They now do acrylics and tips! As an orinda resident I was always bummed that this place only did natural nails. I would come for pedis. And bring my girls but I had to go to wc. I came last week- new ownership, new look and they now do acrylic with tips! Today I made an appt and my nails look fabulous! Love them! Val is great, super friendly. So thrilled to now have a place in orinda. Thank you!!

I started coming to this place before the recent management change and beautiful renovation. The service you receive here is top notch. Everyone is super friendly. As soon as you walk in they offer you drinks, I usually come Saturday morning so why not start it off with a mimosa, and everyone is very kind and helpful getting you set-up for your me day. If you’re in the San Jose area and need a nail tech come check this place out. I always come see Paul and he always gets my nails right!

My first time not my last time! Laura is a magician. 6 step pedi was fantastic. It's next door to my favorite barber Dave at Silver Fox Barber shop. Gentleman hair and those toe nails. 50 feet from each other! You can get yourself a beer after at Fourth Bore Tap Room which is 30 feet from hair and nails. Just do it!

Used to love this place under Vy's watch, but the quality has declined. My last two gel manicures only lasted a couple of days before the edges started peeling away. Also, on two of my nails the polish bled onto my finger and when it flaked off later that day, the manicure on those nails were ruined. Not sure, but I believe this business was sold recently and under new ownership/management?

Well... I'm not quite sure what's going on. I've been sporadically going to bamboo spa for the past year (I'm not necessarily a regular but I do go in for special occasions) and the last two times I've gone have been pretty horrible. For the price you pay, I expect good quality gels; and the last time I was there I ended up going back because the gel bubbled up the next day with 50% of my mani just gone. I complained to the woman who did my nails immediately after and she assured that once I washed my hands the bubbles would be gone. When I came back, the owner was gracious enough to offer a $5 gift card for the double time spent getting my nails done. Now today's gel mani... I took my own gel (given the other was such bad quality), and take a look at the photos. Does this look like a $60 manicure? Bleeding edges, paint on my fingers, loose bits snagging on my clothes ... plus I got burned by the water with my pedi and when I complained the same woman who did my nails last time scolded me that she was tempering the water. How about tempering it before it's boiling hot and you tell me to insert my feet. The staff has really declined, and therefore quality has as well. Unfortunate.

Augh literally the most expensive gel manicure and gel pedicure that ended up coming off the next day! The lady who did the pedi took so long I didn't even get the massage and the lady who handled the mani did a total rush job. The mani lady gave the pedi lady the wrong nail polish (I had asked for the same for mani and pedi) and didn't even bat an eye when I told her. I know orinda is expensive but you would think the work would be worth it. Don't recommend.

I came into this place in the middle of a rainy weekend morning when they were fully empty to get a pedicure and manicure. I was yelled at by one of the attendant because I looked through the actual display of nail polishes vs. picking from the ring of mail colors. I explained that id rather see the actual bottle while picking colors but she was very mad and downright rude. I told her I didn't want to get a manicure anymore. I stayed to finish the pedicure since she had already started. Turns out she was rude and also incompetent - the nails were cut in different shapes and cut too deep that it was bleeding already. Never coming back here again!

So disappointed and soooooo expensive! No soaking solution for the foot soak???? Ridiculous and horrible foot massage! Will never go back and I spent 100 on the mani pedi and it was awful in every aspect!Services: Pedicure

I've been really happy with Bamboo Spa but my teen daughter has had two bad experiences. She went in with friends before prom and they were rude to them, specifically demanding tips (which I had sent with my daughter and her friends along with cash for the the payment). Today, she went in again to get a gel manicure and pedicure. They painted her toes the wrong color. When she let them know, they just painted over the previous polish with the right color (instead of removing and doing it over), so the fingers and toes are a different color, which was not what she asked for. Also, one of the toes has a rather obvious blemish. It's a shame. She paid the same $90 + tip that any adult would pay, yet was bullied into accepting subpar work.

Can you say amazing??!! My manicure couldn't have turned out more fun! We are a Phillies family and I wanted to do a baseball theme and Vy couldn't have been more creative or kind working on this little "project"! I also returned and had an autumn manicure done. So pretty!! My son was with me and they couldn't have been kinder to him while we were there :) This place is such a treat to relax at and be pampered. Give it a try!
