My kids have been going to Sandy Days for years, and loving every minute of it! From the earliest age (4.5 years) up to now, when my daughter is old enough to be a CIT, they have loved their camp family – not just the kids, but the counselors too. A+++ camp

My two boys have been going to Sandy Days Kids Camp for the past 2 summers. The counselors are so sweet and fun. My boys stay active all day at the beach with different types of activities which make it so much fun for them. Highly recommend.

Our kids always have a great week at Sandy Days!! We've been sending our kids there for almost a decade... we have so many rash guards. Sina Summer break would be incomplete for my son without at least a week at Sandy Days.

Simply the best camp ever. It’s the only camp my kids ask to go back to year after year. It’s so well run, the counselors are great and, most importantly, the kids have fun! Sina is a wonderful person and I know my kids are safe at Sandy Days. Highly recommend!

Signed up for the Sandy Days camp based on recommendations from few people that attended it throughout the years with children ages 8 and up. Read Yelp reviews and felt comfortable sending my daughter there.Dropped my 5 year old on Monday at 9 am. Went for a run at the beach for 30 minutes. On the way back stopped by the camp site. My daughter was sliding on the board down the sand dunes towards the ocean. There were no adults close to her, no-one was keeping an eye on her. The other kids from her age group (4-5 year olds)were doing crafts with counselors under umbrellas. I came up to one of the counselors(the lady in her 30s or early 40s) and brought up my concerns. She said that there is usually someone by the ocean watching kids but she does not know where that person is. My daughter could've just walked away and no one would notice. I stayed for another 10 minutes keeping an eye on her until she went back to do crafts with other kids under the tents. Decided to come back and check on her couple of hours later.I witnessed male counselor who looked like he can be 15 years old leading kids from the bathroom back to the camp. The walk is about 5 minutes from camp to public restrooms. He was in the front and all the kids were following him. There were bikes, skateboarders and runners that are going super fast inches away from the kids. The counselor was only in the front, so if any of the kids ran away or got hit by the bike, there was no-one would prevent it. There should be someone in the front and at the end to make sure the kids are always visible for this age group. Obviously we never came back. This type of Camp with lack of supervision for little children is definitely not for our family. Spoke to owner Sina two days after this happened. No refund or apology was offered. He almost sounded like i was making stuff up! He said things like this never happen in his camp.Well, my advice for concerned parents. And that probably only applies to the little ones (ages 4-6). Just show up there randomly and see for yourself. I really hope that this review will have the owner implement better policies in the camp and watch little ones more closely.

Sandy Days is the best camp ever! We started with one week and my granddaughter is now in her 4th week there! The counselors are focused, fun, and keep the kids busy and happy! The kids are allowed to choose their own activities each day--nature hikes, art, swim activities. When the day is over, a counselor personally walks the child up to their parent.

Amazing summer camp!!We needed “childcare” while school was closed and enrolled our 4 yo in Sandy Days. It was 9-3:30 even for 4 year olds. I went in with little expectations and it blew me away. She came home so tired and so happy every day. The counselors do a great job of keeping the kids busy and loaded with sun screen. They did age appropriate activities. Highly recommend. We’ll for sure be back next year!

This is my son's FAVORITE camp of all time! He has been a Sandy Days camper for several summers and is excited to return again. We appreciate that there are plenty of organized activities to join but also ample opportunity for unstructured, free play with old and new friends! Sina, the owner, along with all of the counselors have been great with him and I trust he is in good hands. I love seeing him at pick covered in sand from head to toe and grinning hugely from ear to ear. It's the best :)

This is way overdue... this camp is magic. I have a 6 year old and a 4 year old (they were definitely on the younger end... this camp is geared to kids up to 12 ish) we were supposed to be gone all summer but due to several factors we had to scrap that and stay home. My kids were so bummed to be home... but Sandy days saved the day. We have done the Jonathan club camp and bel air bay club camp NOTHING compares fo Sandy days for them. The excitement from the time the kids are dropped off to the time they are picked up is infectious. Thank you Sina and crew. The kids are counting down the days until spring break camp. This camp is a "MUST DO" ... magic. I'm saddened to see some of these reviews... "unsafe" during the pandemic? Hardly. Camps were not required by the LADPH to mask outside. LADPH is the strictest health department in the country... if they are not requiring outdoor masking it means it's REALLY not necessary. They err on the side of extreme caution. It's very unfair to categorize this camp as unsafe when they followed all the protocols.

All Year Long, all we hear about is how much our Daughter can't wait for Summer to come..... Sandy Days is her favorite camp and has been since her first day 5 Years Ago. From the camp director to each of the counselors, they are all amazing and make sure every kid is having a great time all summer long and loving their time at the beach. And the best part, the kids get to decide what they want to do!!! What could be better then that???

Sandy Days is my kids' favorite camp...no question. There's no better summer activity than hanging at the beach, boogie boarding in the water, with cool counselors and awesome activities. Easy drop off. Full day of fun. Affordable. Safe. Reliable. We love Sina and the SD crew!

My two kids have tried several Westside day camps, and Sandy Days is the only one they've truly loved. Most importantly, my hesitant, slow-to-warm-up son is happy there. The director, Sina, welcomes every kid daily, and he consistently hires counselors who are engaged with the kids, sensitive to their needs, and fully committed to them having a fantastic day. I feel totally safe leaving my kids IN THE OCEAN with these people! They've taught my kids how to be safe and have a blast in the waves, and when they don't want to be in the water, there are lots of other fun activities going on. We can't wait for another summer at Sandy Days!!!

Sandy Days is my daughter's absolute favorite summer camp. She would attend for the entire summer if she could! What she loves most are the counselors, their antics and the flexibility of the day - she can move from cabana to cabana, spend time way out in the water, on a paddle board, at the shore or in the sand (she's never liked camps that are scheduled out to the minute). She will be a 7th grader in the fall and has been a Sandy Days camper since 1st grade - her hope is to be a CIT when she's old enough! As a parent, I love that she loves it so much and enjoy staying for a few minutes after drop off and before pick up to just observe the fun and games. Thanks so much for what you've created, Sina!!
