Note::: this review is for the US post office on ROBINSON....NOT the post office on Myers!I was in Oroville today and had to mail some envelopes that were important. I only used their drop box inside the post office. The United States Post office is located on the corner of Oak Street and Robinson in old downtown Oroville. The building itself is beautiful with alot of character. Very historic! I was there today at 220 pm ( September 12) and there was a pretty long line of people with packages.I can't say if the employees are on top of it or not because I did not have to go up to the counter for assistance.Parking is available out front. I would have given them more stars but the 2 homeless people right in front of the entry were not friendly. I won't go here again because I don't live here! I usually mail my stuff at the post office elsewhere. It does have mail boxes inside this facility.

Mail my house payment on the 6th of each month, my payment for October took 2.5 weeks to get to my mortgage holder in Seattle, WA. because it was late I was charged $92.60 in late fees. Also my current payment stub arrived after my payment was due!! This is crap service, no wonder people pay on line and don't use the Postal Service. I will be doing that from now on. Postal Service owes me $92.60

During this time of mask requirements customers can be difficult to hear but the staff are patient and listen and are courteous thank you !

I received notice of an attempted delivery. When I went to the main location it took the clerk, supervisor and another supervisor 22 minutes to find where my packages were located. They indicated it was at the Meyer location. I asked why the packages were not delivered or put in a locker since I have a PO Box and after another 5 minute wait, the supervisor (female, and didn’t give a name) said they would meet me at the front door and give me my packages. But this was after telling me how many pieces of mail she still had to process. Just FYI managers, supervisor or those who feel they have power; telling customers how much work you have and how you’re unable to complete your workload isn’t my concern and you seem highly unprofessional trying to get any sympathy from customers. I went to retrieve my packages and out of the 4 packages I picked up only one of the packages would not fit in a locker. The others; 1 package 10x13x3, and 2 envelopes 1 16x10, 1 8x11 would have fitted in a locker but yet they kept all the packages. As per usual Oroville has poor customer service.

Absolutely the most inferior and inept service in the country! Will shed no tears when the Gov't closes all the facilities and fire all the good for nothing carries here in Oroville!Just had knee surgery, it has been pouring down rain most of the day. I just took dog out for a.min and saw a large sopping wet box had been placed this side of plastic netting! Must have been getting soaked for hours!Granted, it would have taken one minute to walk up driveway and knock on door or even less time to pull out stick holding the netting together to place box on my covered front deck! The lazy, senseless carrier decides to reach over netting and leave on sidewalk! Oroville must get the brainless and lazy carriers no other postal service wants!

On Monday 11-13 -17 I received 10 pcs of other company's mail in our box. This occurs way too often. I have reported it directly to this post office in the past and again this Monday. I was told that they would discuss with our delivery person. Today / Friday 11-17 I received 3 pieces of other company's mail in our box.

Warning to visitors not familiar to Oroville - this is not a full-featured Post Office. If you need to ship something, visit the main Post Office on Robinson Street.

Filthy! This post office was so dirty it smelled when I walked in. Absolutely unacceptable conditions. I would use the other post office if I were you.

I like this post office because it has a lot of parking. I've been getting my mail here for several years. I like the fact I don't have to walk up all those stairs like you do at the main post office on Robinson. A few times of the day they are pretty busy but other times it's pretty quiet. I also like that it is next to Raley's and Marshals, the Chinese restaurant and the pet store. All these in one location. FYI they only have one postal worker here because it's a very small post office. Also note they are closed for lunch from 12 noon till 1 p.m. and then the post office has no service after 4 p.m. the main post office on Robinson is open until 5 p.m. for counter service and does not close for lunch. Because it's a full service post office.
