Rented a Van from Budget, extremely dirty and sticky from something spilled. Not the first time this happened, so maybe my last time renting. Also if you rent from Oxnard airport near closing and don't make it back by closing you will be charged for another day rental. Because no after hours drop box is provided.

Be aware that there is no after hours drop box for keys at this location. Nothing. This is not explained in the reservation process. The owner was pretty rude in explaining this to me when I arrived. There is a dollar drop box but I was told I could not use it, even though the locations are literally next to each other. Budget corporate was helpful and cancelled and refunded my reservation.

I was very pleased with the car. I received a free upgrade and liked the Kia Soul a lot. The windshield had drops of something all over the outside which I had difficulty removing. Also the window washer fluid had one small squirt left in it then was empty so several times I had to put water on the windshield to clean it. Otherwise the car was clean inside and out. I would recommend Budget and I will use them next time I need a rental.

I rent from Budget each month for a regular business trip. The cars are great and the counter support is very friendly and helpful. The prices are also very good. The location is perfect for me.

Do NOT rent from here! RUDE!Returned to the car to Thousand Oaks on Saturday morning after having a horrible experience at LAX. I asked the man working to verify what I was billed since I was not given a copy of the agreement at LAX; he said he could not make any changes to the contract and that he would send me an e-receipt but that he needed to reboot his computer; after patiently waiting for approx. 10 mins. for the reboot, I asked how much longer it would be. And yes, at this point I am annoyed. He told me I needed to change my tone of voice and that I was threatening him. I never threatened him in any way and told him I did not appreciate the way he was talking to me. After another 5 mins. he finally gets the computer booted and sends me a receipt showing I was overcharged by $40 and tells me I have to call customer service to correct. What a hassle!I think this was all a scam to try to make more money and take advantage of people travelling on Spring Break and for the Easter holiday.

We just rented a Minivan for a day, a brand new vehicle, but it had an issue with the retractable seats, however, Bob was able to fix it after some struggle...Customer service is the Best, the 1800 number and the people at the Oxnard location (Bob) highly recommend!

Would leave zero stars if possible. Made a reservation and when I went to pick it up they tried to give me a smaller vehicle than I paid for. They found me a the full size SUV I reserved but the air conditioning didn't work. In Florida. They gave me a credit (for two of the four days) which I just tried to use. I have been trying for weeks, the customer service people have disconnected me six times over three days. And only when I start asking questions so I can plan my pickup or ordering. At this point, I am willing to pay more, give up my credit and book elsewhere. I have never had such a frustrating experience before.

If you have any trouble with a Budget car this is what one will face with corporate when trying to solve the problem. Rented car with full coverage and 2 drivers so my son (29) could drive the car. Car broke down. Car replacement broke down this time in a parking garage at midnight. Son called towing service # on car key and they wouldn't give a time estimate to pick up car. An hour later garage was closing so they left and took Uber home. ($100.) Next day was told car was towed. Three days later Budget called, they couldn't find car and it was our responsibility. REMEMBER-we had full coverage that included theft? Couldn't get hold of supervisor, return phone calls from Budget only after days and many many phone calls, nobody could help and it still isn't resolved. Hold and charges on our credit card. HOURS and hours trying to sort this out. Nobody would give us a supervisor. When a supervisor called they couldn't do anything. We have a recording of towing company saying they towed the car. Budget said no and we were responsible because my son left the car in the garage. He was with fiancé in deserted garage at 1 am being told by security they had to leave. What was the alternative? Any help ideas are welcome. AN aside but not related to corporate interactions: first car had scratches, 3/4 of a tank of gas, and 43,000 miles. Car number 2 was filthy and had finger nail clippings on floor. (pictures upon request)

Made a reservation because I needed to swap out of a vehicle with electrical problems. They were cool to make the reservation, but once they knew I was bringing in a trouble vehicle, suddenly there wasn't a single car available.Unprofessional.

Budget has no way to protect your privacy. Someone called and booked a rental for a month using my credit card on file. I called Budget and they refused to remove from credit card that is on file. I even called the fraud department and they said they cannot remove my credit card that is on file. They refused to reverse the charge. Do not book through Budget as they offer zero protection. I highly recommend you book through Expedia as they will protect and respect your privacy. Budget does not respect or protect your privacy. They do not enforce any ways of security.
