This place is so wonderful they truly care about your pet and give you 100% every time. Its also great that they aren't super expensive which really helps when u want to give your loved one great care that doesn't break the bank.

I had my dog's teeth cleaned and shots updated. Very professional work. Prices are fair. The staff was quite friendly, informative, and understanding.

Can’t speak highly enough of Dr. Josh and Orland Veterinary Hospital. They’ve been treating my illness-prone senior cat with great success. My dad was a country veterinarian in Appalachian Ohio and the practice reminds me of his. Caring, competent & no frills. Highly recommend.

They were able to get my dog in for an eye problem right away and took very good care of her. The only thing I didn't like was the fee for the follow-up which was over $100! They charged an exam fee on top of a separate follow-up fee which threw me off a bit. So they definitely do their jobs, but it's quite expensive. The first visit was around $300 already.

Make sure to get a price for services in writing before this Vet does anything for you! This review isn't meant to disparage the Veterinarians in this office, they both seem nice and they did a good job on our dog's surgery. This is mainly about the billing and charges that they pass on to customers.I should qualify this by saying that we breed Scottish Fold cats and have a good deal of experience with different vets, and I usually know the questions to ask and am aware of what the cost will be for a procedure when dropping off/scheduling anything. We have a female dog who needed a spay and eye procedure. We had the initial appointment that was about $180 and seemed relatively normal. I asked after that appointment when I was scheduling her what the estimated cost would be, and the lady at the front office looked it up and the last time they performed the procedures and said it was about $680. This seemed normal and in-line with our expectations for what we would be charged. The issue occurred when we went to pick her up from surgery, and the charge was now almost $1400. I’m usually fairly understanding and I do realize that things come up and each pet is different, but to underestimate by that much could put someone who’s not in my financial situation in a pretty rough place, as it was 100% more than they initially quoted. Some of the charges seemed iffy to me as well. The anesthesia was $320, which is on the high side. Another interesting charge was OT for the vet techs. When I questioned this they told me that the procedure went longer than anticipated and the vet techs had to work through lunch. I’ve never seen a charge like that, and them starting the surgery at a specific time dictating those extra charges like I said seems rather iffy. We already had to pay for the extra time the vet, but that was a new one on me.They also stated that it went longer than anticipated and that necessitated some of the extra charges, but when I look at the base charges on the bill for the procedures it was well over $1000 without anything extra, more than initially quoted. Usually at other vets I have seen a procedure cost, but this vet has a procedure cost and time for the veterinarian as a separate charge. It seems as though this could be a deceptive way of charging more, as if you have a spay that costs $270 you can tell/quote that to customers, but when you add $300 for the vet’s time the cost is far higher. Our two procedures cost were close to $600, but then had the vet's time as a separate line item for over $300.Like I mentioned its not a huge deal for us, we can absorb an extra $700, but it seems like a rather deceptive business practice to me that could put someone in a bad position when they need to pay to pickup their pet.If you are scheduling any procedure here I would strongly recommend you get something in writing prior to doing so.

I was a loyal client at Orland Vet for about 10 years and there were issues along the way. However, in the last 3 years the quality of service has plummeted. Weird last minute schedule changes, passive aggressive staff, long wait times (appointment times mean nothing). "Care" for pets is based on if the office knows and likes you or not. The staff communicates with your animal rather than you and gives medicines without informing you of what they are or getting your constant. They gave my dog a de-wormer without asking. If I had given my dog a treatment recently, they could have been poisoning him. They are careless and unprofessional. In short, I pulled all three dogs from the Orland vet and am going to Chico now.

The ladies that did the nail trimming on my two dogs and cat, did an excellent job. They were also very nice and caring? ❤

I can't express how thankful I am for Dr. Brownfield and family. We had an emergency situation with our dog after hours and He met us at the office to assess her and give us the medicine she needed. I highly recommend Orland Veterinary Hospital.

Just went to a real veterinarian in Chico. These guys are a joke, and really should be ashamed about the quality of care they provide.

My dog was having a heart attack today and rushed her there because thats her Vet, went in there and they told me to go find someplace else, that they couldn’t help, rushed to Mid Valley Vet and they went outside and helped even carry her inside. THIS VET IS A DISGRACE . If you care about your pets switch to a different veterinary.
