One of the most beautiful outdoor sports facilities in the east Bay Area, hidden around impressive hills and a cold wind from the west makes this an ideal location for outdoor organized sports.

Lots of parking, beautiful mix of turf/grass fields, and it meanders up the side of a hillside.

Nice fields but every time we go there, there's signs up that it's reserved only for organized clubs yet there's not one person in some on any of the fields. Also. It gets pretty cold and windy over there thanks to the weather coming over the Oakland hills. If you go there, expect the signs but ignore them because there's literally nobody there. It's really stupid for them to put a generic sign that blocks any usage even when no one is there. Post a schedule with booked times and free times for the rest.

Wilder has such a polarizing feel to it. On one side, there is something for everyone here. Grass fields and turf fields. Baseball, soccer, lacrosse, playground, views and other amenities. But it also has wind, which is my biggest pet peeve. And, you never know what you will get until you arrive. These are the coldest fields in the Bay Area and also the hottest - depending on the day. So that’s the challenge; it’s best to bring all sorts of clothing layers as well as sunscreen and a wind breaker. It’s a beautiful place though I’m kinda happy my daughters soccer career is coming to an end so I don’t have to come here anymore. These are fabulous fields but I like others so much better.

This is a great place to have a family outing! The new "Wilder Arts and Garden Center" is a great venue to consider with LOTS of free parking!
