I am so glad that I came across this salon and met Kim! I have been using all types of hair products in hopes of bringing out my curls, but nothing seemed to work. My hair is naturally curly, and I never know how to style it. Kim gave me so many tips and showed me how to style and care for my hair. She is amazing! Kim also adheres to all COVID-19 protocols, and I felt very safe the entire time I was at the salon. I 100% recommend this salon and Kim!

Attention to customer safety during this pandemic was outstanding. My hairdresser retired and I needed someone new. Beverly is patient and gave me an outstanding haircut. She even tried a Deva curl style with me even though my hair wasn't quite curly enough. I will definitely be going back! Thank you Beverly!

I just got my deva cut curl by Kim. She took her time to explain the steps and what to do with my hair when styling. My hair looks more alive now and gave me the cut I was looking for.

I have spent years and years over straightening and curling my hair with straighteners and curling wands. I have 3A type curls and in recent years, I have tried to teach myself how to maintain and care for them. I used so many different products and techniques but my curls were either weighed down with too much product, greasy looking, or frizzy. I recently had an appointment with Kim for a Deva cut and let me tell you...IT WAS AMAZING! My cousin recommended that I make an appointment with Kim for a Deva cut, as her daughter also has curly hair. Kim provided me with such great knowledge on how to properly care for my curls. She also gave me great tips on how to define my curls without the frizz. Kim is awesome. The cut was very affordable and the products smell soooo good! Parking is easy to find, the salon is beautiful and well kept, and you are right by the beach. What else could you ask for?

Took my 4 year old daughter to get her first ever deva cut. Kim was her stylist and she was exceptional. She did an amazing job on my daughters hair. She gave us tips on how to wash and style her hair. Even gave us some clips to use so I didn't have to buy some on my own. I will def be back to bring my daughter back and even recommended her to family and friends. Price was great for this cut.

Ladies, if you enjoy having long hair, refrain from this place at any and all cost. As someone with very long, moderately curly hair, I was recommended to see Beverly to try a Devacut to have a haircut that highlights my curls. From the beginning of the consultation though, I made sure to emphasize how important length is to me. So I didn't get a Devacut, per say, but I still wanted to explore wearing my hair in a curlier style. I acknowledged that a longer length means I wou

My daughter is a curly girl. She inherited her tendency toward ringlets from her father, whose hair coils into springs between haircuts. I think it was 4th or 5th grade when my kid started actually caring about what her hair looked like. For the next few years she had recurring phases during which she'd be obsessed with the flat iron. There were some dark and unpleasant mornings in our home during those times. Something changed when she hit high school last year. I noticed that she was becoming increasingly interested in her heritage and what she got from her father's side versus what she got from mine. As part of maturing and becoming her own person, she was gaining pride in who she is and what she came from. Perhaps not coincidentally, she stopped fighting her curls and began embracing them. Who knew hair could be so deep? She recently discovered Deva products, which are formulated for curly hair. After making me drop over $100 on various Deva potions and developing her own very specific curl care routine, she wanted to take the next step and get a Deva cut. A Deva cut is a very organic way to shape curly hair. It's done dry, with the curls moved and tousled and cut individually. My kid was hoping that this cut could release more spirals in her hair. We made an appointment at Reflections with Beverly, who is certified to do Deva cuts. She issued explicit advance instructions that my daughter was to style her hair that morning the way she normally would, and keep it loose all day (no pony tails, no buns). When my kid and I walked into the salon, we looked at each other like, WOW. This place is sweet! Lovely and feminine, with plants and flowers, seasonal decor, and big, comfy damask sofas with throw pillows. They've done a nice job of creating a relaxing ambiance. There's a sense that you're about to be pampered. Our time with Beverly was an education. She spent time asking questions and analyzing my daughter's hair, then explained what she was doing each step of the cut. With the cut complete, Beverly took my daughter to the shampoo bay and from there she meticulously demonstrated washing, drying, and styling techniques to extract maximum curls from her new do. Beverly didn't just style her...she taught her how to style herself. It was truly a process. The best part was when we walked out of the salon and my kid tossed her head around to make her newly-enhanced curls bounce. She was so happy. Five stars!

I have never had a more pleasant experience at a salon. As a person with curly hair, I've had my fair share of bad hair cuts. I searched for a salon and this was the only one with pictures of clients with curly hair. Booking over the phone was prompt and Beverly was very nice and professional. I was looking for the earliest appointment and she got me the time slot I was looking for. I came in early and met Kim who got started on my appointment immediately. Kim never took off more hair than I was comfortable with and was willing to go back and take off more if I liked. While blow drying and styling my hair she even educated me on how to achieve my desired curls at home. Needless to say I will definitely be back. I am very excited to have found a great stylist and a salon I feel comfortable at.

Beverly, the curl miracle worker! I could not be happier with the end result. I have naturally curly hair but did the Japanese hair straightening for several years. In November 2016, I decided it was time for a change and wanted to grow my curls out. Fast forward a year and half later after a lot of patience and horrible horrendous hair days, I finally found out about the Deva Cut and the process to beautiful natural curls. Beverly was my 3rd and final consult. She made feel comfortable with my final decision on how much I really needed to cut my hair. She is super friendly and her salon is clean and beautiful! Made an appointment for that weekend. Got there, and she did her thing, all while guiding me through each step that she was making and educating me through the process so that I can maintain my hair in between appointments. I LOVE my hair and so happy I was able to find someone that can help me embrace them once again. See you in July. Beverly, thank you so much! My husband loved it too!!

3a/3b Curly Girl here, been doing the Deva method for 15+ years and have always had to go back to NY to get my hair cut until the last few years. Beverly is a Deva method trained stylist and she's very good at it. So good that my friends with curls and kids with curls are going to Beverly. If you don't know the Deva method it's a dry cut with a style and touch up at the end to make sure your hair is cut and styled the way it'll be on a daily basis. Wet curls are not the same as dry curls - and we've all had a wet cut that made us cry, pissed off, and hide our hair for months until it kind of grew out. No more of that! Trust Beverly to do a curl friendly and flattering cut. What's more - the price is right!
