carcass of a truck and went In For the kill ! He was apologetic and assured me I was one in a thousand to have such misfortune and asked that I grant him the opportunity to make things right ! Well long story ( short ) lol ! I gave in like a desperate little Christian girl . He promised he'd be gentle , kind and overall cheap . Only charged me for his inferior low performance parts ! Yay !! Shall keep you all posted one mile at a time in hopes that this rebuild last a respectable time !

This business purchased a 1 time use tool from me on eBay, used the tool to complete their job, and returned the tool under false pretenses by manipulating ebays return policy to scam me out of my fair earned money for supplying a tool they used to complete a job. Package was stapled shut in an attempt to show it had not been "opened". We knew it had been opened because we do not package anything with staples. Dishonest, do not trust.

DO NOT BRING YOUR CAR HERE!! My experience was horrible. To start off, my work van was broken into. Abelardo simply left it outside and did not lock it. I wasn't able to pick up the car the day it was repaired, so he simply left it out on the streets unlocked and tried to blame me. He said it was my fault for not picking it up the same day (even though he left the car unlocked). I had to argue with him until he finally agreed to help me with some of the cost of repair. As if that wasn't enough, my transmission started acting up after 20 miles of picking it up. He worked on it for a second time and he claimed that he had repaired it. I trusted him and I took it on the road. The car left me stranded 200 miles away from my home and I had to pay to get it towed which was an additional unnecessary expense. I had to take it to him for a third time and it still was not fixed properly. The transmission had a kick when it shift into 4th gear (it didn't do that before). I got tiered of his lies and Mickey Mouse work so I moved on to another shop. Then, I started speaking to other people that have taken their car there for repair and they have also had negative experiences. Most of them stated that they had to get their transmission repaired as soon as their warranty expired. This is not acceptable !! I do not understand how he is still in business. I would not recommend anyone to bring their car here. He is not reliable!!!
