“We planned our school community day with 70+ attendees and food from That’s Amore. The kids had a blast! The event was handled so efficiently and expertly. Sandy, our party organizer, was so essential to smooth planning and execution. She kept in close contact during the party. Sandy even made us a decor banner including our logos! WOW! The Little Oceanauts team took care of everything: from bringing materials and and drinks from the car, setting up the party room including decor and presentation materials, and then packing up afterwards. It allowed our party organizers to mingle instead of worry about the logistics. Thank you Little Oceanauts team!”
“We've been here on several occasions throughout the years. We always enjoyed our stay. The location is fantastic and the rooms are comfortable and clean. We always get a first floor garden view room. The ability to open the doors for a nice breeze or to hear the ocean is a nice option. Would not hesitate to book again if we're in the area.Rooms: Elegent and nicely decorated. Fireplace is a nice touch. Very comfortable.Nearby activities: Enjoyed walking the garden, cypress grove and to the nearby beach.Food & drinks: Afternoon tea and cookies is a nice touch. Breakfast never disappoints.”
“Outdoor patio is dog friendly. Staff were nice and responsive but you have to head inside the restaurant upstairs. Great views on the patio and was able to catch the sunset. Wasn’t too busy when we went.”
“If you're a foodie like me, you'll love this place! I highly recommend island chicken wings, spam fries, and my favorite, from the oven and straight to our table, served piping hot, Bibinka Cornbread. Delicious! I had to order twice. Don't miss out on their signature dish, the chicken loco moco, braised short ribs over rice, sisig fried rice, and seafood pan roast. We are frequent travelers to the Island, so we know a little about the dishes we tried. With that said, the combo loco moco stole the show for us. The best part of our meal besides the food, of course, was that it came in hot and we got our meal all at the same time. All the little things go a long way in my book. Of course, we ordered their classic go-to, fried bananas served with ube ice cream for dessert. It tasted like when our Lola (grandmother) used to cook for us growing up. It felt like home. Their service was top-notch considering the time we came, which was almost closing time. Kudos to Carmen! She was attentive and polite. We can't wait to come back. Sorry, we did not take photos; you must take my word or visit Hula Hoops.”
“Genuinely a magical, unparalleled, breathtaking venue. It's hard to articulate how incredible our wedding was at Mavericks House. The staff for starters were some of the most attentive/efficient/detail oriented I've had the pleasure of working with. The food is INCREDIBLE. The staff and day or coordinators are INCREDIBLE. The view and scenery is INCREDIBLE. Please reach out if you have any questions-- I promise you THIS is where you want to get married. They helped give me and my family the most amazing night of our life.”
“My coworkers and I chose this place for a going away and had a great experience. The couple who owns this place are delightful people, and they were so incredibly accommodating and attentive to our large group. The sakes we sampled were all really good, very reasonably priced, and generously poured, all with thorough and informative descriptions by the owners. I found it especially cool to have the opportunity to taste sakes that would usually be unavailable outside of Japan, due to short shelf lives and refrigeration requirements. Highly recommend checking this place out; arrive early to easily grab a table.”
“Great ice cream and plenty of seats to enjoy a nice treat. I came here after my kid was done for school. They have many great options to choose from. The staff is very friendly and allow you to sample many flavors. I picked the loco coco! Amazing! The ube is really good too! Overall great ice cream to enjoy a nice day.”
“Recently I got to photograph a wedding at historic Kohl Mansion.Its stunning features makes it truly stand out. From the Tudor style mansion, to the 40-acres of oak woodland surrounding the property this place is a plus for any wedding and a dream as a photographer. The Staff did a great job at executing the couples vision and making their day seamless. A great venue to work with and from my perspective, a great venue to have your wedding at!”
“We have had a very positive experience at Pomeroy since my son was 2.5 (he is 7 now). What I love about it is how low key and easy it is. We have never had a problem getting spots in classes, the location is straightforward to get to, and there is parking right outside the building. The instructors, especially the long-time ones (Lisa, Mary, David, Robbie) are wonderful (we have yet to experience with the other instructors but I imagine they are great as well). It is a rehab center so there is a wonderful welcoming vibe to everyone of all ages and abilities. I highly recommend Pomeroy! It has been a beautiful experience to watch my son learn to swim.”
“This is a great place. I would like to give it 4.5 stars. The food is very good, nice variety of wines and a decent cocktail menu. This restaurant moved from a smaller location but they did a great job with decor and keeping service standards high. It's a little pricey but a reliable north Italian restaurant for a good meal and sharing with Friends and family”
“Rented the private karaoke room for a birthday party. The food is delicious and staff friendly and helpful. I will go back to try more drinks and have the Tom Yum mac and cheese again.”

