We came across Tiffany on instagram and are SO thankful we did! Between community pack-walks and her low cost monthly training videos (and group zooms!) we have seen a huge improvement with our reactive dog. It wasn't until we made the decision to do a half-day training where we really saw a difference.
Our dog was easily the spiciest dog there, and I felt so much shame and embarrassment at his first reaction at the group class. Tiffany's ability to create a welcoming judgement-free environment in which we could learn, practice, 'fail', and try again, gave me the space to really learn how to work through this with my dog: managing my own emotions to help him with his emotions. By the end of the day his body language was loose and comfortable, and the next pack walk we saw a difference. Previously, we trailed the group by 20+ yards; this time we walked side-by-side with another dog.
Tiffany (and Dwayne!) really set us up for success and helped to build a solid foundation between our dog and ourselves.

After one session with Tiffany, my reactive dog and I can walk together calmly and enjoy the walk. Thank you so much!

Tiffany is beyond amazing. We have collaborated on a couple projects where she has donated to fundraisers I was leading. I have yet to use her dog training services, but I can tell you that when I see her training her client’s dogs around town she is SO GOOD AT IT. Her respect for the dog and for you is of the highest standard. She is a very clear communicator and loves her trainers fiercely. She is a wealth of information and has an amazing program where she gives training tips. She also helps so many people with her videos on Instagram and TikTok. If you are looking for a dog trainer who is knowledgeable, has a heart for giving back and gives you amazing results (I've seen her results with clients!) then you must use one of her services. ?

It took a while for me to find Tiffany but I am so grateful I did. My little bug is a ball of energy and developed some bad habits that became super disruptive in daily life. Although I was hesitant about a board and train, this was the best thing I could have done and would do it again with Tiffany and her family in a heartbeat.
The communication was beyond expectations. Not only did I get multiple daily updates but Tiffany understands the needs of the humans just as much as the dogs (and she really gets dogs - just ask her about Ducky’s disdain for the snoot loop). She took the time to respond to all of my questions, no matter how ridiculous, and helped to set me up for success with Ducky.
The best part for me is that Tiffany is just as engaged since I took Ducky home as she was when she had her. I do not feel abandoned or left to my own devices. I can, and do, still ask questions whenever I need some extra help. This wasn’t a quick fix and I’m so glad I have the ongoing support.
I am so thankful that I found For the Love of the Dog, Tiffany and her family and cannot say how happy with the experience and would recommend them without hesitation.

We had looked across the state and interviewed several different board and train options for our 9 month old rescue puppy. After speaking with Tiffany and learning about her background, I knew she was the right person for us. No other programs we spoke to shared so much about their personal philosophy around dog training and "lifestyle dog" training like she did. Something I appreciated a lot about Tiffany when we first spoke (and needed) was the non-sugar coated, matter-of-fact approach to understanding our puppy's genetics and how we can't train "out" some of the things that are in Pfeiffer's DNA.
Throughout Pfieffer's 5 weeks with her, she sent extremely informative videos (which we still look at now about a month later for refreshers) and consistent updates to Pfeiffer's progress, and even things that weren't progressing. She noticed things about Pfeiffer we NEVER would have (like how sensitive and anxious she is) and helped us understand Pfeiffer's language and how to create mutual trust.
Tiffany gave us the "tough love" we needed when it came to understanding our dog, and understanding that there are some things that are inherent to her that we cannot change. This made the entire process and understanding of our puppy so much more personal and humane, which it always should be!
Pfeiffer has been home for a month. She's still her unique, sensitive, silly self, but now she (and both of us) knows structure, and rules, but now we better understand Pfeiffer and have learned to create a mutual trust with our dog which, without Tiffany, we never would have had.
We are so grateful to Tiffany and her expertise and would recommend her 1000000x over.

If you’re looking for someone to work with your dog and you who will genuinely care, you found the right person in Tiffany. My German Shepherd Tali went for a training retreat in March for leash reactivity and better walking manners. I got updates and coaching videos every single day (except Sundays :-) ) about Tali’s progress and how I could keep those skills up at home. Tali learned place, walking manners, sitting politely under a table, and to look at me for guidance when she saw another dog outside instead of barking. Tiffany investigated the source of Tali’s big feelings and taught me all of the tools I need to keep all of her new skills fresh. Her barking at other dogs has decreased immensely, and she is responsive and delightful to take on a walk. We can go on pack walks and sit on a patio around other dogs! It was so reassuring to hear about Tali’s training every day, and it is still reassuring to know that I can follow up with Tiffany for any training questions in the future. I would recommend Tiffany to anyone who loves their dog and wants a training partner for life!

Our experience with Tiffany was absolutely transformative for both our family dog and ourselves. We adopted a lively puppy at seven weeks, and despite attending several puppy training classes, we were struggling with behavioral issues like hyperactivity, jumping and destructive tendencies. At 11 months old I had given up hope until I heard about board and train.
Tiffany came highly recommended online and from our initial consultation we understood why. Not only did she expertly train our dog, but she also patiently coached us, instilling the confidence we needed to continue training at home. Her communication skills were exceptional; she explained techniques clearly and tailored her approach to suit our family's needs.
What sets Tiffany apart is her ongoing support. The training didn't end after our month long boarding; she remains available to answer questions and provide guidance whenever we need it.
Thanks to For The Love of Dog our once hyperactive and mischievous puppy has transformed into the most loving and well-behaved companion. We couldn't recommend Tiffany more highly for anyone seeking effective, supportive, and comprehensive dog training.

