Had a phone call with someone and they said they would let me know what day they could come to my home the following week and no one showed up. Called them again, left a voice message and no return call. They were the only local dealer that sold the windows I was looking at, and that is how I was connected to them but after reading other reviews, maybe it was a good thing they never called back.

Like Mike we ordered $40000+ worth of Western doors only to have constant issues with parts and pieces. ABS, specifically Daniel, kept deflecting blame onto us saying we ordered the wrong things, which turns out was not the case. I recently had to follow up on some missing parts and I was pleased when Brian told me the parts were on the way. However, they were the wrong parts and when I called back to try and get different ones, Brian was condescending and insistent that Western wouldn't lie to him about what parts were needed. My contractor is sourcing the parts from another dealer now because even he doesn't want to deal with them. Always amazes me when people forget what customer service looks like. Moral of the story, avoid ABS and avoid Western.

Easily the worst window and door supplier I have ever done business with. Approximately a year ago, I bought 45 thousand dollars worth of WESTERN WINDOWS & DOORS from them, and since they were installed, it has been a total s**t show. I don't want to confuse the product with the dealer that sells the product, but when you buy a badly made or designed window, then that's when you need a good dealer to help you sort out the problems (Sliders that were made with the wrong parts causing them to need superman strength to operate, or not lock, every casement with serious leaks). We've been dealing with this for MONTHS. I don't know how long Associated has been around, but I can't imagine how they can stay around much longer when they are so clueless when it comes to customer service.

I have been impressed by the customer service at Associated Building Supply. They have effective communication and are extremely pleasant to deal with. We are happy about the outcome of our project and are looking forward to working with them again in the future.

When my husband and I visited ABS in Los Gatos, our intention was just to get some information on our high end windows and Jeldwen's warranty. We were amazed at how the sales consultant Loren Monge was so courteous and helpful and really took the time to educate us and give us insightful recommendations based on his 20 years of experience in the field. Loren even went over and beyond the call of duty and offered to visit our home as a service to Jeldwen, and without any obligation on our part. He really cared about helping us to accurately measure our windows and to show us where to find information needed for the warranty. He diligently followed up with us to ensure we were taken care of and even put us in touch with his contacts to get information on installation and service work. We have no hesitation in recommending Loren and ABS to anyone who is seeking high quality window and products as well as impeccable customer service. Thank you Loren and ABS for all your help.

I am reviewing the Los Gatos showroom that I have been in two times. On my first visit at the end of 2011 the relatively new salesperson clearly had an eye for design, and was good to show me what the Jeld Wen product line had to offer. We both had to leave to pick-up kids from school and he suggested I come back about an hour later when his partner would be back in the showroom. I did make a special trip back to the showroom, knocked on the locked door, and never got a response. I told my contractor about ABS and he preferred to work with Argonaut as he had a working relationship with them. I accepted that. When ABS followed up with me, I explained that was the situation. They did not bother me after that. I returned to the ABS Los Gatos showroom in March when I needed to see the Jeld Wen product in person and it was more convenient to stop in ABS. I walked in the open door. No one was in their well laid out showroom and so I looked for the examples I needed to see. When a sales rep did come out he asked about my project and I was honest and explained that I was working with Argonaut. Then I asked my simple question, "Was the sill that I was looking at Jeld Wen's standard sill for their Site Line product?" He replied that since I was not his customer he would not answer my question. How rude! It wasn't like I was asking him to spend hours of his time to answer my questions. I understand that he would rather I be his customer, but if he is that rude, I would never want to do business with him.

The Jeld Wen windows were ultimately good, but Associated Building Supply was terrible. Customer service was none existant. Fortunately, the factory stepped in and fixed my minor quality issues. The proprietor of ABS was non responsive and deceitful. I ordered a piece of hardware at the end and never received it even though I kept getting reponses that he would drop it by. He even claimed to have dropped it off when no one was home and it "disappeard". Stay away from these guys....
