“Brought in my car for an oil change. They were quick to greet me and show me the check-in process. They had my car done quick! It's a big shop with lots of tire options. Nice to find a local shop as the options have been thinning out over the years.”
“Came in with a drivable leak problem in the afternoon. Quick check to see if my car is safe to drive then given appointment for 8am next day even though Bay Automotive was busy. Next day got phone estimate within 2 hours of bringing it in. Work completed well done by end of the day. Total charge came in below the estimate. They did some complimentary adjustment such as on side mirrors. Also advised on two safety related repairs and DID NOT make any attempt to sell those or more services. Dan the owner and Shannon the office manager answered all questions. Skilled and professional. We are not a big bucks Ferrari owner but an ordinary family with a 15-year-old American car. This shop is worth driving out of the way to this small family-owned repair service near Naval Post Graduate School. Easily reached via Del Monte Ave, Freemont St. or Hwy 1. Deserves 5 plus stars.”

“One of my tires had low pressure and it turned out there was a nail that punctured the side which required a replacement. I was surprised how they were able to get it done quickly and efficiently. Service was awesome! I have already recommended this place for a few people already and would consider this place if I need new tires. :-)”

“Poppa Joe is the man hands down !!! I had a emergency situation with my daughters vehicle because I am out of state and she lives in monterey and Poppa Joe not knowing us or having any previous knowledge of our situation went out of his way to assist us with the delivery of our vehicle from out of state out of the kindness of his "heart" without charging us a dime. With that said, I will be getting my daughter vehicle serviced with Poppa because I know he really cares about his customers and is willing togo the extra mile for others to make sure your vehicle is right once you leave his establishment. “They are almost always busy, which says something, "Good, honest repair shop". I've been going to them for years. Best to make an appointment. No frills, no waiting area to speak of, no coffee, etc. But, if you just want your car fixed at a fair rate this place is for you.
