PETS Hospital literally saved my dog’s life in June. She was diagnosed with an autoimmune disease that destroys her red blood cells and required 3 emergency blood transfusions. The first two were done at PETS Hospital including a whole blood transfusion from one of the vets dogs, but on Sunday a week later when Lilly’s red blood count dropped again PETS was out of blood. The vets stabilized her and called around looking for a hospital with a blood supply in Lilly’s type. They found a hospital in Santa Barbara and we raced her down there. Up to 70% of the dogs diagnosed with IMHA don’t make it especially during the initial crisis. Lilly is still with us, still battling IMHA but is now stable. If it hadn’t been for PETS Hospital, their quick action and diligence I know Lilly would not have made it.

Took a cat into be seen for extreme dehydration, and being emaciated. They stuck me in a room for over an hour without even looking at the cat. There was no budget. I would’ve paid anything. I called emergency vet in Arroyo Grande and they took him right in.

It was a horrible experience, it has been 2 times not same pet, one passed, no compassion for pet, willing to provide service poor, sad that being one of the only Pet ERs in town we can not trust them with our pets. Even the initial call was with a very poor willingness to help my pet. Very disappointed. Please improve your service to our communities fur babies. You all choose that profession.
We talk to 4 different staff members thru out the night, same vibe. :(

This is our second pet that dies in the hands of this hospital. First it was my chihuahua and now it’s our husky. Just be cautious with your fur pets!

Our cat Milo is currently at the Pet Hospital and he has been there for 2 days with one more to go due to having had a seizure. The entire staff and Doctors have been nothing short of AMAZING. I can not properly express how much we appreciate all they have done for our pet and in turn for our family.

Unfortunately, this is just a moneymaking facility. They don’t dive deep into what the cause of a health issue is. Because they are only trained into certain things that keep them in business.
It’s a shame just like the doctors of today for humans. It’s about pushing big Pharma and not figuring out what the issue really is.

Finding out that our beloved 6y Weimaraner, Netflix, had bone cancer was one of the hardest moments of our lives. We were heartbroken and overwhelmed, but the team at AMAZING Pets Hospital stepped in and turned our despair into hope. Dr. Terhaar, Erin, Kelsey, and the entire staff acted with such compassion and expertise that we instantly knew Netflix was in the best hands possible!!
Dr. Terhaar & team performed the amputation on 8/6, and by the very next morning, Netflix was home, adapting to life as a TriPaw like a champ. The transformation was nothing short of miraculous—his deep bone pain was gone, and his joy for life returned. The relief and happiness we see in him now is a priceless gift, one that we will forever be grateful for.
But what truly sets Pets Hospital apart is how they treat their PAWtients like family. Netflix had always been a bit anxious at the vet, but here, he’s greeted with such warmth and genuine care that he actually feels safe and relaxed. He’s no longer a nervous pup—he’s so comfortable, he’s excited to see everyone when we arrive, and once he even dozed off in the waiting room! It’s a comfort to know that even in these difficult times, Netflix is in a place where he feels loved and cared for.
While we understand that our time with him may be limited, what matters most is that he’s living his best life, full of happiness and comfort. We’ll be back in a few days for his staple removal, but until then, we want to extend our deepest thanks to the team for setting the absolute platinum standard in veterinary care. Your dedication has made all the difference, and we are sending BIG, BIG hugs your way!
With all our love and gratitude,
Katee & Netflix the Weimaraner

If I could rate a zero I would. Called this vet because my cat is showing signs of being poisoned and staff said they are too inundated and told me to call another vet and hung up. Horrific customer service.

Just recently took my dog in for xylitol poisoning and they saved his life. Staff were nice and compassionate. They also had to deal with my dog trying to bite every one ?. Thank you! I hope we never come back though !

Very kind staff, once the staff saw my pet and understood that they needed care and were not in good health they were understanding and did seem to really care about making sure the animals were okay as their priority, which is the only thing I’d ask for going to any of these places. Thank you, I would trust them with my dogs health again, which for me I find it very hard to trust anyone with my fur child, so definitely 5 stars and my gratitude. Would recommend. Quality care, they only care about quality.

We took our dog to PETS Hospital and had the best experience. The whole staff was kind, thorough, energetic, and efficient. Our dog was seen in a timely manner and was treated very well. We are grateful to have them in our community!

I had to bring my dog, Chico, in because he fell. As a dog mom, I was freaking out and couldn't wait for my regular vet.
When I called, I spoke with Connie, who was super sweet and understanding towards me and my boy Chico. She listened to what I had to say and assisted me with further information on their availability.
I wish I had the names of the assistants who helped me as well, but they were just as wonderful.
Dr. Bryan was kind and professional. You could tell he loves what he does! He eased my anxiety and made sure to go over all options for treatment.
Being able to watch my comfort show on a nice loveseat was unexpected but a huge plus. There was also water, coffee, snacks, and sodas available.
In addition, their prices don’t seem to be insanely inflated like other ERs. It’s such a relief to have this extra aid during these hard financial times.
Chico is home now, resting and seemingly more comfortable than earlier.
Thanks to the entire team for the great support during this worrying time that could’ve gone so much worse!?

I recently took my pet to PETS HOSPITAL, and it was a fantastic experience! The staff was incredibly friendly and took extra care with my furry friend. From the front desk to the vets, everyone was so kind and professional.
What really stood out to me was the cost. Their prices are about half of what I usually pay in Santa Barbara, but the service quality was top-notch. I felt confident and comfortable leaving my pet in their hands, knowing they were in great care.
If you’re looking for a pet hospital that offers fantastic care without breaking the bank, PETS HOSPITAL is definitely the place to go. No more Santa Barbara for me—PETS HOSPITAL has won me over! Highly recommended!
