I don’t have enough good things to say about this place and Steve! My Mercedes GLA250 overheated on my way to Lake Tahoe to celebrate my baby’s first birthday. I called so many mechanics and no one wanted to work on my car because is a Mercedes. I ended up bringing it to the Mercedes dealership in el dorado and they charged $288 to tell me it was my thermostat and quoted me $3100 to fix it! I almost passed out and cried. But then due to a miracle I found Dave’s on Google maps and I called in. Steve told me to bring the car right away and he quoted me almost three times less than the dealership! He was honest and understanding of my situation. He had the car ready way sooner than he initially expected (only like a day and half turn around) and the ending price was also lower than initial quote. My car is in perfect condition no more overheating and I didn’t have to go into debt for it. Steve was wonderful, he turned a very stressful situation for me into a relief (especially being a mom to a baby and dealing with this on my own) if I lived near the area I would only bring my Mercedes here for repairs! Thank you for your help Steve??????

Steve and his crew are THE BEST. Honest, friendly, and they do the work RIGHT! Avoid the DEALERS at all costs! Steve's crew has had to fix Roseville BMW's screw ups MANY TIMES. We HIGHLY recommend Dave's European Motors!

What an honest group of people at DEM.Arguably they want to bell you, not necessarily make money off of you.My SL600 has been in their storage yard for about 2 months while I get my affairs in order and Steve has been nothing but accommodating.Previous to his car being with them, my i3 was actually reffered to another mechanic because he didn't think k he could give my car the service required. Who does that? Turn down money? And what a good referral too.Ultimately I'm a huge fan of this place and I love the fact that they're honest to a fault.Steve and his team will take care of you and your car; and if they can't- they send you to someone they know can.

I went in to get an oil leak fixed and another issue worked on. I guess the first sign that I should have gone somewhere else was when my initial phone call with the owner turned into conspiracy about Bill Gates and microchips - you see where this is going. Anyway, I ignored the first warning sign and proceeded to send my car to them. Second warning came when the owner continued with the "covid is fake" b.s. and telling me about some q-anon type site he goes to. Third warning sign was after I picked up my car. I noticed on the way home that things like my hand sanitizer was missing, and some towels I kept in the back seat. When I got home I then saw that my rear license plate was missing, as well as a bicycle pump, windshield washer fluid bottle and some other odds and ends - a very eclectic array of missing things. I called the owner and immediately he tried to point the finger at the tow truck driver (???). I'm certain it was because they didn't lock my car up over the weekend and a homeless person probably took what they needed (hence my satellite radio and a few specialized tools were left behind). The owner thought that didn't add up since a newer, more expensive car was not touched -- I'm thinking YEAH, BECAUSE SOMEONE MADE SURE TO LOCK THE EXPENSIVE CAR! anyway, he didn't take any accountability on this at all. Final warning sign is, my car still leaked oil, so I went somewhere else (-wasn't going back to Dave's ever again), I went to Angelo's (much farther away) and they are telling me that the valve cover seal that Dave's supposedly replaced for almost $500, still needed to be replaced and then listed all the issues causing the oil leak that Dave's apparently missed or didn't bother to check. SO, I'm not saying this place is bad, It sounds like they do great work for some people. I'm just letting you know my experience was on the opposite end of that, so it's really a roll of the dice as to what you get there, just be prepared. And if your into conspiracy theories, I'm sure you will find the owner to be very entertaining.Services: Engine repair

I think Daves is a roll of the dice place. I don't want to discount other reviews praising the business but I also want to tell my experience over the summer.
