1601 Park St, Alameda“The staff is really friendly, the prices are more than fair compared to nearby liquor stores and they have a wide variety of options. I recommend this store without a doubt”
“Love this brewery bar! Everyone is so welcoming. My personal favorite was the lemon grass beer. So flavorful! I got some to go as well. There was a Korean food vendor from SF outside the venue so we got some snacks to go with the bar. Will be back !”
“So good and so friendly! Sailed into Ballena Bay and wandered over to the Harbor Mart and so glad I did! Lany was welcoming, friendly and a great cook! Bought a chicken banh mi and spring rolls for our sail back and they were fantastic! A great little store loved by everyone I met in the harbor. Worth stop if visiting Alameda!!”
“They have everything here. They have things you've always wanted to try, things you didn't know you wanted to try, and things that no one ever should try. Every time I go in I end up having a nice conversation with one of the employees and I find something new and interesting (as well as the thing I came for). Do yourself a favor and give yourself time to browse and soak in all the variety for a bit. It's well worth a visit.”
“Neighborhood Corner & Liquor Store is a mainstay on MacArthur and staffed with helpful and friendly folks. Good Sëlection of wares behind the counter and not.”
“I'd first heard about this place from Dr. Dave Jalen about 13 years ago. As a guy that doesn't drink, doesn't buy wine, and isn't very fancy...I'm at a loss about anything alcoholic. Wine scares me. Dan has been my trusted advisor for the past 13 years. He's not only provided me very solid recommendations (with a 100% appreciation rate), he has also helped me buy some legendary wine for some dental legends (Dr. Carl Misch (Dentist to pope John Paul, RIP), Dr. Jeff Brucia). Some of his wines are impossible to get, even for the dentist of the pope. Thanks, Dan!”
“Open late until 2am, carry huge selection of liquor and wines, mixers, sodas, groceries you'd expect from your neighborhood convenience store and the guys behind the counter are always professional and courteous. The reason I give it a four and not a five star is parking can be a huge challenge.”
“In a world of supermarkets, I love a corner neighborhood market. Great selection of snacks, drinks, candy, and grocery items. Went for the cheessteaks . Have to say, for the little corner shop, they were pretty good! They make them fresh, call ahead if you don't want to wait.”
9AM - 8PM
3524 Mount Diablo Blvd # A, Lafayette“I've now been to 2 of Jackson's affiliated liquor stores; each has knowledgeable staff and a good selection of beers and spirits. I go for the bourbons and stouts and am never disappointed in the selection. be prepared to pay a bit of a premium, but know they have some choices not found at competing local stores. I will definitely continue to shop there.”
“I live in Portland and I needed to buy a Holiday gift for my daughter and daughter in law, who live in Oakland, very close to your store. I called and spoke to Adriana who was lovely and so helpful. Adriana took care of everything and then called me to follow up. Excellent Service! Made my day!!! THANK YOU!!!”

5427 Telegraph Ave, Oakland“A friend introduced me to the Saturday afternoon tastings at Wine Mine and I loved it! The owner is very knowledgeable, super nice, very helpful, with a great selection of wines at very reasonable prices!”
“Alkali Rye isn't what I'd consider your "normal" liquor store. They have a wide selection of wine, spirits, and non-alcoholic drinks (coffee, teas, etc.) and other items that are more unique that going to a normal liquor store. They really try to feature women-owned/people of color-owned businesses as well as local businesses. They have a range of different priced items to match different occasions. When I've been the owners and staff seem pretty knowledgeable about the different items and have helped me and others to make good recommendations and not just trying to upsell the most expensive items.I'm a whiskey fan, so I'll put it this way, if you just want a bottle of Jack and Jim, you probably wouldn't go here. But if you want a good bottle that you couldn't get at a Safeway, come here!”
9AM - 8:30PM
1420 Encinal Ave, Alameda“When you need a fresh fruits and veggie pick-up during the middle of the week and don’t want to deal with the hassle of going all the way to Safeway this place is great especially if you’re within walking distance. They don’t jack up the prices here either the prices you get here for fruits and veggies is the same as Safeway.”

Especially Pliny the elder but I am always trying different ipa’s to see what’s out there. Super chill usually not too many people in there. Customer service is always chill (good thing)”

376 Grand Ave, Oakland“Best place for low key non stuffy wine tasting. This location carriers a wide variety of interesting and delicious wines. The wine club is very affordable and gives you 1 free wine tasting a month as a member.Highly recommended stopping here for a glass or a flight of wine!”
“Kate helped me pick out some affordable and special occasion wines that match with my tastes. My little wine rack is replenished. It's a cute store, very relaxed for wine shopping. I saw they had a few beers to try, too. I would come back next time I'm up here.”
“Shame on me for not posting a review of this place earlier. I love Oakland Yard and have been a loyal customer and wine club member for years. The space is beautiful, clean, refreshing, and the wines reasonably priced and wonderfully curated. The staff is friendly, knowledgeable, and unpretentious. Ask questions and you'll be guided well. Want to browse on your own? They'll respect your space. They host events and pop-ups from budding chefs that enrich the neighborhood and are such a lovely community hub. You can even bring your Tacos Oscar order. I don't know what else to say other than this is the gold standard for neighborhood wine shops. Oakland Yard forever!”
“I stopped by Arlington Wine & Spirits on the recommendation of a friend just before Christmas for a couple of gifts. I was looking for a few unique spirits that I wouldn't find at BevMo. The staff was friendly, knowledgeable and after a couple of questions got me exactly what I was looking for. I'll definitely be back.”
9AM - 12AM
4875 Telegraph Ave, Oakland“Extremely friendly and helpful. Held last bottle of one brand of liqueur after I called to see whether they had it, without my asking them to hold it. Good prices for a neighborhood retail store.”
8:30AM - 10PM
2300 Martinez Ave, Martinez“Helados ice cream, bagged cotton candy. And what I can say about these nice folks is they let you use the restroom instead of the usual BS "it's out of order"”
8AM - 9PM
5727 College Ave, Oakland“Trader Joe’s is my go-to market. They don’t carry everything the typical chain grocery store carries, but nearly everything TJ’s does carry is excellent.”
“This is THE spot to go if you need cigarettes, an adult or any other beverage, & any other random thing you may need or didn't know you wanted. This place is run by good, hard-working guys & it functions how a good business should. They recognize me as "Kamels with a 'K' guy." I just so happen so smoke Kamel Red Lights, & my name starts with a 'K. I'm kool with that. I once asked if they had candles by chance; for a vigil I was holding. I didn't see any on the floor, but it never hurts to ask. Some emergency candles were brought out”
“They just revamped the spot n it's so much better ! Organized and wow go check it out. I'm a regular here. If they don't have it they will order it if you're a regular customer. Check dates on food items is my only tip”
“Great store. Great people. Come here a lot. Food is great because of the restaurant inside is amazing great food the guy that made my food was really funny and quick to make the food and it tasted amazing.”
“The staff at the Orinda BEVMO are very polite and helpful. On the rare occasion that they don't have what I'm looking for they are quick with alternative choices of a similar nature.”
