Hi, I reserved a car in booking app and I have some questions. I am 21 years old and I have Turkish licence which is international. I only have debit card and cash. Can I pay cash or with debit card and rent? It is my first time renting car in the USA so I have concerns and I’m worried of having problems with renting, I am waiting for your responses. This dollar car rental office left me with one option, pay twice as much and a large deposit. I had reserved a small sprint (simular) with priceline. I had all the RSVP on my phone and confirmation. I rented for errands, no trips. The man who I first spoke with (mgr) who said they could not see anything and you have to rsvp 24 hrs in advance. This made no sense as I had shopped online for the best deal. It was for 3 days at a total of $112. total, and he said nope. The best he had totaled $156. FOR 2 days and a deposit, I might get back on Wed.
I am so confused as I've never experienced this before. He blames PRICELINE, and PRICELINE said what HE did is not correct. Why is Dollar renting at the very small airport. DO NOT use Dollar unless you are willing to go through them directly as the mgr said. I am not sure why PRICELINE, EXPEDIA. BOOKING.COM and more. I wanted a spark, ended up with a V8 gas guzzler. Very disappointing. I will never go back there.

Excellent service and care! Visiting for a vacation, I needed to rent a car. Having had poor experiences with other rental places in the past, I’m extremely happy to have chosen Dollar Rental! Thank you Sai and Henry.

Dollar rent a car at the airport is by far the best rental car office I've ever been to. Henry makes you feel like family. He goes out of his way to trying to accommodate and you're always greeted with a smile. I would recommend this place to everyone who's looking for a rental . Come to Dollar at the airport! They Rock!

I arrived at 2:53 pm for my 3 pm car rental, where Sai assisted me. Unbeknownst to me, he canceled my American Express rental, charged a different amount, and claimed I voided the contract by arriving 7 minutes early. Despite being willing to wait until 3 pm to avoid a price change, he never mentioned it, proceeding to void the agreement and continue charging me more. After rebooking online for 3:30 pm, I faced further issues, including being charged for an unwanted upgrade. Disappointed with the service and treatment by the manager, the experience at Dollar rent a car left me frustrated, especially as they allowed overcharging despite a reservation with a set price.DO NOT RENT FROM THIS LOCATION IN OXNARD. It was a horrible experience, if I could give them a Zero stars I would.

I rent about 20-30 cars per year all across the USA about 10 times in the city of Oxnard, I have used Priceline and Expedia multiple times and this Dollar rental location in the city of Oxnard is the only lactation that never honors the price giving by this travel sites, Avis next to them always is exact to the and every other location even dollar all over the US except this.They always blame the third party on not adding the airport taxes. So be careful you’re better off renting from Avis next door because they will honor the rate giving be the third party.

Sai helped us rent a vehicle when we struggles so much at Entrrprise, Hertz and other locations for a one way rental.
He was kind and helped us alot!
We definitely recommend coming here. It is also a big bonus that they are family owned!

Had a reservation through AAA. On arrival, my reservation in their system reads CANCELLED. I called their corporate office, and it's NOT cancelled in their system.The guy at the desk took a screen shot on his phone of the cancelled reservation. I found this incredibly off putting because there was a "drop-down" on showing that he may have just changed it to Cancelled there on the spot. Also his body language shows me that he's not being truthful when he said to me "if i had known you were coming I would have had a car for you" and I told him THATS WHAT RESERVATIONS ARE FOR.I was stranded, so I had to rent a car through AVIS next door from them, for double the cost. I then called Dollar to register a complaint, and after 45 minutes on hold and asking for supervisors I was told my complaint had been made but I was not able to receive any confirmation that it was.I was also told that this location is a "licensee" and therefore they can skate responsibility by telling me that it was a local problem. Hogwash!!I called AAA back and they handled it. Opened a complain form, asked for my overpayment charge, and will work on getting me a voucher.Do not use this rental place, unless you make triple sure that your confirmation is GOOD at this LOCAL pick up location.

No star is more like it!!! Think twice before you make a reservation here. They do not honor reservations. Arrived for a business trip rental after having made my reservation through a known online travel site. He asked me what site I used to reserve. He grimaced after I told him. The reservation was for a Midsize SUV and when he started getting the keys to the cars I asked what models of cars were available. He stated he was giving me a hatchback Hyundai. I asked him for an SUV as stated in my reservation. He said it's an SUV. He said the reservation stated that they could give me a similar car... but those are not the same things! He said he didn't have any other cars and would have to charge me $10 additional a day for the bigger (midsize Nissan suv as listed on their checkout counter) car even though that was what I reserved! I said they are not the same thing why would I pay more for the rental I already paid for! Looked like they rented out the SUV I reserved and they tried giving me the smaller car. I was trying to be understanding with the guy at the counter, and asked him to try and accommodate us and he said no and I could take my business elsewhere if I didn't want to pay more. The owner/manager (older man) stood there listening and watching and did nothing to help. Couldn't believe it! I almost did except I had deadlines and didn't have time to work on another reservation. I had people relying on me! Never again! They don't care about people here! They are deceptive and use these type of tactics to make people (who use travel sites and get better prices) to pay more!! Never using them again! Warning... not only are they deceptive their cars are filthy and the hatchback they tried to give me smelled like an ashtray! The one I rented was filthy they don't clean them before they release for rental.

My recent visit to this vehicle rental concierge was courtesy of AAA, and I am so very glad I had the good fortune to be referred here. I showed up with my reservation, was instantly upgraded without saying a word, and essentially treated like royalty. The distinguished Sir to whom I owe my welcome was Sai, the General Manager. The vehicle had been freshly cleaned, was full of fuel, and I was driving away within just a few minutes. Returning it was just as smooth- because I had opted for the additional insurance, I simply handed them the keys and shook hands, and off I went!Josh, the handsome gentleman who assisted my return, was kind, professional, and could charm the crown right off the King's head. I left with a smile and, to be honest. blushing a bit.
