The management is very rude. The person who takes the packages is looking to find an issue out of nothing. UPS & USPS most of the time have better pricing and customer service. 10% of my packages go through FEDEX and every time it is a pain.

This is a long d*** story. I went to pick up a package that was shipped under someone else's name for the company I work for. I was hoping I could pick it up with the information I had. The woman who helped me looked at my ID, said it didn't match the name on the shipping label, and asked for the tracking number, which was reasonable. I spent some time on my phone and eventually pulled up the tracking number. When I showed it to her, she asked for my ID again, and then told me it didn't match the shipping label so they couldn't give me the package. When I started to explain the obvious, why did you ask me for a tracking number when it wouldn't fulfill your requirements to release the package to me, a very unfriendly coworker with a seriously bad attitude started telling me about how they have rules, which up until then I thought I was following. He was very rude, acting like I was trying to break the rules. UPS gets customer service, these guys think they are doing you a favor.

The team here did an excellent job, helping me with a difficult situation today. There was a debate, whether or not a package was actually shipped by a company who I was returning an item to. They went above and beyond to help prove that the package was indeed delivered saving me hundreds of dollars. Looking forward to using them down the road. Thanks again!

This is the very first time that I have been told that I can get a receipt for my package because they can't touch it and mind you I dropped off a package here a week ago. An African American man told me that he can't touch it due to corporate policy...are you serious??? They need to retrain this employee!!!!

More bad service from George this week. Went to get a passport photo for our 2 year old. He looks at her and says he can't do it. Tells us there's a "corporate policy" not to do passport photos for kids under 2 because they can't sit still. There's no one else in the store at the time. She's not a rambunctious kid. "Can you give it a try she'll certainly sit still." No go, corporate policy. "Come on man, really you're gonna make me drive somewhere else because you won't get out the camera?" Now he gets mad. Let's me have it. I ask for the phone number to call "corporate" to complain. He refuses to give it to me: "now you've pissed me off!" he yells. We drove to CVS in Lafayette. My daughter sat perfectly still. Looked up passport photos on FedEx site; maybe such a policy exists but nowhere I could find.

Want to give a shout out to the staff at the FedEx in Orinda. The last two times I've been there have been great. I stopped in tonight because I needed to send a fax and George was extremely helpful, patient, knowledgeable and professional. I'll be back next time I need to ship or send anything.

Second time I have a bad experience with the same gentleman at this store, who does not seem to have any motivation or interest in keeping its customers but rather in simply making the hours to get paid. I had an urgent package to deliver and I showed up at 6:54 exactly. He begrudgingly asked me what I needed and mentioned twice that he'd see if he could help me because I was "not supposed to be here". Well... if I am not supposed to be there at 6:55, I guess I won't be there at 5:00 or 3:00 or 10:00. UPS around the corner is very helpful and that is now my go-to destination. Hire people who want to serve their customers; There will always be plenty of Jobs also for those who do not want to /or do not enjoy interacting with customers - just not customer facing ones!

My package was diverted to this store, despite my pleading with multiple FedEx reps to just deliver it to my house. Each said FedEx would get it done. They didn't. So now the package is already late, and tracking says it's at this store. I immediately head there, get there well within business hours, and the door is locked. The guy behind the register is tapping away at something. I rap on the glass, and point at my watch. He ignores me completely, and goes on tapping away. He ignored my questions, as well as the shouting through the glass that eventually followed. Closing way early when you have other people's things is bad enough. Completely ignoring a customer, when the store is in the wrong? Reprehensible. I've generally had very good luck with FedEx. The office in Alameda is full of superstars. But my experience with the Orinda store is limited to this one guy, and he was a disappointment, period.

Utterly useless! Stopped by to ship off a long box to the manufacture. I already knew the pricing was going too be high, due to the length, but I was unaware the wouldn't have a box to ship it in. The manager 'assisted' me, but was of no real help. And he was dismissive, cold and rude. Don't want my business, fine... message received, loud and clear! I'll find another site. Thank you for being so transparent!

Fantastic, smart, competent and friendly staff. The line moves quickly 99% of the time. Such a popular place and for good reason. Several notaries are always available. Helpful people and GREAT service. Trust them with your most difficult projects and yes, annoying returns. Deserving of our appreciation. 5 STARS. Thank you!!! (From a grateful lifetime local.)

Please please staff your Orinda location better. Having one person working...is not working. The lines are out the door. Happy Returns should take no time, instead they take 45 mins.
