We went at 1pm on a weekday and I was surprised at how many people there were, the 2pm group appeared to be much smaller. Cool little spot, you should check it out.”

“Discovering Maxwell's Pet Bar about a year ago has been a game-changer for our 12-year-old dog, Simon. Thanks to Jen and Kristi's expert guidance, we found the perfect raw food combination that has literally turned back the clock for him. He's more playful, enjoys his walks more, and overall, seems much younger. The transformation has been incredible to witness. I can't recommend Maxwell's Pet Bar enough. “Huge selection of pet stuff, it’s like a small warehouse type store ie. Smart&Final. They even had a really well curated selection of products for exotic pets (reptiles, rodents, aquarium, and birds), more selection than what your typical Petco might sell. They always have coupons and prices are lower than other stores in the area in my experience. One of the ladies who is a cashier is so nice and always makes sure to apply any coupons she knows about and make conversation with you. ☺️”

“Pet food express is my go-to shop for premium quality dog food. A large selection of toys is available for cats and dogs. There's also wash stations for those who are not able to wash at home. A shout out to all of the staff who are always helpful, kind, and knowledgeable. Forget about Petco or Petsmart when you are shopping for quality goods for your pets. This place came highly recommended to me and I am now a frequent shopper!”

“Lovely neighborhood pet care/food/need store that I think (?) is family owned and run. Whatever. It's just nice to get away from the chains and feel connected to where my money is going. And I think it's going to the neighborhood and the greater good. Well stocked store and they will order something if you need and cannot find it. In the well supplies shelves. Chickens? Rabbits? Cats? And of course, dogs! Just ask! Puppy socials and training classes are offered in house too, for you new parents. And frankly just stop buy to check It out. The store has this log cabin Mendocino vibe. Little hippie-dippie! But lovingly so. Small business at its best.”

“Shipyard K9 has been our go to spot for dog supplies and care in the heart of 24th & Mission for close to a year. The staff is super friendly and they've been so attentive in making sure we get the snacks, toys, or services for our pup.We come here pretty regularly for grooming services as well and they have a great self service wash station! Our (sometimes stinky) pup always leaves the shop looking and smelling extra fresh.Highly recommend for any local pet owners in the Mission District and beyond!”

“I miss West Pawtal SO MUCH! It used to be our go-to pet food and supply shop when we lived in the area until a couple months ago, when we moved up north. Tina is SO informed/educated on the products they carry in the store, she shows wonderful customer care/service (still texts me to wish me happy holidays), although they're a small business in the middle of San Francisco their prices are reasonable, and they carry SO MUCH product for the size of the shop! Wonderful place”

“We cannot say enough about how much we absolutely LOVE SFRAW! Kasie, owner/operator gives consultations for folks wanting to start raw feeding. We raw feed our cats as well as our two Autism Service dogs. SFRAW only purchases meat, bone & offal from small sustainable farms that actually visits herself! It's important for her to know that these animals live a good life. SFRAW taught us that we can heal through food. SFRAW has fully trained staff that answer any & all questions! One can clearly see the how much her staff truly love & believe in raw feeding. Our precious furry family members are only fed the absolute best! We fully believe in along with a raw fed diet and the homeopathic remedies Kasie makes herself. Kasie's protocols made the difference in our boxer's healing from cancer removal surgery. The Vets even learned about homeopathic medicine and now implements on the many animals they service!”

The employees were really helpful and answered all of our questions about their Pendleton dog beds. They didn't have it in extra large but assured us they could order it.”

“I recently visited Critter Fritters and was blown away by their excellent service and knowledgeable staff. Tony, in particular, was incredibly helpful in answering all of my questions and providing me with the right product for my mother's dog as I am not a pet owner myself.What really impressed me was their stock of motion sickness medication. My mom's dog has a history of getting sick during car rides, and it's always been a struggle to find the right solution so that Mollie can visit my daughters. “My "Go-To" for basic pet needsand usually there are helpful and nice associates/employees. Or in my experience each of my visits have them. I usually already know what I want/need and where in the store but the employees usually ask if I do need help and each time I respectfully decline. But it is nice that it is available.Convenient Locationaway from the city and major roads. Avoiding traffic when one needs necessities fast. Only down side is the parking during the day its either mostly full or when you do find a spot it could be far away from this store, not their fault though.I really hope this place stays open and in business. So far I believe the manager is taking good care of the store. Keep it up!”

“We spent a huge part of the day at PetSmart in Daly City, learning about this baby chameleon we proceeded to purchase thanks to Tony! Tony was amazing at educating us on our little chameleon and let us hold it before we decided to buy this little fella. Tony then helped us shop for a Chameleon Kit which included Open air black aluminum screen cage, Flexible hanging vine, Natural bush, Eco-carpet, Reptisafe water conditioner, Tropical UVB & Heat Lighting Kit, Digital Thermometer, Repti Calcium, and Reptivite reptile vitamins. We also purchased ReptiBark and substrate, a separate UVB lamp and a week's worth of crickets for this little dude to munch on. Tony was awesome and made our experience at PetSmart well worth spending a huge portion of our Sunday at. Now we have our baby chameleon, Pascal, and we are beyond happy!”