“Nice community center except for parking issues. There are gyms on the 1st and 2nd floors. Classrooms are on the 3rd floor. Library is on the 4th floor. Programs offered by the city are high quality, very inexpensive, and you often don't need to be a city resident to participate. Small parking lot behind the building is usually full and you may have to walk a while or feed the parking meter to park on the street. BART is nearby, but that is not useful for city residents trying to get here.”
“Hadn't been to this place in about 5 years, and I had forgotten how good the drinks were. My favorite was the matcha cocktail. I shall return to savor another.As far as the atmosphere goes, it can get very loud, so if you want to chat with someone, you might need a bullhorn.”

“What a great time! My wife and I went on an overcast day on a whim and I am so glad we did! The animals were exciting the enclosures were large and well thought out. It was clean. I felt like my car was safe. Now I understand Zoo's carry a stigma i.e the animals should be free, they are inhumane. My feeling on this is people have a hard time really caring about things they have never experienced. Like the Cathedral Notre Dame. Most Americans had no connection to it so when it was nearly destroyed by fire you didnt see the outpouring of support in America that you did in France. When you get to experience something you feel a connection with it. Just my opinion. It was amazing seeing the penguins all together in their flock. The big cats are always a favorite for me. The Lemur island was so cool. I felt like it was just good clean family fun. Exactly what I needed to reconnect with the planets animals and my beautiful city.”

“This review is for the party after San Francisco's annual St Patrick's Day parade. This is the ideal venue for hosting a party for a gathering as large as one of San Francisco's largest parades. There are indoor and outdoor areas for bands, bars and dining. The corned beef and cabbage dinner was very good and impressive considering the shear number served. There were three stages offering Irish dance performances, bands and a dj. Everyone had a good time and like me many had a great time.”
“Way more fun than I expected! Call ahead to make a reservation so you're not waiting day of. It takes a good amount of time to choose your piece and glazes so maybe think about the color combination ahead of time. I would recommend going for a smaller or more simple option first to get used to the painting and then come back again for a larger piece!”

“This is a cool and trendy place to get wine and drinks. It's kind of a comfortable place that is like a lounge and it is more quiet and cozy then loud. It can accommodate late groups or it is good to go out with friends or on a date. I went with some girl friends and we all got a glass of wine. The ambience here is dimly lit and the service is good.”
“My fiancé and I decided to have our wedding reception here at the Oceano. Its beautiful, the food was great and the staff was so exceptionally friendly. BUT - one person absolutely made everything possible. That person is Nancy. She deserves the Nobel Prize for wedding planning. I'm a nervous person who gets overwhelmed by planning big events. I don't know what I don't know. Luckily Nancy was there to guide us both through the entire process. I really can't say enough wonderful things about her and her coworkers. I'd wake up in the middle of the night thinking "OMG, did we get tablecloths?!" No problem. Nancy already had it under control. Got a question? Nancy has the answer and already knows the DJ/photographer/cake baker and more. Without her, I would have been a total mess. She made us both feel like we were in VERY capable hands and everything was going to be ok. AND the best part is that it was ok! The reception went down without a single snafu! After our first meeting, we both walked out feeling like a huge weight had been lifted off our chest. You will too.”

“We came to the South San Francisco Event Center for my brother’s graduation party after looking at a few other venues. We met with Judy who instantly understood our needs and vision for our event. She was extremely welcoming and understanding from the beginning. Throughout the event process and party itself, Judy was easily accessible for communication, immediately answered any questions we had and jumped to fix any issues we had within minutes of notification. The staff at the event center were also extremely helpful, supportive and friendly which only allowed our party to continue smoother. We are incredibly grateful to Judy and her staff for providing us a stress free and easy process and allowing us to create such a memorable event. There is no one we recommend more highly enough for your events!”
