Ok experience, some staff is better then others, u can tell who wants to help u, and the ones that are having a "bad" day. gets busy, good prices online other wise it's pricey when reg priced

I've always come here after hikes because
it's convenient although prices are quite expensive but what do you expect it's California.Today I tried to approach an employee for help just to check where's the rice , so I said excuse me , she never answered so I thought she did not hear me , so I said again excuse me .. then she said Can you just at least let me stand ? ..I'm just like in my mind omg how rude is this lady what is the connection of a plain acknowledgement of just saying yes may I help you vs. Rudeness ? So I just proceeded to getting my rice & did not engaged to her rudeness. If you work in places like Safeway lady you got to learn how to be more hospitable , not hostile . She is middle age long hair & a little loud. I hope Safeway will at least retrain their employees on customer service effective communication.

Not a happy place to shop..The only one who helped her name is Susan...I will be doing my shopping at the Gillard store..Hate going over the hill but don't need negative when I'm paying my hard earned money...

Produce is good quality. Bit of a wait for service at deli counter. No line at checkout. Update: prices of produce are up over the last year. Update: prices up a bit more.

It worked well for us while visiting the area for a few days. Lots of fresh food options and if you shop the sales, reasonably priced.
