Hello, I was at the Ralphs in Pacific Palisades, Ca 90272. I just watched a train wreck in customer service. I observed a woman asking for and being directed to the store manager, Karlyn Takahara. Ms. Takahara was rude, condescending, presumptive and loud. My gosh, do you have the wrong person in the position to handle customer inquiries. I have my own business, and if I treated customers the way I observed Ms. Takahara treat this customer, I would not have any customers. I felt so bad to watch this woman being berated and verbally abused by your store manager. The customer had a simple question about pricing in the floral section, and the store manager just went off on her. I understand that people have bad days, but this is no excuse to treat customers in that manner. Your manager left this woman in tears. Other employees were watching this scene unfold as well. I watched as they all turned away in embarrassment. Again, this manager is in the wrong role. Just my observation.

Please take your business somewhere else. I work for a non-profit animal rescue which gathers up food to help feed abandoned pets/ strays in Los Angeles. I went in and talked to Rudy who is the meat manager to see if I can get some beef fat cuttings to feed the strays. When I worked as a butcher we would just throw tons of it away they were like orange peels and if someone asked I would give just give them away. He told me they can't give them out because its a "health hazard" you know those fat cuttings that they trim off the ribeyes and new york strips in the morning that is now considered a health hazard but if you buy one of their fatty steak thats not considered a health hazard. First time ever hearing that in 15 years. As if a starving stray dog could get sick from a fried and pressure cooked piece of beef fat cooked that day and find an attorney to sue Ralphs pro bono. I went to the manager Karla/ Carly same problem they can't give the fat cuttings out. Mind you they just throw tons of it right into the garbage and it is extremely wasteful when it could go to feeding lots of stray dogs. Even offered to pay for the fat cuttings that were going into the landfill that day and they wouldn't budge. I actually lose money doing this volunteer work already but it's absolutely worth it because you can absolutely make a difference in an animals life. Take your business to a kind supermarket.

I shop at Ralphs by my apartment most of the time but was in the Palisades and needed something urgent. The two Mexican girls (only way to describe them) at the self checkout area were some of the rudest grocery store employees I've ever encountered. Avoid this store at all costs.

Doris is rude and lazy….She doesn’t even put one item in a grocery bag and thinks she owns the place… so judgmental Doris… maybe it’s time for you to take a look in the mirror… maybe you’re not a nice person

Pretty standard grocery store. Went on thanksgiving- they were open at 4:30 pm!I usually try to go to smaller local stores, but they were mostly closed. This place was close and convenient. All their organic produce was from earthbound farms, which is a huge conglomerate and not the best quality. They did have organic selections tho.

I have been shopping at Ralphs for as long as i can remember. i called the one in pacific palisades to talk to a manger and kept getting disconnected. the Deli department is full people who have no idea what they are doing. they only know what they have been trained to do. asking them for a ham and cheese sandwich is a very confusing task for them. i see others have complained about the deli department here online, let me tell you nothing has been done to fix this customer service issue. the director at this Ralphs is as useless as the employees. so dont both calling to complain. Ralphs used to be top of the line food center, not anymore.

Worst customer service experience. Deli needs a full venting keeping only Jose. The deli manager should consider a new career. Preferably not around human beings.Jorge needs training to keep his assistant manager position.Note to staff - this is LA. Everyone speaks Spanish. So it's never a good idea to talk about customers in there presence even in Spanish.Go elsewhere Erewhon is the across the street. Vons & Bristol Farms is down the street

Not the best shop in the world, but it has affordable prices and a rather good variety of goods.
