When I heard that a new section of the garden was expanding upstairs and that they were growing wine now, my tendrils curled. The glassware, the pamplemousse Savon hand soap, the coffee table bookeries are delightful. Buy some plants drink some wine, laugh with friends in a Forrest of flora. Pop some bubbles upstairs and giggle in the garden.”
“With a name like Rolling Greens, you’d think they might be located on the Venice boardwalk. Instead, they are up top an unlikely hill in Culver, with an epic view across to the Santa Monica mountains.
I bought a succulent here, and a pot for the aforementioned succulent. The service I received was excellent. The employees, which were plentiful, were happy to engage with me and knowledgeable.
They even potted the plant for me (it was a gift), and gift packaged it for a reasonable fee. Full stars.”
“This was my first time coming to this Home Depot location. My mom sent me to run some errands for her and get some gas tanks to light the heaters we have in outside. My plan was to be in and out and that is exactly what happened thanks to Deniz. That woman needs a promotion because she is such a kind sole as well as helpful. She helped me trade out the old gas tanks and find the exact new ones. Thanks to Deniz for such great customer service and exact guidance to the product. I couldn't have asked for a better experience!”

“Love this place! This nursery was recommended by our landscaper and I am so impressed. Great selection, service and prices. Anything they didn't have in the nursery they were able to order within 1-2 days and deliver for a very reasonable price. We used VN nursery for all the plants in our front yard and they look amazing - they were even able to order the exact magnolia tree I wanted and have delivered that week. I had gone to Moon Valley nursery and they were charging 3x for the exact same plants and couldn't deliver for 6-8 weeks. Go with VN!!! Thank you Jose for being so easy to work with. We'll be back.”
“I felt compelled to write an outstanding review of Boething Treeland and recognize the exceptional customer experience I received in dealing with this nursery. I called yesterday, in search of a tree to replace one that had gotten diseased in our back yard. We have a whole row of trees that are uniform and one in the middle died and left a gaping hole in our privacy layer shielding us from our neighbors home. This tree is very rare and hard to find (Dwarf Carolina Cherry Laurel (Prunus caroliniana 'Compacta'), especially this time of year, and in the "perfect size" and height. I called Boething and Paul answered the call. He was helpful and very attentive from the start. He immediately knew what I was looking for, and even explained to me that there are different "strains" of the Carolina Cherry Laurel...something no one ever told me. He clearly knows his trees! He asked me to send a photo and one close-up with the leaves. He immediately texted me back and said it was the "dwarf" version. He then sourced it on-site and immediately sent me photos of two healthy trees. The price was EXTREMELY low and very reasonable. The tree was gorgeous, and perfection! The only downfall for us is the fact that we need to pick-it-up b/c we are outside their delivery zone, which is understandable. We will need to drive to Woodland Hills from South County OC and renting a truck (a 6 hour round trip). This may affect our decision ultimately...but I did feel compelled to recognize the exceptional service, pricing, quality, and responsiveness I received from Boething and Paul. We are considering a crepe myrtle too, so I will be bookmarking Boething and def. call again!!”

“I was in urgent need for some landscape supplies early in the morning and these guys were very close to me in SantaMonica and open early in the morning. Despite the low yelp reviews, I decided to give it a shot. I was greeted by Nick who is extremely friendly and very helpful. Seems to know everything and manage to get my project all in order within about 10 minutes and all with a smile. Great prices and wonderful service. If you need anything, don't waste your time at Home Depot. Just come here!!!”

“Venice Plants is fabulous place to pick up beautiful, healthy plants.Dustin and his family have owned and operated at this location for 30+ years for a reason. Their selection of tropical and other house plants is robust, and their prices quite reasonable.Staff have a no-nonsense approach that may initially come across as a bit gruff, but don't let that deter you. Once you engage with them, you'll find they are incredibly knowledgeable and helpful. They also genuinely care about helping you find the right plant and how to keep the thing alive.Most recently, I was in search of an elephant ear plant, but when I needed a different size that they didn't have in stock, Dustin procured it for me a few days later. He also gave me a great deal on it and a beautiful teal ceramic pot. Dustin’s son even repotted the elephant ear in a larger plastic pot that better fit in said ceramic pot—adding more soil and not charging for the extra service.This place is a gem, and if you’ve read this far you could have already been there by now.”

“I want to share an experience that I had with the Marina del Rey Home Depot. I went in for one thing, came out with 20, just like at a grocery store. I bought eight new outdoor chairs for my deck. I had a friend pick him up. There were only seven, and most of them had paint all over it. It was definitely paint because I tried washing one of the chairs. I emailed HD cares, and only got automated response. The automated response says someone will get back to you within 24 hours. That never happened.
The reason I'm writing this five-star review, is only because of Tanya, the customer service manager that helped me at store level when I came back to the store to get the wrong righted. She was a pleasure to work with. She was courteous, efficient, and smart. I like smart people because they think outside the box and find solution to the problem. Two days later, I had eight clean chairs that were delivered to my house. They picked up the seven that were damaged with paint and took him back to the store.
Whatever Home Depot is paying Tanya, it's not enough. They should give her a raise, or even better, promote her to teach and train other customer service individuals at the Home Depots nationwide. I know good service when I see it because I've been teaching and training sales and customer service for over 40 years.