All I can say is For the Love of Dog is life-changing!! Tiffany was recommended to us by another trainer in the Bay Area and we are so lucky that we found her when we did. I was so drained and just at a point where I didn’t have any motivation to train or learn how to further address our dog Hazel’s reactivity around other dogs, after a year of trying different trainers, online workshops, and 10 different leashes and tools. I had significant burnout and had been trying anything to help work through leash pulling and reactivity. Since my husband and I signed Hazel up for the board and train program with Tiffany, our life has been SO much easier and manageable. After interviewing with Tiffany early on, I knew that she would not only focus on working through Hazel’s anxiety, but also helping me manage my feelings around Hazel and how to work through my own stress. There was zero judgement, I felt like I was in a safe space and not a complete failure, and really just appreciate her approach to training both the human and the dog. She also taught us how to manage our relationship with Hazel in a way that was realistic to our lifestyle, and really pared down our tools to help manage our day-to-day life with our sweet and excitable pup. In addition to the board and train program, I’ve attended her workshop on leash work, I'm in her membership program, and would participate in ALL the pack walks if I lived closer to Oroville! I highly recommend Tiffany, she clearly loves all dogs and genuinely wants to make your life with your dog the best it can be.

We rescued our sweet girl Bayley 2 years ago. Bayley has always struggled with reactivity on walks, along with a lot of demand behaviors. Looking for help we worked with other trainers and discipline was better. Reactivity and over-excitement still an issue. I followed multiple trainers via Instagram and came across Tiffany. I really enjoyed her content and felt so relatable to issues we were having with Bayley. I thought we had missed our opportunity as she books out far in advance. Timing was key as we are expecting our first child and wanted to have time for Bayley to adjust to life at home before a big change. With Tiffany’s help and a 4 week retreat we have a dog who still has her big, wonderful personality but is manageable and calm, she listens and communicates her needs in ways we now understand. Her reactivity is still a work in progress, but improving regularly with the tools, resources and continued support Tiffany has given us. I would highly recommend working with Tiffany and her board and train program.

Tiffany is a true expert at training dogs for a happy home life. We sent our 3 year old wirehaired pointing griffon to Tiffany for a month board + train program to work on her leash walking, barking, recall, and general obedience. Our pup is a sweet and good natured dog, but she had developed some bad habits like barking, leash pulling, and general anxiety (I'm sure we as the owners are to blame - oops!).
Tiffany takes the dogs she trains into her home, and treats them like she does her own dogs. Her years of experience are obvious, and she takes the time to really understand your specific dog and your needs as a family. She sends daily updates (except Sunday) and walked us through her training steps via Whatsapp messages so we were along on the journey and prepared for how to work with our dog when she came home.
Upon completion of the program some of the benefits were immediate - our pup was much less anxious thanks to Tiffany's place work and crate work training, she was much less reactive to people at the house (e.g., less barking at the doorbell) and other dogs on our walks (e.g., less lunging to play with other dogs), and her recall has been incredible.
The one area where our dog struggled upon coming home was leash walking. Tiffany had trained her and she walked perfectly with Tiffany, but when she came home with us she quickly reverted to her old pulling. Tiffany was super responsive on this issue, walked us through the problem on whatsapp, and she ultimately made a 6 hour roundtrip drive to work on the leash walking with us at home where we were having the issue (that's dedication!). Moral of the story - Tiffany can and will do a wonderful job training your dog, but you as the owner also need to be prepared to put the work in (especially if you're trying to brake old bad habits like we were).
If I could have done one thing over with my dog it would have been sending her to Tiffany when she was a puppy so both my dog and I could have done things right from the start. But hindsight is 20/20, and I'm grateful we had Tiffany to help get our dog back on the right path to being a happy member of our family. I can't recommend For the Love of Dog highly enough, we are so happy we did it.

I have been following Tiffany at For The Love of Dog on social media for several years. I was able to attend her community pack walks (donation based and funds donated to local non profits), safety in numbers and great way to create neutral dogs. Then my dog and I attended one of her workshops and really got to see the trainer she is. Dogs do understand Tiffany's language and she is able to assist owners to communicate with their dogs. When she created her K-9 Guardians online community I immediately joined to attend her weekly meet ups and her bi-weekly zoom meeting were members can share and discuss questions share videos and get instant feed back from Tiffany. She and the community are like having a coach and a cheerleader in your back pocket. If you are in need of dog training assistance or just a place to talk dogs (my husband doesn't want to listen anymore :-) ) then don't hesitate reaching out to For The Love of Dog.

Tiffany and her training program are both amazing! Can't say enough good things about our experience. This was the second program our dog went through and it was a night and day difference. Tiffany gives multiple updates and training lessons daily.

I almost gave up training my Service Dog in training due to local trainers not getting back to me, online training was just hard since I thrive on feedback, and watching my dogs siblings become confident service dogs in different states. Until I met Tiffany, she has literally been my savior and knight in giving me confidence along with becoming our cheerleader in our journey. I now have the guidance I’ve been needing and firmly believe my relationship with my Service Dog will thrive.

Tiffany is great! Show understands every dog and handler may be at different stages and takes that into account when holding her events. It’s been a great opportunity to bring my dogs out and into a controlled environment.
