Stopped here while visiting the area to check it out and to get dinner. It's organized and I was able to find the grocery items I typically get on a regular basis. It's clean and the check-out line wasn't long. The staff is friendly. PhilHouse is located inside, which serves a wide selection of pre-made dishes. There is a dining area with tables and chairs if you want to stay and eat. I would definitely come back if in the area again.

I was looking for a few carrots to finish a soup. I am glad I ended up at this store. I have never been in here. There was a wide variety of vegetables to choose from. The fresh carrots were huge- placed 10 in a bag. I saw a half of a large squash about pumpkin size with what looked like pumpkin seeds (but not 'cause it was green) wrapped in saran that was the perfect size for me- so I grabbed it. The last item was a jicama- God's natural candy. All of these items were just $10. When I got home I noticed that the jicama was already nearly shaved or cut of the outer skin so it was really easy for me to prepare the rest. Boy was it ever juicy and delicious. The carrots were as fresh as they could be. Quartered them and put them in the pot. The squash got the royal treatment and baked in the oven with cinnamon and butter. Really good. Really pleased with this store. Couldn't top it. And the two young ladies at the register were very quick and friendly. Thank you.

This review is just for the hot food since I mostly come here to get a meal. The food is good majority of the time. If you order the combo you can either have it with rice or pancit or both. They are always generous with the pancit even if you order both! Love the food here, but some of them can be a bit too greasy and I wish there was more vegetables in dishes like Sinigang. The ladies working behind the counter are great. There's one lady that's always so friendly. Definitely doesn't beat home-cooked meals but it's enough to satisfy my Filipino food cravings.

I do certainly recommend this place. Absolutely clean people that are very efficient and the food is fabulous. A little pricey but it is worth it.

This place is a welcome sight for all things Asian foods, they have specialized their market to target Asian and Pacific Island foods ?. In a city with a large population of our Asian brothers and sisters and people of all ethnic groups that love Asian food we could only find ingredients by driving all over town visiting several mom n pop stores to get what you need to prepare an authentic meal. This market solves that problem because it is a large facility with authentic labels found only here. It's definitely worth the trip there, but be warned, the lines are long all the time, but worth the wait for that yummy ? food..

Surprising budget minded seafood market in this posh neighborhood. I bought some halibut filets for $5,99 per pound, a price that is unheard of. They have many other fresh fishes too, and a hot deli that served all kinds of Asian and American fares.

Personally, I like this Island Pacific Supermarket in Oxnard better than the brand new Seafood City Market in town. Comparatively speaking, I think this grocery store has a better selection of Filipino groceries than their new competition. We visited both stores one day apart. The Jackfruit that they sell at Island Pacific in their produce section is awesome!! Seafood City did not have that available the next day we went. Just sayin.... If we lived in Oxnard, then I think that I would rather shop here than the competition. As it is now, we will patronize Island Pacific more when we visit our friends in Oxnard.

They almost have everything, fresh produce, meats, groceries and cooked food. They can even fry your fish for you with no extra charge. Wow

The least favorite satellite store I go to. The three in San Fernando Valley are much better organized and supplied. I only go here when I'm working in Ventura.

We get to Island Pacific once every few months when we have some specific needs in mind (mainly for Vietnamese, Thai, or Phillipino items). We were out of a particular condiment that had been featured recently in mainstream media (I hesitate to name it), and found it at Island Pacific for 1/4 the price quoted on Amazon, and 1/3 the price quoted at other places. We stocked up! Finding things at Island Pacific is always an adventure, but the staff are consistently helpful. I was also looking for canned water chestnuts and canned bamboo shoots, and was directed to the exact spot. We got our shrimp chips and dried squid jerky along with our other selections. The variety of seafood is amazing, from Pacific fish to Norwegian (how they get bins full of fresh fish in from Norway in a timely manner is a wonder). The store was very clean this time. It has always been cleaner than the Van Nuys 99 Ranch, but today it was very nice indeed.

Great spot to find ingredients and spices you’ll never find in a mainstream U.S. market. Check this place out at least once and you’ll not be disappointed!
