This club used to have the most beautiful sycamore trees in California. Was just watching the LA Open and they have now butchered the hell out of all the iconic Sycamore trees???. I have never seen such poor and ugly trimmed trees. Either they had a huge out break of Shot Hole Bore tree disease or the tree trimmer is a lunatic that likes beautiful trees to look like elk antlers. Sycamore trees are slow growing and once large branches are gone they will not grow back, especially the lower branches. Very sad they are not managing the trees well. Shot Hole Bore disease has been around for 15 years. They should have treated the trees early if that is what the problem was. Watering these trees during drought periods is a must to avoid tree stress and keep them strong and disease free. Also, they should keep planting younger sycamores so you have trees at different ages and not all old trees that are dying off at the same time. ?
