Great place to stay in Pacific Grove. Easy walk to shoreline. Close to town and restaurants. Friendly and helpful staff. Quiet, clean, and comfortable room. Easy parking. Would definitely stay there again.

Lovely facility. The staff went above and beyond to ensure I had a great stay. The room was spotless. Easy parking. I could walk to the sea. I would highly recommend staying here.
Rooms: Very clean; loved the gas fireplace.
Safety: I felt very safe and secure as a solo traveler

We stayed at Sunset Inn for a night. It was in a nice location by the sea and the staff was nice as well.
There were three main problems:
1 - Breakfast is basically nonexistent. The hotel claims to have a breakfast but they don't. What they have is some coffee, tea, cereals, and yogurt. They also have some bread out but no cheese, eggs, etc. that can qualify it as a breakfast.
2 - It was quite loud when the people above us walked as we were put in a suite that had a room upstairs. Thankfully we slept and woke up around similar times but when they walked, it was quite loud.
3 - Our pillow sheets were not clean. We had 4 pillow sheets and 2 of them were not clean.

We had a great stay at the Sunset Inn! It is walking distance to the beach and the lighthouse. The room was very comfortable with a ceiling fan and also a gas fireplace. The continental breakfast was perfect in the morning. We hope to be able to come back again soon!

The room was fine but pricey for the money. A little outdated. We couldn’t figure out how to turn the fireplace on. Not really any counter space in the bathroom. Also no mirror aside from the small one in the bathroom. It made getting ready with four people a little challenging. Beds and pillows were uncomfortable. On the plus side, the gentleman who checked us in was so nice and friendly. Also a nice assortment of food and coffee in the morning.

Easy to access, walking distance to the beach and short drive to all local attractions. The room was spacious and clean and all the staff were welcoming and kind! Would recommend!

Room was much smaller than expected especially for the [price I paid. the people are fantastic. Kind, considerate, caring and wanting to help you in every way.
The bathtub / spa was very difficult to get in and out of (hip replacement) I did know there was one but thought it was separate than a shower I expected to be there. It was very odd to have an expectation in the middle or our stay. thought this was not very good policy at all. ceiling fan squeaked when ion medium or high. Overall I would stay in a better room because of the people. I think what we got was overpriced for what happened. Thank you very much.
