oh COVID box dye disater! thank you so much for the ladies at last tangle for referring me to Billy he saved my hair and did he most awesome color correct on my damaged hair!! I was so happy to have someone to fun to sit with for hours while he corrected the color! He was so funny and the time flew by in the chair!! Thank you so much!! Everyone is so nice here!! Really frustrated with Julie's rude retort to me, and now also the lack of return phone calls. Evidently no one answers their main salon phone - EVER. I left a couple of messages (after not receiving any response directly from my Stylist on her cell phone). I truly feared something had happened to her. Nope. Two months of worry later, and I finally managed to get an appointment. Ridiculous. And as to this invasive owner's response to my previous review? Outlandish twisting of the facts. Julie - I endured THREE separate appointments where I was mid-sentence with my Stylist and you just barged in to have your own conversation with her - EACH TIME. Only with her - over towels, "the machine", or a service person that didn't show up. Your issues had NOTHING to do with me. You never apologized for your intrusion, or even acknowledged me - not ONCE. I am looking for a new salon and stylist. I shouldn't have to call repeatedly to get an appointment, and Julie, it is VERY RUDE to constantly interrupt clients who are in mid sentence with their Stylists. And with your inaccurate response where you feign to have been conversing with ME - you have convinced me. I shall find a new salon where I am treated as if I exist.

After moving away from the Sacramento area for several years I came back and returned to The Last Tangle. my stylist, Kim Highsmith is one of the best for reasons too many to list here. She performed a mini miracle for me yesterday and I will never forget it! She is a warm, caring, funny girl who really knows her craft! I love you Kim!

Looking for an amazing full service salon? I recommend The Last Tangle Salon in Orangevale!!! Just look at the transformation Lyn did on my hair! The difference is crazy! I also had the BEST deep tissue massage with Kristen. I have really bad osteoarthritis and a frozen shoulder, but she was able to work miracles! I can't thank Lyn, Kristen and Julie enough for helping me get a fresh start on 2022!

Kylie serviced two of my sisters and did a wonderful job so I reached out to her to see if she could do mine also, I was very clear in my initial text that my hair is dyed an unnatural color and that I wanted it to be dyed to a different unnatural color. Kylie did not respond to me for days, when she did finally respond she asked me to send photos of my current hair, what I was looking to get and also my availability to schedule. I responded immediately, and kylie never responded to me, a week later I reached out asking if she was still open to schedule, again to no respond. Only to find out that same day my sister had messaged her and scheduled an appointment the following week. I think this is very unprofessional and if she was unable to perform the service I asked for she could have said it wasn't her specialty and directed me to someone who could or at least say she wasn't accepting mew clients if she didn't want to say she wasn't comfortable performing the service! I will not be reaching out to her again in the future.

I love the Last Tangle! I drive a decent distance just to used their services. Kylie is my go to for both my and my daughter....I have terribly stubborn grey hair and she always gives me a fabulous color and cut, my teenager daughter has done colors with her as well and is always thrilled (and teenagers are never happy so that says something! ?)Kirsten the nail guru there does the perfect mani/pedi and her setup is so cute and comfortable. You can tell she takes pride in her profession and the style. Relaxing gorgeous pedi worth every mile to get there!

BEWARE DO NOT GET THE BALYAGE HAIR SERVICE /HAIRCUT HERE from KYLIE. As a 1st time client Horrible experience. Recieved horrible hair service from Kylie , the supposed 'balyage expert'. No expert here, showed her the pic of my desired look. All she did was lighten my root and did not break up my grown out roots, leaving the total line of demarcation exposed and not throughly blended with a true highlight technique . Worst of all , I was still brassy. Clearly no expert here. Also she sped right thru my haircut, resulting in choppy layers, a $40 haircut should not be less than 10minutes but if that's what your seeking by all means shes your gal for the job. Aside from that, she was very dry and asked me the same questions twice, clearly she didn't care but she tried, her efforts were quite sad. Terrible Terrible. Will not be coming back EVER. Also Kylie and her collegue were badmouthing the owner, citing their grief with the owner's disapproval of hanging their hair irons on the wall as they just moved 2 doors over into a new suite. Very unprofessional to be speaking bad of the person who gave you a career opportunityand spoke so highly as to say she - Kylie- was their 'balyage expert' .

This salon doesn't follow the mask guidelines set in place. Only saw a couple people wearing masks the entire time I was there. Very unprofessional, they acted like there has been no pandemic going on for the last year.

If you like torture to the point where you are sweating and almost blacking out due to the pain then this place is for you. Today I just received an email from this "therapist" that she is open again for business. The massage was about a year ago and I didn't post anything, but now that I look back after getting this email that she's back I have to say that I honestly think she's a masochist. Kristine does not have the inherent familiarity of the human body that even a normal person would let alone a "therapist". Sharp elbows the whole time in places where they shouldn't be with the pressure of someone trying to kill you (in my opinion). Found her on Groupon along with the maid on Groupon who never showed up but charged me. Go for it! Let me know if I'm wrong. This business was not on Yelp, I had to add it. From today's email from her: "On Aug 28th Governor Newsom finally announced that Salons may start operating indoors with modifications. Thank you once again for your patience. Trust me when I say that if they shut me down a third time I will go crazy." Good Luck!!!! LOL.

I bought my mom a groupon for a massage here and she hasn’t been able to make an appointment because no one will call her back. Similar situation with me that I have been trying to make an appointment for the last week and no one answers the phone or texts back. Hard to give it a good review when the appointments desk is MIA.

I've been searching for someone who could do a good a-line AND good color. It's been tough!!! Aimee nailed it! I love my hair & am so happy to have found Aimee at The Last Tangle. Also, the vibe in there is so down to earth & fun, everyone was so friendly!

My daughter and I have been coming to Last Tangle Salon to see Kylie Phillips for the last 4 years +! We love her!! Always a great cut and color and she does it all with a huge smile. She stays current on all the trends too. Never a bad cut all for a reasonable price. I recommend!

This salon is so beautiful! The ambiance is fun and the decor is a cute ocean mermaid theme! I just love all the detail in the decorations. The stylists are warm and I am always greeted with a smile. I drive all the way from Elk Grove to this salon because the vibe is so great! I recommend you make an appointment with Vickie! She is great! She is super knowledgeable. During my appointments she explains what she is doing every step of the way and always answers my questions without making me feel silly for asking. She suggests different options with a no pressure approach. I have learned so much about the processing and cutting of my hair during our appointments. She is very easy to talk to and goes out of her way to make her clients feel special. I have really long hair and every stylist I have been to has 'recommended' I cut it short or to trim it an insane amount. Not Vickie. She embraces my long hair and works with it to give me the color, cut, and style I desire. She understands that your hair is the crown you wear everyday and when you look in the mirror you should feel like the princess you are! I leave her chair feeling beautiful every time!
