If there could be 1/2 a star thats what this experience would be! My husband & I pulled our savings money to move and this is what happened : Was given an estimate to pack right, day of packing I was told there was a 3 hour minimum! We do not have 3 hours of items to pack ! Why not tell me that when I signed contract? Then on top of that, we were charged for 50 boxes when only 35 were used! Packers left 1 kitchen drawer they did not pack! On top of this, they refused to take 80% of our garage items! they said it was not in estimate and that they would have to charge $1000 more! oh my god of course I listed my garage items that was part of our estimate! SO WE HAD TO MAKE 5 TRIPS TO MOVE OUR GARAGE ITEMS OUR SELF!!! they also did not put back together the table they took apart and also 2 of the movers did not wear booties that we requested due to white carpet they got dirty! oh my god what a nightmare we deserve at least 1/2 our money back! And the kids who were in charge with the i pads were not nice, did not smile and kept trying to add charges ! Take your time and find movers that will not lie about charges, that will not add charges and actually move your garage! good luck!

Took advantage of 2 disabled women. They quoted from a service person for 4000.00 to pack all artworks, all of thegarage, all rooms, and all we got were the heavy stuff. Threw all of the stuff on top of the heavy stuff in the middle of the room. We had to hire another moving company. (2 men) to help us finish. We tried calling to talk to them. One person ( Jacob) said they usually send some more men to get everything they forgot.Guess what? I've never heard from them again. So, thanks for taking advantage of us Handicap ladies. If ur a woman, don't use this company. If I could, I would give them -4.They didn't even put the cable boxes together or the sound system or internet.

I do not recommend them at all. Paid a fortune to have them pack up, move and unpack everything for my 90-year-old mom and total joke. I had to leave when they were supposed to unpack everything. Instead they left a giant mess. They broke many item. Never again.

I hired Meathead Movers as a recent college graduate moving from Los Angeles County to the Bay Area. Noah Avelino and Carlos Guzman took great care of my belongings, worked hard, and maintained a positive attitude. When you hire Meathead, you aren't simply paying for your items to go from one location to another. Instead, you get a team of clean cut gentleman that make your moving experience pleasant. This company proves that the cheapest service usually isn't the best service. If you are moving and want people to care for your items as if they were your own, hire Meathead, and you won't be disappointed.

I had a small move clearly outlined in an email I provided. They quoted 2 movers for 3 hours. It took 8 hours and they charged me 3x what they quoted. I was severely overcharged. The movers thought it was too much and they called for back up but their office did not answer. No one was available to speak to me the day of the move and I have called 3 times and no one is available to speak to me. 2 Boxes and a dolly were lost and i have not heard back from anyone. I do not recommend.

What company sells you services, then you find out your services are actually from another company? Meathead Movers sells you storage into an Oxnard facility they say they own, but you visit the facility and staff say they work for US Storage? You should be very concerned about whether you can trust what their team says to you on the phone (which they record), or if there is fine print in their documents that allows them to say one thing but do something else. Trust is important in any relationship. I don't have trust in Meathead Movers. Should you?

If you value your furniture and expect the Meathead movers to respect you, your possessions, be courteous and on time, do not hire the Meatheads. Also, do not buy the insurance they offer because they do not honor it. I hired the Meatheads last year on December 5, 2022. They arrived late and threatened not to move me unless I agreed to pay more than what was quoted on my contract. Since the person who took my original order signed off on this I refused.Regarding the professionalism provided, no inventory was taken, nor were stickers applied to my furniture to verify accountability. Being careful was not in their employee job description. No flooring was covered. Regarding placement in the van, my nightstands were stacked on top of each other without the benefit of blankets. Furniture was thrown upside down on top of boxes and other furniture. I purchased covers for one queen mattress set yet that was also damaged.Once arriving at my new address, the Meatheads hurried as fast as they could to leave my furniture haphazardly in a pile in my dining room and garage. At least they placed my bedroom and living room furniture in approximate locations. All boxes were piled so high I couldn't reach them to unpack. Feeling frustrated and emotional throughout the day, I felt obligated to tip these two Meatheads. Don't! They will play you at the end of your ordeal making you think they did you a favor!

My family and I did a move from Long Beach to San Luis Obispo so we worked with movers out of the Oxnard office. Coordinating ahead of time was made really easy ahead of time with our contact person, Noelle. She and Meathead took care of everything we needed for the full move and it was nice not having to coordinate with other companies. Overall, I found the movers to be really efficient, hard-working, and positive to work with. They made sure to move everything exactly where we needed it and were able to take apart and put together all of our furniture without issue. The only downside was that the overall communication on the days of the move was a little lacking. It's not enough where it takes it down a star for me, but our movers were late on both days. Totally understandable with traffic but we didn't get any updates on the first day. And then there was miscommunication with the SLO office so one mover arrived halfway through the day. And we weren't really updated much about that by the dispatch. Overall still, a great experience and I would recommend them. It just would have been nice to have more status updates on the day.

Hired them a 2nd time. WORSE service, took advantage of payment. moved with meathead in 2021, 0 issues, perfect job, paid an est $950 for the job of a 2+2 apartment moving 20-25 min away. Moving me from an upstairs until, to a bottom floor unit. Moved with them again in 2022, had all boxes at the front end of the garage & 90% of stuff in the living room to move. 2 kids showed up, updated my inventory, updated my quote by double & added 2 guys. Thinking this would be a quick job if there's more help..wrong. These guys talked, WALKED (when their slogan is they jog when they don't have things in their hand). It took them 4 hours to pack my stuff into their truck with 4 kids & all my stuff organized for them to take. They took 3.5 hours to move my stuff in to a 3 story townhome. I was floored when they charged me $2600 total. My "inventory" didn't increase by 260%, why did my total for my move go from $950 last year & $2600 this year..???? My move was on a non premium day which made my hourly rate about the same or slightly less than last year. & I was moving from a ground floor to a 3 story townhome. You would think they would take more time to unload than to load, but of course they were done by the time they were scheduled to get off at 6pm. They broke my power base bed frame & didn't say anything about it. They broke my cat tree and didn't say anything about it. They offered $230 off & to remove $91 because the "team captain" did his math wrong and over charged me by $91. They also left multiple boxes in the garage that said MASTER bedroom, LIVING ROOM or had my daughters name on them for her room. The laziness is embarrassing. DO NOT USE THEM. You're better off supporting a small business moving company who will charge you a flat rate and get the job done. Not hire 18-20 year olds who was to check their snap chat, text and horse around the whole time. Pics of final total, broken cat tree & broken power base.

We can’t say enough good about Meathead Movers. MM’s helped us with a long distance move from SoCal to NorCal. The days of my wife and I being able sling our heavy furniture and appliances into a U-haul and drive up and down the state are long over! We budgeted this expense in conjunction with the sale of our house and we’re glad to pay for the service and peace of mind. We boxed and moved all of our small items ourselves and wrapped most our smaller pieces like chairs and lamps. Meathead Movers moved all of our furniture and large appliances. The receptionist and sales people answered the phone with, “ How can we make you smile today”, which is great to hear when stressed over the multitude of details one has to grapple with when moving long distance. Their communications were excellent. The bid process was handled via a video conference call and they were great at explaining their pricing, packing and moving process. On the day of the move the crew was friendly, professional and courteous and were mindful of how they acted around my wife and I, which was appreciated. They wrapped every item and listened to our concerns. They also used door jam and floor protectors. Meathead Movers is a larger company and we’re able to accommodate last minute moving date changes. I would recommend Meathead Movers for any move.
