Just wanted to give a shout out to Natalie at Pacifica Pet Hospital. She was amazing today! First time meeting her and she was so upbeat and kind. She seems genuinely excited to meet my dog and expressed his glands. Amazing customer service skills. She literally made my day and snuggled on my dog before we left. when someone is amazing at their job it shows. Thank you Natalie! I've also know Dr. Choi for at least 20 years. He has always given me honest pet advice and great care. I trust him with my current senior dog's health and wellbeing.

Had a great experience here- from reception to techs to Dr. Choi, all where kind and attentive! We came to this office after a terrible experience at SF SPCA where they were dismissive and unhelpful. I was able to get an immediate appointment at Pacifica Pet Hospital and the fee for teeth cleaning was HALF what SPCA was asking. And they threw in a free ear cleaning :)

expensive, busy, incompetent they charged us 600 for a scan we didn't ask for. it takes months to get an appointment. now we get a text saying our dog is overdue for rabies when he was supposed to get his shots with them a month ago. I don't know if it's a mistake but it's characteristic of this place

I won't recommend this place, the stuff are shady they always find a way ti charge more than they suppose to. Scheduling is impossible, over charge for late fees.

Great first visit. Dr. was very personal and didnt try to sell extra services to make you feel like a "good pet owner".

This place has changed and by that I mean they've gone downhill. I've been coming here for nearly two decades, and the only thing that's been consistent is how nice the front staff are and that's it. Lately, the vets price gouge you for everything. If I need one treatment, now they're pushing products, vaccines, and medications that ultimately don't work. If they see you're distressed about your pet, they see a window of opportunity attached to dollar signs and it's disgusting. I get that it's a business, but it's in animal medicine, and I'm not going to allow them to use my pet as a profit margin. Most of the time they're playing a guessing game to see what works. The best vet there was Dr. Randle, and he recently left. He was more on the conservative side and now I understand why he left. The previous owner was also good, but I can't remember his name. Dr.Choi, who also happens to be the new owner, is very nice and charismatic. He uses this to his advantage because it's hard to say no to the vet that is "so nice" right?! Wrong! I can guarantee you won't leave without paying at least $200-$300 and he has never been able to effectively treat my dog. When I inquired about it, he told me there was a good chance the treatment wouldn't work and that's something he should've told me initially. What he did isn't considered informing a "patient" of all their options. Dr. Trife is the worst one of them all. She has zero bedside manner, rude and condescending. I would rather go to an ER and pay their markup than allow her to see my pet. The bottom line is the pandemic has impacted the integrity of people. There's been a shift and it's evident in veterinary medicine in general. How do I know this?! Aside from my experiences, twice I had to call animal poison control because my dog ingested chocolate. My vet, or any other emergency vet in the Bay Area wouldn't see my dog unless I called animal poison control first. You have to pay $75 to talk to a specialist to determine if the quantity ingested was lethal enough to bring into a vet's office or emergency. After the consultation, they would issue me a case number and with that number, I can now see a vet. This is insane! The physician and the intake "nurse" at Animal Poison Control told me they didn't know why they've been getting an increase in calls, but they said all of them were coming from California and they're not having this issue with any other state. No one thinks this is an issue?! Invest in books on how to treat your dog at home for minor things. Start with an Animal Desk Reference and familiarize and pay attention to your cat/dog's behavior from chronic or previous visits like an ear infection. I'm not a vet, but I've saved so much money doing this. You'll thank me later.

No availability and they don't seem very enthusiastic about having new client. Hours are limited. Can't do same day for urgent needs.

This place has very poor customer service and their main priority is making money off your beloved pets. Every time we've taken our dogs here it's been a long, costly process to diagnose what is wrong without an actual solution. They will order test after test for the upsell without any rhyme or reason. The last straw was a dental cleaning. Dr. Choi insisted we have this procedure done even after our short nosed 11 year old dog almost died due to anesthesia. He then promised "light anesthesia". We made appointments to go and he assured us he would be there to aide our worries at drop off. We showed up twice and Dr. Choi is nowhere to be found both times. The receptionist said he wasn't arriving for another hour. We didn't feel comfortable leaving our senior dog for such a procedure without talking with him first, so we left. The receptionist assured us we wouldn't be charged yet we were charged $162 for nothing. The customer service person on the phone threatened us with collections if we didn't pay immediately. She even said Dr. Choi himself insisted on charging us. This Dr. is egotistical and short. He's in it for the money and truly doesn't care about the well-being of pets.

This place is great ! The doctors take time to explain (in detail) your fur-babies issues and ALL your options. Great with answering questions.
