We are very pleased with Foothill Boarding & will be visiting again when needed. Thank you Foothill for taking excellent care of Roxy and putting our minds at rest. You went above and beyond the call. I'm forever grateful.

PAWS of Oroville Clinic
3557 Oroville Dam Blvd E, OrovilleAbsolutely amazing staff. I brought a dog in that was extremely over bred and it was an emergency surgery with high risk of death and they did such a good job for her. With the smallest surgery scar I've ever seen.

VCA Butte-Oroville Animal Hospital
751 Oro Dam Blvd E, OrovilleIve taken my pets to Dr. Dent for years while he was still across the River in Thermalito. Of course I followed him to VCA. There are a few long term people that I really like but with the severe veterinarian shortage and Dr. Dent semi retired, they're far too busy now, and it's suffering! I had really liked Dr. Duran as well. Sorry to see him go. I feel really badly for them! I hate that they had to be signed under the VCA umbrella honestly. It's taken away from the community aspect in certain ways. I do hope it has helped them however! Vets are hard to find because of the lengthy schooling it takes, nearly as long as a regular doctor!! There are NO incentives! That said, veterinarians also do NOT make alot of money!! Unless they're a specialty doctor! Even then, it's not what you think! They're in it for the love of the animals only! The desire to help them. That they've had to join VCA to not only be protected monetarily, but insurance wise, medication prices, workers comp, fees, permits, and the endless amount of taxes that keep rising, says much about how utterly over regulated and ridiculous the politics of this state across the board, are!! This is an anti small business state to add to that! It's extremely difficult to have a successful small practice here! Small business of any type!! So give your vets a break the next time you have issue!! You have no idea what they deal with!! Be kind! They're killing themselves for years to take care of our animals, not a lot of gratitude from clients, but plenty complaining, they're exhausted continuously from the hours put in, the emotions, with no real income to cover all expenses that go with owning a business!! Only business owners understand all!! And it doesn't mean you're automatically wealthy when you do own a business!! Hardly! Not even close!! I gave it four stars, simply due to the VCA aspect, but not because of the folks that work there and the care given.

Pet Sitting & Training
For the Love of Dog
18 Linda Loma Dr, OrovilleI have been following Tiffany at For The Love of Dog on social media for several years. I was able to attend her community pack walks (donation based and funds donated to local non profits), safety in numbers and great way to create neutral dogs. Then my dog and I attended one of her workshops and really got to see the trainer she is. Dogs do understand Tiffany's language and she is able to assist owners to communicate with their dogs. When she created her K-9 Guardians online community I immediately joined to attend her weekly meet ups and her bi-weekly zoom meeting were members can share and discuss questions share videos and get instant feed back from Tiffany. She and the community are like having a coach and a cheerleader in your back pocket. If you are in need of dog training assistance or just a place to talk dogs (my husband doesn't want to listen anymore :-) ) then don't hesitate reaching out to For The Love of Dog.

Hightest Kennels
1021 Lower Honcut Rd, OrovilleThe staff are wonderful. Their basic training program gave us the tools to better enjoy our dog on walks and at home. We use them exclusively for boarding, as they offer boarding with refresher training. This helps us, plus our dog responds well to mental stimulation. She is always healthy and happy when we pick her up.
