I was told I had a transmission issue and it needed to be replaced by another place. Carlos Auto changed my oil with better oil and is keeping an eye on my car but said there was no signs of my car having transmission issues. They did not take advantage of me and I appreciate that.

86 Toyota 4Runner running strong! Carlos is extremely knowledgeable and fair. He does his best to explain exactly what's wrong with your vehicle. He always shows me exactly what he did and saves all old parts for me! Great guy! Tons of experience! Hard to find a mechanic with his level of knowledge and experience!

Carlos replaced my timing belt & water pump for a grand total of $420. Another Mechanic (Mr. Car Auto Care in San Diego) quoted me $400 JUST for the water pump.

Carlos is the best mechanic I have ever gone to. He is super honest and will not try to over charge you or inform you your car needs an extra service when it doesn't. Honesty in the mechanic field goes a long way. There is no other mechanic I would recommend for you to take your car to then Carlos. He is certified and knows what he's doing as he has over 30 years of experience.
