Mayra deserves zero stars! She is one of the worst medical professionals I have encountered. She has no bedside manners. She is a bad listener. She rudely interrupts you as you speak. She throws it in your face that she is a doctor with a condescending tone also while listing her certificate of hand specialist. Her constant disrespectful and condescending tone diminishes my comfort level as a patient. She has no patience! To top it off, she is the owner of this facility and she has the audacity to treat her patients with blatant disregard of their comfort in a vulnerable situation. Just because you are a doctor and the owner, doesn't give Mayra the right to treat people like they are beneath her. The environment is heavy when she is around and she has no accountability.*** 5/5 STARS***To Eli, Michael, and Elvira. They are friendly, helpful, and respectful. They add to a positive environment. Thank you for all you do!Daniel is an amazing Occupational Therapist. When working with you, he demonstrates great patience and knowledge. He takes the time to get to know you in order to make your individualized exercise plan. You can truly tell he is passionate about his job.Daniel is the epitome of how to treat and care for your patients with dignity and respect. I strongly recommend him for your road to recovery. If it wasn't for Daniel, I would have taken my business elsewhere.

I really gave them a chance. At first, I was seeing red flag after red flag with these folks. This is who my Dr recommended so I thought let's just get to know the Dr's and the process, maybe they were just having a few off days. It started with the office staff losing the forms I filled out for them before my first visit. They give you electronic files, with no instructions on how to get it back to them. So, I sent it to the email on the website. Apparently, office staff doesn't have access to that email! Literally weeks of having to explain to different office staff to get this issue resolved, since each time I called the new person I spoke to didn't know about the situation and would tell me I still needed to fill out the forms. Verry frustrating from the start. So, I finally start seeing the Dr's and having physical therapy appointments. Dr Mayra seemed to rub me the wrong way starting from the first appointment. Talking to me in almost an argumentative fashion. Also, I had to explain very simple things to her. On multiple occasions I had to explain to the Dr's and office staff, that I have a job and I have to ask for the time off from that job to make my appointments. I can't just last-minute change my appointment time (for them) because of this. They act like this is very strange and never heard of the concept before. In just a month they wanted to reschedule my appointments twice, on the same day of appointment. Of course, if I canceled my appointment same day they would have charged me a fee, but they cancel without any penalty as if my time is less important than theirs. Not cool. A month later, I was still getting this argumentative and negative talk from the Dr and at this point they had only taught me a few exercises. Basically, the same exercise in different positions (laying down vs sitting ect). I realized this wasn't a fluke or a bad day this is a pattern of behavior. I finally thought if I don't like these people and the way they make me feel, why am I giving them my energy and my hard-earned money, it should be easy to find a company with people that can do better, and it was. I found a great company to go with, that's lightyears different in their ability to take care of people. Moral of the story, don't settle, find yourself the best. You deserve it.

Highly recommend CA hand & physical therapy. I have been coming here for years. Everyone is always very professional and knowledgeable. The owner (Mayra) also participates and sees client. She is very knowledgeable and a skilled Therapist. They use hands on therapy which not all therapy places do anymore. They even do Graston massage therapy. This therapy group shows they care about their patients. I have seen them for my hands, back, neck and knee pain and after care from surgeries. I have recommended many friends and family. All have had great experiences. I also love the diversity of therapy they offer. They even have Pilates and a very knowledgeable instructor. This Accelerates the healing and strengthening process. The front office staff is accommodating and efficient. I love everyone in this office. Oh.... And they gave 2 offices. One in Oxnard and Thousand Oaks.

I took seven therapy sessions (Out of 12 authorized by my insurance). I asked twice (during the 1st and 2nd visit) to Estrella, the receptionist, what my copayment was. I was told that the computer did not show any copayment. So, foolishly, I took 7 session that did nothing for me. When I respectfully let them know that a change in my diet was solving my problems, not their therapy, I was encouraged to assist to one more therapy (to "discharge" me??? more likely to charge me for another session). Anyway, the exercises and the hot pads massages did three things for me: nothing, nothing, and nothing (oh, except to leave me with a bill of $31 per session!) So please people, make sure your copayments are clarified before agreeing to services.

Came here for PT for a total knee replacement. Waited more than an hour for my first appointment. Saw Mayra Saborio, who was one of the most egotistical people I've ever met - she discredited what my orthopedic surgeon (Bawa from SCOI) told me about walking as much as I could and said, "No you shouldn't be walking so much. I know - I'M a doctor." No, you're an idiot. I have a very high fitness level (always have as an athlete); despite this, my care plan was cookie-cutter for someone over 60 who never saw the inside of a gym in his/her life. Unacceptable. I gave them a chance and went for a few more visits - only 2 of the assistants were worth going for as far as giving me a few good stretches and tips. On my last visit on a Friday (with two more scheduled), I was told that my insurance only covered 5 visits (wrong!), they had sent in paperwork to the surgeon and insurance to get approval for more visits, and that they cancelled my visits for the following week. What? I saw Dr Bawa (my surgeon) that following week and told him what happened with this PT office in Oxnard. Dr Bawa's office did not receive anything about my progress or approval for further visits from the PT. Furthermore, after a couple phone calls, my insurance company didn't receive anything either. So this office flat out lied to me. Dr. Bawa gave me clear instructions for progression, which I supplemented with online videos, and I'm back at the gym and doing great on my own. I cannot recommend this business whatsoever.
