I went today to the Vallarta market down the street from my house. I remember buying the burritos in the valley and it was pretty good. So I went to buy me the carnitas burritos. They make some tasty Burritos over there.

Spent over $20 today on prepared foods and here is my review.1. the chicken in the chicken tinga was so dry I could barely swallow it (in the past it used to be tender and delicious)2. The Tamale was so dry from sitting in the warmer, I will never buy tamales there again3. The chili relleno was breaded so thick it was like eating a donut, which I threw out, and virtually no cheese in the chili.4. The Mexican potatoes were very good5. the refried beans very good.If I ever return it will be for the potatoes and refried beans. I would never buy the rotisserie chicken because they are so dry. The quality of your prepared foods needs to be drastically improved!

Always recommend Vallarta especially their meat department. Their fruits are super fresh as well. I really enjoy shopping at this store as they offer a variety or items for good pricing and good quality. Service is pretty good and quick. Highly recommend and will return for sure and recommend to friends and family

If you like guacamole, whether in tacos/burritos or on its own, you will be well served by going straight to Vallarta for their spicy guacamole. We grab a couple of containers of guac, a bag of their chips, and a package of their homemade tortillas and it gets us (and whatever friends we have over) through the entire weekend. Their cut fruit is also terrific - and well-priced. I can't speak to the other food items, but judging by the guac, chips, and tortillas, and the freshness of the cut fruit, I'm already sold.

I have never been a fan off this store because of the customer service, acting like they are doing us a favor (the consumer). Then the taking advantage of the people by up rising their prices for example the bolillo (bread) 2 for $1 where is use to be 4 for a $1. Don't get me started on rising the prices because they know people go extra on their EBT ..... I just got bolillos and I was shock for the price hike ! I don't support stingy companies like this one....

We ordered tamales for this Christmas 2022 holiday. What a joke to even offer these for people to eat. You would think a Mexican market would have better tamales. WTF!

The food is usually pretty good at Vallarta, but the chicken caldo was terrible. It was a couple of pieces of chicken in a tasteless clear broth with one giant piece of zucchini. No potato's or carrots or celery and no flavor. They also put a tiny container of rice and a couple of corn tortillas in the bag. At a whopping $14 I felt like I was robbed. I'll never buy food there again.
