Good beach for a long walk end to end on the beach, has great views and also a coastal trail near by for Pacific Ocean views. It’s a dog friendly beach which is the best part if you have a dog that likes playing around without the leash in some parts of the beach. Kid friendly too. There are showers and decent size parking lot. It’s a lil dirty and not maintained well.

Great beach for surfing and body boarding. We appreciate the bathroom and the outdoor shower facilities. Dog friendly, too.

I always love this place. It's close enough for me to come visit when it's nice out. Sometimes, you get a few weirdos who think they own the beach or someone that had 1 to many. This is a very dog friendly beach, so if sparky isn't too friendly, probably best to leave them at home. Unless you are training them, then totally fine. Good brewery, coffee shop, taco bell cantina, and a few other places within close proximity to the beach. So if you forget something, you can likely get it within 10 minutes. It is paid parking most days in the main parking lot. The payment area is near the showers, which you will need to walk the receipt back to your car to place it in. There are free spots near, but you'll need to look for them.

Spending my Friday morning/afternoon on the beach for some sun, sand, and sea on a well deserved day off. :)Pacifica State Beach is located in the city of Pacifica, a seaside city south of SF. It's located right off Highway 1.I arrived a little before 10:30am. Parking spots were plentiful. I backed into a spot in front of the brightly colored bathrooms with a pay machine in front. I paid the $7 (4 hours), placed the ticket on my dash, and was off!At the time the beach was fairly quiet, a lot of room to place my beach towel bag, water, and fruit. There were already quite a few surfers in the distance. The waves were nice to look at! The temperature was perfectly warm before it hit noon, and the views of the hills and houses in the distance with fog was very picturesque!I spent a good 2 hours l relaxing, taking in the air, sand in my toes, and cold water against my legs before leaving. By then, the beach got crowded and parking was packed. I picked a perfect time to enjoy the beach almost all to myself! :)I definitely will come back to Pacifica State Beach!! I miss it already!!

Really awesome beach! Would give 5 stars but it’s right next to the highway which is a bit busy and also doesn’t have a cute boardwalk or anything or far enough away from a town that it’s chill. Regardless, it wasn’t too busy and had some nice views still, many families and some dogs. Not a super long beach, and some rocks at the southern corner. Many many surfers out on the waves which was cool!

Parking can be a bear at times. It's a great view during the less foggy days. Great for relaxing and taking in the atmosphere.Several shops and eateries are nearby within walking distance.Public restrooms are available. If you're looking for smoother sand with fewer crowds, a short drive south may be a better option.

Pacifica State Beach aka Linda Mar beach is a lovely setting for picnics, events, or just a quick getaway along the water, even on a foggy day. Big waves call for thrill-seeking surfers, and there was no shortage of them this past Saturday morning (both humans and canines). This was my second year attending the annual World Dog Surfing Championships, and it was the expected crowds and dog loving community, nothing less. The parking lot is small (and unavailable during special events), and there are public restrooms on site for convenience. Shops and eateries are within walking distance, mainly chains like Starbucks and Safeway, the only one actually located on the beach being Taco Bell Cantina, serving boozy beverages and more. Pacifica State Beach is not the most picturesque beach out there, and sometimes it gets a little too crowded for comfort, but there's still a lot to love about this place.

Pacifica State Beach is beautiful and not too far from San Francisco. Especially from Daily City. The beach is very crowded on weekends with very limited parking available. So you better come early on the weekend. I enjoyed seeing the ocean and the beaches. Pacifica State Beach offers both plus hiking, camping, shopping, and dining with many choices, including the most famous Taco Bell next to the beach!

Perfect place for the world dog surfing competition. Public lot and public bathrooms. There is a Taco Bell on the beach. Clean beach, little seaweed, upper beach is scattered with rocks. This is the perfect place for boogie boarding and learning to surfing.

Walked on Devils Slide road and admired the view. Took a little over an hour to walk from end to the other ans back. There were signs along the way that described what was around you, along with some history. Lots of hawks and bird varieties. Old WW1 (ww2?) artillery. The view was incredible! Don't get off the road, though. Lots of poison oak! Also, there were 2 break ins with the parking lot. No cameras. Officer said it happens there all the time, so maybe set up a go-pro and catch them if you happen to walk it.

Beautiful and scenic beach in the heavenly Pacifica. It has restrooms and offers 4 hours parking for $7. It also has cleaning stations with fresh water. Weekends are crazy busy as parking becomes impossible.

Nice beach, lots of surfers and people in the water. The parking lot is paid and can get full, but we circled around and managed to get a spot from someone leaving. Dogs are allowed on leashes, and there were lots of people walking their dogs on the beach. It can get really windy, and can be cold if the fog/clouds cover the sun so bringing a light jacket is a good idea. Also, the popular Taco Bell Cantina is here, and has a great view of the ocean and beach, and they allow dogs on the outside patio seating.

Beach of ConfidencePacifica State Beach, colloquially known as Linda Mar (Spanish for "Beautiful Beach") by locals, is a 0.75-mile crescent moon-shaped beach that runs between the Pedro Point Headlands and Aramai Point. And, unlike most State Beaches, Linda Mar is actually run by the City of Pacifica and *not* the State of California (this is important to note for later).I actually used to live less than a mile walking distance from Linda Mar for about five years and would frequent it very regularly, so I have a realistic point of comparison. However, it has been nearly seven years since I've moved away, and I know a lot can change in that amount of time. The Good:*Dog-friendly*Three separate parking lots: the two main ones on either side of the Taco Bell, and there's also parking at the Pacifica Community Center across the street.*Weather is always nice and cool even when it's hot inland.*Nice AC paved trail for walking that can take you as far south to Pedro Pt and Devil's Slide, and as far north as Mori Point and the Pacifica Pier.*Taco Bell located between parking lots "A" & "B" so you don't really need to even remember to bring food.*Surfing conditions are good for novices and people*Restrooms & outdoor sand showers (normally) availableThe Meh: *They now charge for parking which used to be free; I actually think this is kind of a good thing because it usually detracts from the nogoodniks but it kinda didn't work, as there was still plenty of scumbags around.*The main beach area where most beachgoers hang is a total pigsty, with tons of garbage, dead birds, feathers, and firework remnants. I understand people are pigs, but it doesn't seem as though the city has kept up with it for a while now.The Ugly:*The restrooms in lot "A" are broken (upgrade?), which is whatever life happens, but the port-o-potties they have in their stead are an abomination. The doody is stacked so high that if you sat down, you'd leave quite an impression--if you follow what I'm saying. There was also no TP in any of the toilets. I mean, if you're gonna charge people money to park, the least the city could do is make sure the restrooms are cleaned and stocked on a daily basis. This was at 9 a.m., mind you. So, it's not like we arrived at sunset. *Parking situation is quite a pig-fuck, to put it lightly, and the biggest reason is these surf school(s) have completely taken over the beach and the parking spots to boot. At one point, I'd say 60% of beachgoers were surfers, and this parking crisis spreads to the nearby businesses. This is definitely one of those things that changed after I left; I do recall some surfers and surfing schools, but nothing quite to this extent. TLDR: Nice beach, but maybe only during a weekday or the offseason. Avoid during the summer and especially during heatwaves.
