I've never used this company before, but I needed to get a fuel sending unit for a 1960 Cadillac. I was needing it asap because I was selling the car at an auction. I paid for an expedited rate; however, I got an email that stated they couldn't get it overnight and was bringing it in from another warehouse. I called and confirmed they were trying to get my part in a timely manner and they said they were. After five days passed, I decided to buy another one as I just needed to get the part asap. Cadillac's part came after 10 days which was too late and the other company I bought it from got it to me within 5 days. I asked for a refund and they said they would issue a credit only. But I have no more cadillacs. So my message is don't count on them for overnight and most companies happily refund your money for parts. Just thought I'd put it out there how they treat you. No need to go back.

Was looking to replace my worn hood hinges. They charged me almost $400 for each hinge plus $300 "core" fee. Oh, he said the $300 core fee was refundable once i returned the old hinges. I did return the old hinges, but they conveniently did not refund the $300 core fee. When I called them several weeks later, he pretended that everyone was busy and could not come to the phone. When I asked to be transferred to the accounting department, he pretended that the phone lines were out of order, or as he put it, their wi-fi was not working. When I said that a phone line is a direct line, he danced around and said they would call me back. They never called back and I never got my core fee back. I have three old Cadillacs that need parts, but I will never use Cadillac King for anything else.

I love the availability of the parts but keep getting more order wrong and have me pay to ship their own wrong part back to them to receive mine only to find out it’s the the wrong part again. And then no call back, they transfer your call to this guy and that guy. Sounds like the same guy you just talk to ?

Will not refund core deposit. When you call about core, the will put you on hold and never pick up. They do not respond to emails. I have proof of delivery of core from USPS. This is the second time they have done this. First time it took months to get refund, so I thought maybe it was just an error. I now think it is a standard practice.

My dealings with Tom at Cadillac King have been the best. Yes, when restoring any old car, finding the best, correct part will often take time. An illusive plastic part for the engine compartment on my Cadillac could not be found any where. But after several months of looking Tom and his staff found an almost brand new part. The same is for a tail light lens for the same vehicle. Always a joy to deal with and professional to a fault. Anyone thinking a part (especially a plastic part) for a 20+ year old Cadillac, is collecting dust on a shelf is badly mistaken.

I'm horrified that this terrible shop is still in business. One star is much too high a rating for them! Although I haven't been there for decades, I can see by the other reviews that they haven't changed their stripes. I would have left this critique long ago, but Yelp did not exist when I visited Cadillac King. In 1989 I purchased a mostly restored 1961 Cadillac coupe. This was long before internet sales and one had to buy through catalogs or by going around to parts dealers and junk yards. I had heard about Cadillac King's bad reputation and crazy prices, but I went in one day when I was in the area to check it out for myself. I told the man working there that I had a 1961 and I was just looking around. I saw a 1962 wheel cover on the wall and was curious about the price, as I had recently purchased a few 1961 covers for my car. I had previously found many for sale at multiple shops, and had my pick of the litter for $15 each. Here, I didn't see any 1961s on display, so I asked if he had any for sale. He pointed to a wheel cover on the wall and said it was $100. I immediately recognized that it was NOT a 1961 but rather a 1962 model. Apparently he did not have any 1961s, so he was trying to pawn off his 1962 on me in the hope that I didn't know the difference. So I politely informed him that his was actually from 1962. I even remember the exact words I used because I chose them carefully so as not to provoke or upset him; I had been forewarned that they were nasty. So I said in a mild voice "I'm not sure but isn't that wheel cover from a 1962?" He immediately became so angry that it looked like he was going to take a swing at me from behind the counter. Instead, he actually challenged me to come back at closing time so he could beat me up. Needless to say I never returned to the shop or ever purchased anything from them. In fact, I told all the Cadillac owners I met to avoid Cadillac King like the plague. It was a travesty that for years they were able to snatch up most of the parts and salvage cars in the Los Angeles area, and many people went to them as they had no other way to get a particular part. It's a pity that lightning or some other calamity has not befallen this horrendous enterprise.

This place is an absolute joke. The unprofessional d-bag, Tom I think, who handled "sales" was rude, lacked knowledge, and most of all the ability to sell. I bet he's the life of the party and everyone enjoys his presence. (sarcasm) I told the a-hole the parts I wanted, he had them in stock, overpriced, but i was willing to spend becase I needed the parts quickly, his unpleasant disposition and just clownery put 1k in his competitors pockets. the 3.3 google review is about 3.3 points too high, it all makes sense after I saw the google pic of the store front. You deserve all the negative criticism you're getting clown

Despite being put off by the number of horrific stories, these guys are West Coast (I’m in Seattle) and Tom knew exactly what part I needed. No, it wasn’t cheap but they had it! With that purchase he offered me a coupon for a discount on my next, which I just ordered (and despite the rarity, he again was familiar and had it). He also honored the discount 2 years later! I’ve got a tracking number and am confident I’ll be satisfied again. My only complaint is that I’ve had a couple of long hold-times on the phone. I’ve been promised a core refund and will certainly amend this review if there is an issue, but I don’t expect one given my experience to date.
