I wish I could give negative stars. Jack, the general manager, is the rudest man I have ever had the displeasure of witnessing interact with anyone-- in this case, it was my father. We had a minor confusion with the price of an item and we received from Jack dramatic eye rolls, aggressive mumbling to himself, and outright yelling at us when we asked for clarification. The clerk next to him even defended us at one point, telling him to stop yelling at us. He snapped at them and directed them to mind their own business with their customer. On top of that, he didn't refund us when the receipt says he owed us a cash refund, and we actually ended up paying MORE. I have never had a particularly pleasant experience with the staff at this Rite Aid location, but now having met the general manager, I can't blame his team for their distaste for the job. For the sake of your customers and the crew of employees at Rite Aid, something needs to be done about a manager who is so deeply disrespectful to the people around him and incompetent to boot.

I have attempted to fulfill 2 prescriptions, both times wrong information provided, lack of knowledge and communications between staff is troublesome and concerning. Pharmacist information is different from others assisting in that location. Hope they can get it together!

I'm a fan! Good service throughout the store! A jewel in Orinda. Did I mention plenty of convenient parking?

I made a vaccine appointment. When I arrived on time for my appointment, I was told the pharmacist was on a lunch break and would be back later (probably 15 minutes). I asked why offer an appointment and was told the pharmacy doesn't "connect to the website," whatever that means. Really mediocre response, really disappointing experience. They can, and should, do better.

I called to ask for vaccination availability, but the staff was rude. He hung up my phone before I finished twice. Without saying thank you or anything, he just answered my question and hung up immediately.

This is for the pharmacy. They're pretentious, rude and incompetent. I've repeatedly seen them turn people away saying they're too busy to help and come back later. If people are coming to a pharmacy they need help, do your job and help them. They should all be fired from what I've seen. They don't want to do anything but be lazy and rude to their customers. I hate that people like them are in a position of power over others. Huge thumbs down.

I wish we could have 0 star here. 9/12 4:40pmish there was an Asian old guy was extremely rude and refused to answer and respond to my questions and expelled me out of the store. Basically, he said returning formula would break the federal law. I’m accepting you do not accept returned formula but it is very questionable that they cannot accept formula returned because if they do, it will break the law. He cannot show me the evidence and he refused to continue the conversation. I donot know he treats Asian or young person that way whatever. He needs to be fired immediately! Worst experience ever.

Super friendly staff that was very helpful in finding supplies. The store was well organize and maintained. Tons of sales and discounts as well. Parking was also very easy. Be sure to check this spot out for all your over the counter needs

Orinda Rite Aid: I had a very poor experience returning items, even with receipts. Manager was abrupt, and the employee was a bit flustered.

Pharmacy Review So the Nigerian Pharmacist, needs to be educated on customer service and probably also organizational skills. I went there with a prescription and he immediately tried pushing me away because he seemed really busy. Gave me a bunch of reasons why I should go elsewhere. He was the only pharmacist on duty, I get it, but have some patience and care for the customers. We're not there to buy Thrifty's Ice Cream, we're there because we are in pain or suffering from health issues. He had the nerve to call me rude, when HE was extremely rude. I told him, I'm not being rude, I'm in pain! I ended up leaving and went to CVS, what a night and day experience. No hassle, friendly and caring people. Another thing to add, my wife recently picked up her meds from the same guy, and he gave her the correct meds, but stapled the wrong receipt to her bag. We were already at home and he calls us telling us we "have" to go back and pick up the proper receipt and give him the receipt we had. LOL, we "have" to go back. We don't "have" to go back no where. L**** with a capital L. Bottomline, this pharmacist is terrible, go to CVS for your meds, but go to Rite-Aid for Ice Cream!

Really terrible pharmacy. So slow. It's not like there's a long line and it takes awhile to get through everybody. Slow as in I've now twice been the only person to be in line and they do nothing to attend to the window for at least 5 minutes. Then they have no apparent protocol for giving vaccines. They acted inconvenienced when I said I was there for the covid vaccine, as though it were unusual to have vaccinations scheduled for that day. I've had an appointment both times and been on time. Really annoying.
