I’m on a road trip. Have a brand new spare tire losing air. They charged me 65 dollars to change a valve stem and remount the tire on the rim, not even on the car. Most I’ve ever paid for that is $10. No they did not balance the tire. No they did not install it on the car. They never even walked out to the car. Just fixed my leaking spare I rolled in. $65 plus tax and he didnt want to tell me the price until I asked, he hoped I’d hand over the card without asking. The man saw I was in a hurry and from out of town so he milked the situation. He assumes everyone is clueless about tires. Older white dude. God forbid I was a woman walking in there. As a mechanic myself people like this give us all a bad name.If you’ve ever been here and felt like you were milked, you probably were.

Beware—they overcharge a lot and poor communication towards woman.I went here because they were the closest in proximity. Due to overcharges and poor communication, it’ll be worth taking business farther—I’ve checked with the locals and expert car friends on this. Robert’s and anywhere in SF will charge you $175+ less, respectfully.

I’d highly recommend this shop. They have great customer service. Had an issue with my tire and they took in my car last minute and had it fixed out the door in 10 minutes even when they were fully booked up and busy

It is not often at the vanguard of our consciences but each time you take your car in for servicing, you have a natural expectation that the person(s) you entrust your vehicle to has a level of integrity, and will use their expertise to resolve Such is not the case with Seaview Tire in Pacifica. Several months ago I purchased three new tires from Bill, the owner of this establishment. I was told that it came with free tire rotation every 5,000 miles. So when that time came, I scheduled an appointment for my free tire rotation. Yea, free my a$$. As I was waiting in the waiting area, he proudly rolled one of my tires in to show me that I had a nail in it.As someone schooled in forensic science and criminal justice, it took all but a cursory glance to notice that the nail head carried no wear on it from driving - it looked freshly planted. His assistant came in with a big smile on his face letting me know that my car was ready and that I just had to pay for the nail patch. Shame and me for not asking up front what the cost would be to repair a nail patch (that wasn't there before.) Bill, the owner, presented me with a bill of $57.50. I knew something was off, he couldn't even look me in the eye. I was burning with fury but had to hold it back. As a black woman living in a racist society like the US, any outburst on my part would label me "an angry black woman" could, and would probably land me in jail... which would cause me to declare World War III on the US but I digress. I have been spreading the word - inevitably telling everyone to avoid this place. Two days ago, someone reminded me not to fret over the $57.50 that he 'stole' from me but rather look at it as payment to receive good karma, which would only mean that Bill and his assistant would be at the receiving end of some extremely bad karma. When you do bad things to people you enslave yourself in the evil that you disperse to others. And even as I type this, I issue a wry smile at what's to come.To Bill and his assistant at Seaview Tires, your machinations have tallied to your pending end.

I needed to patch a brand new 2023 bmw x5 rear tire after driving over a nail and was fortunate to be referred to Seaview who has the equipment and expertise to help. If you have any tire needs, feel confident that they can help you. Great family run business and def top of my list for any tire needs.

Bill and his staff do an excellent job! They're friendly and thorough. When you get tires there they check them monthly. It's also great to support a local, small business. I definitely recommend!

I went here for its good reputation and positive yelp reviews. I have been walking by this place for years and finally took an opportunity to try them and asked for a quote for 2 new tires. It was $470.00. I thought it high since i just bought a new identical one for $188 at another place. After a bit he said come back at 9 tomorrow and the tires will be here. OK. 2-3 hours later I called to cancel mY appt as i found a place nearby to do the same job same tires for a better price more than 100 less. He said what ? I ordered them already and its been processed. Note he didn't ask me for any upfront fee or down payment so i suggested he cancel the order since its only noonish maybe you can cancel, return or refuse them. He said '3x at least he'll have a restocking fee while never asking me to pay it. He was like a paternal condescending a** while telling me how hard he worked for me - as if i owed him! I suggested its the cost of doing business and was at a loss for any words but im sorry. He then hung up the phone on me without a word of goodbye. Not such a 'nice' guy in the neighbourhood if you ask me.

Really wanted to like this place, and they are absolutely capable of doing good work, but they seriously lack integrity. Brought in my Ford E-350 Powerstroke for some front end work. When they were done, it was REALLY hard to turn the steering wheel, like I had no power steering. They said it would loosen up over time, as they had adjusted and replaced parts in the steering box. Over the next month it did not loosen up at all, but started binding up and making crunching noises in the steering column. Brought it back, and within seconds of explaining the issue, the owner Bill said “nothing to do with us” and walked away.I then brought it to a Ford dealership mechanic, and he said they likely broke some bearings in the steering column when doing their work. They also told me it is not normal at all for the wheel to be hard to turn or binding up. It should “turn easily with two fingers, and never be difficult to turn no matter what was replaced”Went back to Bill at Seaside tire and he went right back to talking over me “uh uh, nope, not us” I asked why was it hard to steer and freezing up immediately after he did his work. He replied “coincidence” seemingly forgetting that he had previously said it would loosen up over time. Made a second attempt to resolve a few weeks later, Bill said “anything in the steering column is not us, but bring it in and we’ll look” I asked “why bring it in if you’re denying responsibility right off the bat?” He said I’ll call you right back, and never did.Three times I tried to resolve this issue with him. Every time he said he didn’t remember talking to me about it, and denied responsibility, acting like I was a nuisance for questioning him.

I really wanted to like this place, and they are absolutely capable of doing good work...the only problem is when they screw up, they just dodge, fast talk, and ignore. I brought in my E350 Powerstroke that had a little too much play in the steering. Bill (the owner) charged me over $2500 to rebuild the steering box and tighten things up. When I got it back, the play was 100% gone, but...the steering was so tight it took two hands to steer, like it had no power steering. It also would not straighten out when turning without using some force. I called Bill and asked what was going on, he said, "give it some time, it will loosen up" I gave it two weeks, and it did not loosen up, it got worse and started making grinding noises and dangerously binding up while driving. I brought it back to Seaview tire, spoke to Bill, who would only cut me off repeating "not us, nothing we did could do that" After that I brought it to a ford dealership mechanic who explained that he likely impacted the upper steering bearings while working on the steering box, and that the steering should NEVER be hard to turn or bind in any circumstance. "You should be able to turn the wheel with two fingers" Again, I went back to Seaview to talk to Bill, he said "not us, just a coincidence it went out while we had it" He offered to look at it after repeatedly saying it had nothing to do with his work. I asked when I could bring it in, he said I'll call you in a few minutes...never did. Called back, " I'll call you in an hour" never did. Finally I got pissed and demanded he deal with this, and he denied ever talking to me about the problem. Now maybe he has memory issues, but still, he just kept beating around the bush, "call me tomorrow I'll make you an appointment"...etc, etc So, nothing left to do but leave a bad review, file a report with the Bureau of Automotive Repair, and find a more honest mechanic.

Got a nail on my rear tire. I went to another place, " fixed it" spent money just to find out my tire was flat again. Came to Seaview Tire & Break center, a completely different experience. Bill took the time to explain everything that I needed to know with great detail and even though my tire was not repairable. They were able to order the type of tires I currently have, later in afternoon and I got them replaced early in the morning the next day. An outstanding customer service. Happy to make business with them. Professional, and friendly.
